its like the worst boss run in the entire game and the boss is just a pathetic copy/paste setup thats in the same goddamn dlc lol...BUT ITS TWO AT ONCE AAAAA
I'm actually ashamed to say that the boss of this area took me the most deaths than every other boss i faced in the entire series. It took me around 30 deaths and i felt extremely relieved when i finished them off and finally left frigid outskirts. I'm not gud enough at Dark Souls but at least i don't complain or blame the game.
@@Boots43096 The only bright side of the DLC are some of the bosses - Fume Knight, SInh, Sir Alonne, Elana and Ivory King, visuals of the third DLC is nice too, but rest is just plain awful
I can't fucking believe I'm saying this, but I actually agree with him on the Snowy area, to a point. That place is actual garbage, but once you figure it out it's manageable.
@@sgtpepper91 Or if it's your first time playing and you don't know what you're doing or where to go. But either way, it's trash, man. And so is the boss fight. It's just a copy of the first boss in the DLC, but you fight two of them instead of one. It's actual trash lol.
One time I agree with Phil. Frigid Outskirts is the most bullshit area conceived by From Software, even with 2 phantoms it's annoying as shit. I wouldn't call devs stupid for that though.
The area's concept is pretty interesting. A massive area where you're attacked by enemies that attack relentlessly under cover of blizzard. Shame it's always the same bullshit enemies. Add a bonfire before the boss, and change the enemies, and it could actually be very interesting
@@rhysofsneezingdragon1758I think Iron Passage would've been so much better if those faith mages never existed or they didn't have that stupid spell that makes you fat roll.
god that lud and zallen part is painful. "i'm not going to use my invincibility button, i'm going to try to strafe a projectile attack i KNOW has tracking"
He has an excuse for everything. He's that guy that claims he can FIGHT and then gets his ads kicked by someone, then afterwords makes excuses. Oh he cheated because he stepped on my toe, or it wasn't fair I wasn't wearing my fighting socks. What an utter lack of personal responsibility.
I love how he's complaining about his weapon being too slow when fighting against the first boss, yet he's literally only using the R2 attack (slow, but powerful attack)...
Frigid Outskirts is a terrible zone, and I suspect is designed for co-op. I’ve beat DaS2 around 10 times, and I skip it. I get ring of the living and never step foot in it again.
During my stream I basically gave up on trying to solo the run up, summoned a few NPCs, and then was gonna try and kick them out but turns out you have to specifically select the phantoms you want out and so I just kept them in. Not proud, but also that zone is toxic bruh
Whoever told him to use that twinblade is a hero. It's a great weapon but you have to be mindful of the timing and stamina usage. Both things Phil has no patience for. They also have a nasty hit box bug in this game where sometimes the first strike doesn't connect. He didn't even use the twinblade to stagger multiple enemies.
Weapon still has the best raw dps in the entire game, he got away pretty easily with the other DLC bosses because of that weapon alone. He probably looked up the best weapons in the game and a build for it.
17:50 "he helps you" I don't know if these people are trying to troll on RU-vid AFTER he already played that part or actually didn't play the game and think they are right. That guy pretends to be friendly. If you can target something then it's safe to assume it's an enemy. There might be one, maybe two exeptions (bug in Glutch, maybe something else) What the fuck are "gollums"? LotR? Those are golems.
He didn't dodge the Homing Soulmass once in this whole game. Not ONCE :'). I love this playthrough, again, thanks for uploading it. Gonna save it this time to be sure.
Oh I'll never blame From Software. In fact I love how they did their changes and make these games harder so you can adapt and even learn from your mistakes. Trial and errors man. The Souls series and bloodborne are the best games I've ever played and 5 of my favorite games from the company.
I was totally expecting him to bash his head against the invisible tiger boss for 4 hours like he seems to have done for every obvious "you can't fight this yet" boss. I guess maybe the chat told him?
I cant blame him we all move on at some time. Ill never forget how he made the second ever TIHYDP next to Evilaj2010's MGS 2. They are an inspiration to everyone who made TIHYDP.
21:30 does this guy have fucking ears? Or peripheral vision? Nope. Must be the only fucking person in history who's dodges fail 98% of the time in DS too - I'm not one of the people who thinks the controls are perfect but seriously, they work 99.9% of the time.
Phil’s character is so massively overleveled. It’s so sad. There’s no way i beat Aava first try with a character whos fit for the level, and he died with such an op character
No idea, I didn't even know how infamous the guy was back then, just thought he was some unknown playing dark souls, little did I know I was commenting on a living meme.
I have been making a DS3 video for a long time now, but I'm often away from my desktop on vacations, and when I am on my pc I like to play quite a few games lol, the editing itself takes alot more time than it used to, I will finish it eventually but not anytime soon.
It's funny in the first few minutes Phil is still bitching that they nerfed his faith build yet he's oblivious that it actually made him a better melee player.
This one is difficult. DSP sucks ass, but so does this game. So it's hard to say that DSP is completely at fault, yet he still sucks so bad that it is his fault like 90% of the times he dies.
Dude has no fucking depth perception. He just stands there and takes jab attacks every time and comes no where close with his own attacks. He also has no grasp of how dodging works. You can't just dodge at the start of an attack, you gotta time that shit. I know I'm staying the obvious but it's so damn annoying!
I know this is a year old but I got to 201 on ng after beating every boss DLC included. Didnt do farming (until I used bonfire ascetics to fight sinh over and over again which effectively got me like 20 more levels), DS2s leveling just seems wack. Exploring everything you can just gives you too many souls and it's really cheap to level up
It takes so many less souls to level up. Getting to level 150 takes 1.5 million souls. About half what it takes in 1 or 3. Makes it really nice if you wanna try out a new build.
