Sentry with Nitro Cell + Proximity Alarm is obviously more flashy and fantastical so it makes sense it's the primary showcase in this video, but the underrated combo of Bulletproof Camera + Observation Blocker, Deployable Shield + Observation Blocker or Deployable Shield + Observation Blocker are all nasty combos for just one operator. Not only that Barbed Wire + Proximity Alarm let's you lock down a lot of site, Impact Grenade + Nitro Cell let's you be a shield's worst nightmare and Deployable Shield + Nitro Cell allows you to be a constant worry just around the corner. And as you mentioned in previous videos, there operators can't really be nerfed without completely reworking them (which to be fair, that would probably require more effort than Ubisoft put in to making these characters in the first place) If Ubisoft still wanted to make a very basic operator that isn't broken but doesn't require any extra elements, just give the attacker the choice of either Bulletproof Camera or Observation Blocker, and give the defender the option of either Breaching Charge or Smoke Grenade. Now see, that would actually be really cool without being too Overpowered.
Ooh recruit looks like a fun operator. maybe I'll come back to the game. To me doesn't look worse the a full kapkan trap on a door that you didn't check
Not that broken in my opinion. at 7:44 you see that its just a pre place nitro. Your prox and your teammate both call it out within milliseconds. everyone is just upsettie spaghetti that solo players get to have some fun don't have to worry about bad callouts.
I am gonna be completely honest with you all: I love the recruits as they are now. I like playing them and i even like playing against them. But i still miss our good old Recruit. This wasnt a rework, it was a replacement
Btw concerning the balancing of the recuits: Ubi could just try splitting the gadgets of both recruits into "placable" and "throwable". So for Striker it would be Gadget 1: Claymore/Hardbreach/Softbreach Gadget 2: Nade/Flash/Smoke/EMP And for Sentry: Gadget 1: Shield/Cam/Wire/Firewall Gadget 2: C4/Impacts/Proxies Voila, the two 'broken' setups of Flash+Nades and C4+Proxies are gone, but we still would get good gadget combos. And while we are at it, more weapons. Where is me Striker Ballistic Shield and my Sentry DMR? Helloooooo? TTS, who?
That's just old recruit tho. The idea was to remove that limit. Also ubisoft endorsed the proxy and c4 combo in the panel themselves, I don't know what were they thinking.
You guys talk about how busted this is but the only ones I ever see doing the Nitro+Proximity cheese is youtubers. 40 hours into the new season and not once have I seen this in game.
