This Is Going To Be Pure Chaos | iRacing IMSA @ ViR 

Good to see Jimmy to do some IMSA again. Great to see positive attitude throughout even under unfortunate times. Makes it so much more enjoyable. Hope to see more like this. 😊

Just did the ChampCar 24 at VIR a couple weeks ago. A few takeways. 1. I surprised myself at how comfortable I got with the track having never seen it before. 1/2 hour of practice, then go race. 2. There are about zero lights at the place, the paint isn't reflective on anything and it takes some commitment to keep your foot in it going down the back chute well north of 100mph in the dark. 3. Finding yourself going backwards through the grass at the top of the esses at about full speed is scary AF, although I kept it out of the fence. The other guy that spun at the same time wasn't quite so fortunate. I'm still not really sure what the hell I did wrong, but such is life. Car needed an alignment afterwards, we got it back out pretty quickly. 4. If you are there and don't escape to the air conditioned room under the garage stalls on a hot summer day, you're doing it wrong. It took me way too long to discover that existed.

Was just there for the Weathertech Championship: Michelin Pilot Challenge VP Racing SportsCar Challenge Lamborghini Super Trofeo NA Porsche Carrera Cup NA Mazda MX-5 Cup. Tons of great racing, including LMP3s running with the GT3s, 4s and GTDs. Great track.

@JimmyBroadbent and all other (R5) Moza users. The auto FFB detection feature in options of Iracing is great and I advise anyone to use that and to set up your Moza wheel FFB in pithouse at 100%. Yet that said, I found out that caused weirdness by overheating the base of my R5 base causing FFB to get lowered automatically by the base to not cause "a "meltdown"" of the base after long (more than 2 hours) use of my dd r5 wheel. Lower the FFB to 90% in pithouse and/or to 5.0Nm in Iracing to not run into weirdness over long usage/ stints/ races because of overheating protection auto dial-down FFB problems, always use the Extreme cooling setting in pithouse. And for all other Sims use common sense, to not run into inconsistent FFB over long usage of your R5 base. Or the easy fix use a cooling fan just to be sure your base won't heat up to or over 60 degrees centigrade. Have fun! :)

Hi Jimmer, I'm Dutch just joined Iracing via Steam a week ago and got out of rookies on roads and rally already. Now I want to get myself some more tracks and cars. but the problem is I can't seem to get Iracing gift cards to obtain the needed credit to do so, thus if anyone could advise or help me with that I would be very grateful.

Seeing the wipers in the view here reminds me their inclusion in iRacing/R3E is akin to breasts on a bull. With fully dynamic racing lines now a real thing for the first time in a sim in AMS2 (rt2 dry/wet is fixed no matter where cars drive), I suspect we are going to have to wait much longer for wet/dry transitions in iRacing as they rethink it.

Word is next year IMSA will have the full grid at VIR, which will be loads of fun. Really, IMSA needs to do away with the GT only rounds, it's awful for the sport to have a couple races where the most exciting cars to watch aren't present.
