Hardly responsible environmentally. They’ve been part of the fossil fuel based aviation industry emitting vast quantities of greenhouse gases and pollutants and noise disturbance and are only recently dabbling in alternative propulsion at a time we have essentially reached well over 1C (possibly 1.4C) of global heating. They’re also responsible for promoting air travel in general. Everything the business does involves environmental degradation and is purely driven by the pursuit of monetary gain and sales of combustion vehicles

@@drrobairebeckwith3687 Its called fuel efficency. Aircrafts burn less fuel per person then cars does. Plus when it comes to the resto of the world europe is world leading when it comes to decreasing emissions. Around 40% of the entire EU energy grid does not realease co2 compared to americas 8%. If it was not for the stupid germans it would have been around 60-70% not realeasing co2 since germany removed their nuclear power plants. This is why the french only have around 10% its electricity generation releasing co2. Meaning if their cars are electric they are actually positive for the enviroment compared to if you got a electric car in germany. The same goes for america since there is a low percentage in comparison of green energy. Airbus is extremely good since they are going to soon start to push for hydrogen engines for aircrafts that can use electricity to create the fuel and if the electric grid does not release co2 then it is 100% renewble. Statistics never lie and people do not understand the solution but instead goes for buzz word terms instead of the actual boring solutions. Thats why when idiots who are for the enviroment are against nuclear energy they are ignoring the reality that the only nations that has reach true net zero are the ones with heavy use of nuclear power plants(sweden with 66% hydro power and 30% nuclear energy 96% non co2 emission energy or france with 75% nuclear energy and 15% renewble energy 90% non co2 emission energy). While germany got only 40-50% renewble energy while 50-60% releases co2 primarly from coal, oil and natrual gas. The EDF has already shown how you can go towards net zero it is just that the rest of the world does not care about climate change and only likes to talk about how they care rather then actually do something about it. The results speaks for themself.

True, but without German involvement, Airbus could not compete with Boeing, because many British aircrafts were not successful before, France produced only three - Caravelle and Mercure and Concorde with the British. Caravelle had a British front part and engines and Mecure a lot of parts from other European countries, but was on market unlike the Caravelle very unsuccessful. Only the later Germany presence in the group led to success finally.

True, Aerospatiale was at the start and the headquarters is Toulouse, but some aircraft are produced in the factory in Hamburg. Overall, Airbus is European, but with a French charm.
