This video made me cry as a hardcore football fan. That man spent part of his life supporting his team and wishing that one day they will be champions again. He can't even believe it, I can feel his happiness. Its a wonderful video.
Superb mate -- I'm 52 and have been enduring Man Utd's success over us for far too long. Still enjoying the day of our memorable title win even now. I've got my Champions 12 City shirt through the post and I've been parading it around Bangkok where I work for the last month. Like its been said by many other City Fans -- a once in a lifetime event and so sweet a victory!!!
I know how he felt, I’ve supported City for 50 years so I’ve had all the ups and downs. I live in Cornwall now but I was lucky enough to get 2 tickets for my twin boys for the QPR match. I don’t think they’ve had that many emotions in one afternoon but it was well worth it in the end.
Felt the same way mate. Was an amazing feeling. Felt the exact same at 2-1 but that's the sign of Champions and long may the Blue Moon keep rising and taking over.
Beautiful clip this! Shows all the excitment, ups, downs and heart felt passion we feel following our teams. I love this guys emotions, this is exactly and totally how it feels. I follow Leeds away, so I'm used to the downs but we share the love and dreams for our teams. Blue moon to you Sir
As a fellow lifelong blue this sent a shiver down my spine as I know how much it means to us all! I still can't believe it though, City the champions of England! CTID
This is mild compared to me...i ran out of the house screaming, knocked my mrs flying ran back, shouting and screaming, crying..maddest emotions ive ever felt...bar my mrs and kids...best day ever...
Brilliant video and nice to see some positive comments from other football fans. Lived all them emotions the same as you, still makes me smile and still can't believe it.
No city fan will ever forget this day. I'll be borring my grand children with "the day we won the league" story. Do you know what... even my red friends now kind of love it to, they know how much it ment to me and to Manchester. The parade day was so amazing as well, seeing old men crying with joy and little lads just screaming, all the town centre full of happy people nearly quater of a million people just being happy together. Manchester city, bloody hell.
Well there are at least 3 of us! What a fantastic day, what a beautiful song and a great video. That goal still makes the hair on the back of my neck standup!
I was in work and told all the staff to "do one". When we scored I went nuts. The table in the restaurant came onto the front lawn and joined in. Happy bleedin days💙
I'm a United fan, and as painful as this memory was to me, this video made me smile. It's great to see a real fan who has stuck by his team for decades enjoy the pure ecstasy of winning the league in such dramatic fashion. Fuckin' hate City, but fair play.
I was there that day, I have never in my life felt so down when we went 1-2 down, it was heart breaking, loads of things were going through my head, work on Monday morning! can Sunderland pull off a miracle? Should I move home? How many pints before I'm so plastered I'd forget who I am and what's just happened?.... Even when Edin Dzeko scored off that corner I just knew it was too late to actually change anything......... Then???? Apart from my wife and kids, the most beautiful thing to happen in my life... AGUEROOOO... Yes, I know how this guy felt, all we blues know how he felt, "typical City" was no more.... We'd broken our 40 year jinx!!!! Heaven!😁
Quality mate, absolute quality. I've been trawling the internet looking for the policeman in the South Stand bouncing up and down when Sergio scored...but fortunately haven't found it yet. Just as well as it was me!
As much as I hate Man City I still have respect to proper fans and I salute to this guy ;) It's nice to see there are still fans who live for their club and will go with it trough good and bad... I don't care if United drops into deeps like Liverpool did and doesn't win anything for another 20 years... I will allways support it and I know I will be as happy as this guy when United will be the champion again (if I'm honest I was crying of happines everytime we won the league so I can't imagine how it would be if we'd won it after 10 years or even more... I'd die of oversode I think xD)
Not a fake (although a couple of accusations of it being fake) - you can tell I actually missed the first reaction to the Dzeko goal (it was a secondary reaction). You can also hear the TV in the background on some of the footage... Glad you enjoyed
Was that Ella singing Blue Moon or Judy Garland? It`s a lovely version and i tend to think it was Ella.....by the way I`ve supported City for 62 years.......so have seen it all.Where City are concerned nothing surprises me any more. This was a marvellous moment.
A very poignant vid. This is the sort of pleasure which is not just simply joyous but overwhelming. It comes with being used to failure & ridicule. CTID
Not everyone can afford to go to the games, or has the time to do so. We've supported city all our lives in our family, but only ever had a season ticket for the 2008/2009 season. If you judge a fan by whether he goes to the stadium weekly, then surely United fans are only 70,000 max in number, not the 660 million United claim.
It's good to know I'm not the only one who for 50 years shed bucketloads of tears and lost hair etc supporting this stupid football club. Tell me it's not a dream........
