17:55 Here's the history between Baelish, Catelyn and Lysa. Petyr Baelish was a poor common boy who was given the privilege of being Fostered with the Tullys. He grew up with Lysa and Catelyn, they ran together and played kissing games and told secrets. Catelyn saw Baelish strictly as a brother. Baelish LOVED Catelyn. Lysa was madly in love with Petyr. After the duel, Petyr was very sick, while he was healing and on milk of the poppy Lysa snuck in his room and gave him her virginity. Baelish thought it was Catelyn!!! Lysa became pregnant but her father forced an ab0rtion on her. Because Lysa was tainted she was basically forced to marry Jon Arryn (who was older than Hoster Tully, Lysa's father), because "no other man would want her." People have said as much in other comments and I've said it before, but... Cersei isn't Tywin, she isn't even close. She talks a good talk and genuinely believes she's a player but she's pretty much the embodiment of what you find out House Lannister is in this episode- broke, and trying to stop anyone from realising it. Cersei CAN be smart, but she all too often chooses not to be. She forms a dislike of someone for reasons that have nothing to do with politics or pragmatism and then enacts schemes to bring them down regardless of how much it might cost her or whether bringing them down is a good idea. She can't let go of a grudge and she never compromises- and that's what stops her from being Tywin.

My favorite thing here is when Jojen is talking to Karl who is about to force Meera. When he says he saw him die tonight, then finishes with "I saw the snow fall and bury your bones." RIGHT THEN Jon SNOW rolls in. Love it.

Four things: 1. I think Baelish went down on Lysa(which is another level of eww lol) 2. A big reason why Jon was losing that fight(other than the other guy being good) is because it was a close quarter fight and swords are not good to fight when there's little room to fight. 3. If we think about it, Jaime pushed Bran, Locke cut Jaime's hand and then Bran who was inside Hodor broke Locke''s neck. I always thought it was a nice connection. Almost like Bran was forgiving Jaime. 4. Aegon did conquer the Eyrie. The Eyrie was impossible to take. But Aegon and his sisters had dragons so could fly right at the top. Aegon sent his sister Visneya in and at the time there was a little boy that was Lord there(similar to now with Robin). He agreed to surrender everything in exchange to have a ride on Visneya's dragon! And so all went well. I always thought it was a nice story.

You’re right about Bran’s story - it’s SO interesting, especially in the books. Jojen has special powers, or “green dreams”. That far north, the old gods rule and are very much alive. I assume his powers are stronger there. In the books they really talk about the different religions, traditions, and the history of each one. Very strange occurrences north of the Wall especially, like wargs, giants, etc. Not to mention the supernatural goings on with the white walkers and the wights.

I think the fire represented his life, only he could see it.

I love how, while everybody enthusiastically exclaims "Long may he reign!", Tywin just says it in a calm but storng voice. He's always such a badass! And biggest congratulations on your son!

Locke was sent by Roose Bolton to go and find Bran when Theon (Reek) admitted he never killed the boys. Theon also suggested that they'd probably head to the wall to meet up with Jon. so you're exactly right, there are no dogs in the shed, it's where Bran is and Locke doesn't want Jon to know.

Jojen's hand wasn't actually on fire. It was just a visual representation of him seeing his visions. Probably wasn't the best way to show it, because it did confuse many viewers.

You will see it in the history & lore. Now you see it was LF & Lysa that started the war between the Starks & the Lannisters!! & why Lysa wouldn’t help her sister Cat or her brother Edmure!! & why she’s kept the knights of the Vale out of the war! LF got her wrapped around his little finger! 🤣 & yes Lysa is doing all this cause she’s madly in love with LF & will do whatever he says if they can be together. Cersei just has Tywin’s arrogance & rage & power she’s not that smart. Tyrion is definitely the most like Tywin out of his kids he has the cunning mind like his father he’s just kind which is why he stands out. Lysa crazy af I can’t stand her with the way she betrayed her family! Poor sansa she can’t catch a mf break! Yesss Jon & them avenging lord commander Mormont was everything!! when baelish showed his love for cat and challenged brandon to a duel, we know that brandon sliced him across his torso so badly it is amazing he didn't die. lysa (little sis of cat) had been jealous of baelish's attachment to cat. so she nursed him back to health. while doing so they ended up having sex when she was very very young. if i remember correctly, he called cat's name during the lovemaking. then lysa got pregnant and her father made her drink tansy tea, which results in an abortion. after that he immediately married her to the then fifty year old Jon arryn. she had a number of miscarriages and finally had a son. which some believe is baelish's kid. maybe. in the books the son has some epileptic fits periodically making us wonder if baelish is slowly poisoning him to death. it's all left as a mystery.

The Eyrie never fell in battle because they surrendered to Aegon, their strength comes from the mountain passes that force larger armies to fight with a smaller percentage of their full strength Leonidas vs the Persians style. Visenya Targaryen had the little lord of the Vale who was just a little boy give her his kingdom for a ride on her dragon. It doubled as a threat to the boys mother who watched on knowing Visenya could throw the child off the dragon at any moment and that the mountains wouldn't help them against three dragons after what happened at the Field of Fire.
