I have to clarify based on some of the negative comments below. My wife and mother-in-law were so nervous they couldn't sit still. They HAD to go upstairs and do something while the game was on... They followed the match upstairs - WHILE they tried to keep busy and not get too upset about it what seemed like an impossible situation. Fortunately it was our day to shine!
det1992 They weren’t the only ones who were nervous. I managed to get 2 tickets for the match for my twin boys, they went through every emotion possible that day. They had a meal there and met Colin Bell and Joe Corrigan. My boys were still drinking champagne for at least a hour after the match, all bought by a Scottish couple. What a day !
That hug between mother and daughter. Those tears of joy. "We've done it". 44 years, still fans. That's football, right there. That's why I love this sport. My team is 108 years old, never won a thing and thousands and thousands of fans fill the stadium every weekend.
I like the reaction of disbelief from the grandma. She is probably the only one in that household that witnessed Manchester City's last championship before this. I also liked grandma's reaction after QPR scored their second goal...she left the room in disgust, with parting words..."that's it....can't even beat 10 men".
9 years on and I've just watched this with tears streaming down my face. Only true City fans can understand what that meant to us. It's an emotional rollercoaster watching City, but it was so worth the wait.
Coventry fan here, I still watch this from time to time to remind me of how epic football can still be, sometimes. An unforgettable day, also nice to see Ferguson's purple face all sore and deflated.
Every time i can watch this video, i can say i almost cry, mancyty was not my club yet but i share your happiness. Congrats from Mexico City new mancity new fan
lo mas hermoso del futbol, amor fortaleza coraje orgullo pasion sentimiento y lagrimas, eso es futbol, es un video para la historia mundial. Algo inexplicable que trasmite el futbol. MANCHESTER CITY CONGRATULACIONES
Just love this. So like me. I was sat at home in Croydon when it happened watching with my wife, son and daughter. My son was kicking the furniture in a sulk at 1-2 and walked out. I stuck with it in my cloud of misery. Then ... AGUEEERRRROOOOOOOOO! The room, the house just wasn't big enough. I charged out of the house, City shirt over my head, and ran up the road screaming, my son joining me. My first game was at Maine Road back in 1968, v QPR ironically enough. We won 3-1 then Lee, Young and Bowyer. I have never forgotten that first game and I certainly never forget the Aguero moment! Thank you for this!
Great video, hadnt seen it until today. I could feel your pain and have a tear in my eye just watching your family at the end. I was in the North Stand that day and had a feeling we might still do it. The scenes in the ground will live with me forever. Up the Blues!
I have watched many fan videos since that wonderful day in May and I have to say this is my absolute favourite. Rather than show your wife and mother in law in a negative way I think it shows how much they have suffered over the years and the comment of 'ten men' as they left the room was priceless. Typical city. Thanks for sharing this you have made my day!!!
As a Aston Villa who had followed City for a few years when they were taken over by the money spinners I had invested my heart and soul into them winning the title. Ups,downs and near misses...but this game took me to a place nothing else could...the joy,the concern, the despair, the anger then just as the clock ticked down the wave of emotion when Aguero scored....my favourite football moment ever..
I'm an American supporter of City. I've supported City since they came up to the Premiereship in 02. To see us finally win league... it's amazing, but watching the lot of you who have been with this team your whole lives warms my heart. I stuck with them through mid-table and relegation battles, and now we're champions. Now I'm called a glory hunter. Lol.
I was there that day. I cannot tell you how depressed we all were at 2-1 down. Even when it got to 2-2, never in a million years did any of us think we would win it (in fact we were all hoping someone would scream SUNDERLAND HAVE EQUALIZED). I don't remember much after Sergio's goal went in (or for the next 24 hours quite frankly) but what a day.
Despite what team you support. It is always beautiful to see a family together, supporting, in good times and in bad. My mom and I always watched our local team's away games together in Juárez, México because I was always at the stands on our home games. Watching your clip sure makes me miss those days with her now that I live in the states. I'm a Chelsea supporter, but it was very exciting to see this match. Cheers.
UNO DE LOS SENTIMIENTOS MAS HERMOSOS EN EL FÚTBOL ES VER A TU EQUIPO SER CAMPEÓN Y MAS CUNADO EL MARCADOR ADVERSO ........IIIIIIIIIIIII FELICIDADES AL M.CYTY Y A ESTA GRAN FAMILIA QUE LO VIVIO AL MAXIMO
Amazing !! Born in Manchester went to the game and took my 5yr old daughter so she witnessed history in the making ! I collapsed when aguero scored so mich emotion and relief i couldnt handle it , then i sat up and held my girl and told her how much i loved her ! History in the making we will remember this forever!! This video brought a tear to my eye ... Funny how the women left the room expecting thunder haha then you could see the joy and happiness in the voices o the family !! Amazing !!

Tuve la dicha de ver ese partido y suba a chorros, cuando el Kun anota me fuí de este mundo y pare llorando, que emoción la que tuve con ese partido, nunca he visto otro igual.
Wow - so if you move from England to the US you are supposed to switch from Manchester City to NY Redbulls? or worse yet, switch to American Football? Give me a break. Once a blue always a blue - REGARDLESS of where you live!
very emotion his video .. fantastic sport that is football! Manchester fantastic city! The same sense in 1992, after a long time Boca Juniors titles if I win the championship, my team. fantastic final championship
Great Family Showing their love and Support.!!!!!! Love it!!! 44 years is a long journey Nosy Neighbors. But Remember Guys Manchester is always RED. lol
This always happens to me! I start watching with my family but when Arsenal go a goal down! I leave the room and cannot bare the sight of any person! I go and watch on my own and shout as loud as possible on my own and sometimes cry!
