I have felt the same way I built my 500 hp kit one piece at a time, and bought different parts . First I bought the charge pipe, 1 step colder plugs, dci’s and jb4. Fuel pressure kept dropping so I bought the stage 2 bucket less fuel pump. Then I had some maintenance issues, fixed those. Then I got the BEF, I did notice a difference on the pump tune, but it wasn’t much. Then I put in the e85 tune and noticed a big difference, I bet it’s at least 30hp, I then added the silicone inlets. Now I am seeing intake temps in the 130+ range I have seen 160 once. So I just ordered a intercooler, hut have not installed it yet. My car last year ran a 12.5 @ 110mph, my brothers mustang hit a similar time with 450 hp, so I think my car makes about 390 wheel. With the intercooler it may make 410 ish. Burger told me that it won’t make 500 unless you have catless down pipes, inlets and a re running the race tune in the jb4 and in the bef. Fuel it told me that you can’t hit 500 without water meth or manifold injection and a stage 3 pump.
In order to make 500 hp you need downpipes. Also yes you need an e30 blend since that is all the hpfp can deal with without port injection. I have what you have accept 19t turbos and a custom tune from wedge +the 7.5 inch intercooler. I did an 8.41 60-130 with a dragy. My car is also manual
my fuel rail pressure is at 1300 psi and my tuner says higher e content would be too much for the n54 hpfp to handle at around 22 psi of boost@@TheTruelakersfan
@@swagfest2k144if you have stock turbos you are hitting the limit. 22 psi is a lot to handle for stock. 20-22 is pushing it. And anything over e30 mix you need to upgrade you fuel pump to handle it .
Nice vid man, I was thinking there is no way you’re making over 400 without catless downpipes?! I have basically same mods except the fuel pump upgrade, MHD says stage1+ makes 390hp with these mods. Idk where they got 500 from. installing my decats soon but even than I recon it will only make just around 400
I always k ew the kit didn’t do 500 from nour video on it. But still cool you did the kit. When I first got my n54. I drooled over that kit. But soon my turbo blew. Replaced with oem turbos. And now fbo. 7in cts fmic ,vrsf downpipes , bms chargepipe with bov adapter & eBay bov. Vargas inlets. Afe airscoops. Dinan ignition coils Bilstein b14 suspension kit. Waiting on my mhd adapter to go straight to stage 2+. Cool e90 tho bro.
@@bmw_for_life8902 this is true! dang only 10K at 20psi? I have been running my stock turbos at 20psi for more than 20K miles and they have 70k miles on them.
I love my 09 335i manual FOB on e85 blend map v5 was the best map in my opinion very aggressive my stock turbos are pushing 19-20psi 😅 I been running that for about a 2 years now I don’t beat on my car just highway pulls no digs 😅
@@02sixty71 sheesh man, 500 whp is a stretch with the mods they give u cuz you’d need at least inlets/outlets, stage 3 hpfp, and e85 too. also, does the x-drive put down less power even with x delete? or does it put down the same as normal rear wheel drive?
Yea bmw made them better since the early e90 n54’s. Stock vs stock b58 has more power already from factory with basically everything upgraded better injectors and a single turbo. Much easier to gain power with the same mods on a n54
