@@sm0key152 pretty sure it’s a fact the last 3 were awful battlefield games granted this new trailer is bringing me closer to a possible purchase after launch but considering the past few games im fine waiting instead of getting hyped by any steaming feces with a single pretty cgi trailer .

Except battlefield 1, I want to see biplanes fighting stukas, fighting jets. And mark V tank fighting a tiger tank, fighting an M1 abrahms while there are people riding horses running through people with their lances and getting sniped by a martini henry, burnt to a crisp by flamethrower or clubbed to death by a trench raider meanwhile a zeppilen, dreadnaught, char 2c, or armored train behemoth is helping the losing team, Dice pls. (Srry for my english)
That's just incredible. I'm a huge fan of vehicles and now we'll have an insane amount of variety. I'm hoping the flight controls will be a little better for BF5 air vehicles. Insane sandbox capability. Awesome!
You know I like the direction AAA devs are taking with their games. Basically saying "This is going to be *the* game for this generation." Halo Infinite is looking like the same thing
I hope they keep adding to this after launch, I’d love to see some more maps from the already added games as well as maps and factions from BF4 and BF1
The old style server browser was always good. Plus coupled with their quick match search from past BFs it was fine. I think they'll have it under control with a good system. Dice is pretty good about that tbh, but I agree with your concern.
I heard that they might implement this the BFV way where empty servers close down. Is this true? This NEEDS dedicated community run servers to work like in BF4
@@conkerlive101 they did say that the 2042 maps will be apart of this and they already support up to 128 players so technically yes there could be custom br game modes plus they even remastered a lot of these maps to fit 128 players as well
i think this can be a great thing specifically for cod players who dread battlefield large scale maps. just imagine with 13 maps in total, alongside the ability to scale the maps to 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 size, you can basically recreate 39 smaller sized maps. crazy to think about!
What I would like to see is the ability to take an existing map be able to designate certain areas for TDM and Domination game modes. Traditionally when you play a smaller version of the larger maps a certain area is designated as the play space. Like in Siege of Shanghai if we could play on the other side of the water where the parking garage is for TDM would be awesome.
I want to make a "Brutal Spiderman" mode; City map... Infantry, knife, and grapple-hook guy only. But the grapple-hook has no cool down. Swing-swing stabby-stabby.

You can kind of create your own maps Matt if you think about in Portal you can take a much larger map, and isolate a region and make that into a map itself. So say on Arica Harbour if you wanted to cut out the port down the bottom and just have the top base and middle town area as a map, you can.
I really hope they will also give us proper map making tools. Imagine the longevity of this game with the community could make their own maps, holy shit.
Of course you'll be able to level up, like in BF3 just because I played on a custom 24/7 ziba tower server didn't extricate my progress from a regular random map server.
@@mre1995 that, or rather than disable it they could just set an XP cap, because people are going to farm regardless; I remember BF3 was annoying for this, like you'd get on a server and four people would just be in a corner downing and reviving each other...
I haven't been this excited for a game in years, it kind of feels like we've been in a sort of dark age for gaming for the past few years due to the fact that we have just gotten boring, broken, and unfinished games and this year feels different because we are getting so many great things like Bf2042, Forza 5, Halo Infinite, ect So I hope we can finally enter a new golden Era for games now that DICE is actually in tune and listening to their community and hopefully more game devs will start doing the same
This is like Halo Forge, but Battlefield and it looks and sounds absolutely beautiful. One of the best additions to battlefield and one of the best concepts in gaming and I'm glad one of my other favorite franchises is getting it.
I hope they support the game for a few years so we can eventually get BC1/BC2 only lobbies if they truly keep up with the two maps per season that would be crazy!

60 v 60 snipers only search and destroy, vampire - melee kills perm inc speed x2, tank tdm, vip… in the sky, wingsuit racing. Choppers vs tanks. Etc etc etc…
I’m really excited to see how this mode works. I am kinda disappointed to see a lack of representation from Battlefield One and Hardline, but maybe they’ll end up adding new weapons, vehicles and maps from that game and others down the line
I've never played a battlefield game (grew up with Halo), but 2042 looks mighty tempting compared to the lackluster stuff other AAA studios are showing as of late.
Even having Portal by itself is in it of itself a worthy Battlefield release. but having 2042 + Portal will be Dice's magnum opus, if it goes out well. I really hope this succeeds because this sounds amazing
So lookin forward to playing on Bad Company 2 maps again. Hopefully, we will get more maps as DLC or something. Great start for a proper modern game again!
props to DICE, they know their fans, just hope they don’t let too many bugs through. I don’t mind if this game is delayed if they keep adding bomb features like these

If the scripting tool is powerful enough, it will end up more popular and balanced than the main game, with better modes. Besides, you can't really port anything from 20 year or even 10 year old game. Basically done from scratch
