Enjoyed the video. I'll be retiring this November, and my wife and I plan plenty of adventures, riding (Road Glide or Heritage 114, Stage 2 Torque Cam in each) and RV'ing (33' Toy Hauler) and riding into the Midwest and West. Your videos are an inspiration to us.
Montana is a great state to ride in. You better have lots of different jackets and cold weather gear though. The extreme elevation changes can make for an interesting ride if you are not prepared. My wife and I along with our LEMC love to explore this vast and beautiful state that we have.
Great video brother, I’m planning a coast to coast trip on my street glide from Ohio to California in June. You may remember me from run to the hills 2023 license plate OWN 1 , I’ll see you again this year!!
Two yrs ago I rode from Ohio to California and up the Pacific Coast Hwy (PCH). I made it to Leggett then headed East. This yr. I want to finish riding California and up to Oregon the Washington State then maybe up to Canada and back East to the other side of Canada. I saw some beautiful country.
Really enjoyed watching the video. Nice to see someone who actually rides on long trips. My longest was 9200 miles in 1974 starting in Tacoma Washington going through Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Oregon and back to Washington. 20 days on the road meeting relatives I had never seen before and enjoying the freedom and landscape of the open road. I was in the Army and took a 30 day leave. Sense then I've taken many long road trips none quite as long as that one. I just enjoy the new views and the smells of the grasses, trees, food smells and coffee after a long ride, its actually hard to explain, you just have to do it. 70 years old now and broke my back 3 1/2 years ago on a job, no long rides for me now but good memories. Love your videos, sure wish we had the technology when I was young.
@TravelingTall I see you use a short windshield on your glide. Do you get much buffeting at highway speeds? I tried the Klock Werks 15” shield on my 2019 Road Glide Ultra and the buffeting is horrible! I just received the tallest shield Clearview makes and will try that this weekend. I want to find some protection from the wind and weather on my long highway trips. 6’4” tall and hopefully I can find something that works to keep from getting beat to death. Safe riding brother 🙏
Have you tried going down in sizes. I'm 6'4 and have a FXLRS (i'll get a bagger one day). I started with the 15" windshield from Memphis Shades and it was awful at highway speeds. Dropped down to a 9" and it's so much better. No buffeting and the wind is clean and still kept off my chest. Just my experience but hope you find something that works!
