How incredibly ironic and harmonious to get a level named "The End," and having a description saying "this is finally the end," when you hit the 3000th level, ending the challenge! That's a billion to one chance! Wow!

From what Kirbs said, Hot Sponge is the most played level in SMM2, which is a huge accomplishment.

The funny/interesting thing about Z7’s 77,777 endless expert clears was that he ended up getting a level made by someone named Gabe77. Ended up with 77 lives. Easier to “plan” for 77 lives, but to randomly get 77 in a creator name or level name is basically impossible.

gotta love how the 3000th level was called "the end" also i skipped through the last couple levels while listening to "I will survive" and seeing you go from 3 lives to over 10 was perfectly fit for the song

At this point you could stream tic-tac-toe and we'd watch. Sure Mario is fun, but it's you we love. You truly are a skilled content creator, even watching a vod you engage us and make it feel personable. Keep up all you do. I wish dragon quest was more accessible, but perhaps some Rayman? Legends was brilliant.

I've been watching Ryu as far back as his "colourful commentary" days. I have always admired his positive attitude to his chat and whatever he is playing. I've had days as dark as the deepest abyss of Hell, and somehow Ryu has managed to pull me out of them, just by uploading a video. Can't thank these guys enough, all the best to you and Tammy for 2024, this will be the year that you hit 1mill.

You know you've made a shitty level if it has mandatory damage for little to no reason and unforeseeable deaths. The player should always lose to his/her own inadequacy. They should always be given all the information they need to make the correct decision the first time, even if the information is subtle or hard to read. For example; it's okay to have arrows pointing in the wrong direction as long as you somehow told the player previously in the level in some way that the arrows can mislead them. Good level designers have to keep that and much much more in mind when designing the level blueprint. The best levels are the ones that the player has the potential to beat on the first try without complete uneducated guesses, among other things, like appropriate enemy and power-up layout, secerets that reward the players curiosity and skill, and a sense the they have accomplished something by the end.

Hey Ryukahr, If you live in California still, Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Hollywood opens on Feb. 17th 2023. Like in 13 days from now. But I don't know what the temperature is there this time of year. Everywhere is crowded now too.

You must have done the last level the way the creator intended (tight timer) but there might have been cheese somewhere. Maybe in the first p-switch or going faster than the saws before the pipe entry?

When I worked at NOA in Bellevue the game play counselors were unanimous in their claim that 4 white wizards was the toughest team to get thru Final Fantasy.

The level at 51:00:00 is the closest to Sonic I've ever seen replicated in a Mario Maker level. That was just enough "on-rails" action to be very satisfying and fluid
