I am so blessed. My 6 Yr old daughter asked me, "Mommy do you and Daddy ever fight?" The question made us feel so proud of ourselves and to keep going by God's grace in love and friendship🙏♥️
This is the question i asked my parents when i was 16, ay school my teacher said all parents fight and it's normal for parents to fight i raised my hand in class and I said my parents do not fight, they made a mockery of me in class and i was so hurt, i went back home and asked my dad whether him and mom ever fight, he said we do have disagreements but we sort them out when we've dropped u off at school and we do it with love always! I held on to that and i swore to self that I'll replicate such a home for my children, in Jesus Name!
How to know you are ready 1) Your perspective. What you expect is what you accept. You lay the foundation of your marriage from your perspective. My marriage will be sweet. My husband will receive favor because he'll find his good thing 🙏. Make sure your normal is normal. What is your perspective Talk dont sulk when u have an issue. Your perspective should be formed from biblical standards 2) what is your purpose. You need a purpose for life before you pick a partner for life. Knowing your purpose will help you to find a partner that aligns with your purpose. 3) Knowing the qualities you are looking for. He that finds a wife finds a good thing. Prov 18:22, prov 19:24. God will lead you in the place of value and in the place of service to meet your spouse. God wont lead tou to John, He will lead you to join 🙏 😂. Only God knows your real spec 😂. Separate your needs from your wants. He must speak in tongues oh 😅. When waiting, do what waiters do, serve.
As quite often, many things that are said in this message are good, but there are important points of correction and I will focus on one. Nothing guarantees that God will reveal the life purpose of a believer before marriage. So it's not good to impose that believers should find their life purposes before marriage. I have seen churches were they impose that and they are stumbling block to many young people who lie and make up a fake life purpose because they want to get into marriage. Many women even claim hypocritically that they are waiting for a purpose partner, and yet they are waiting for a wealthy or financially stable man. Take for instance Abraham and Sarah. They got married before God called them and revealed them their life purposes and changed their names to be aligned to their lives purposes. That's a confirmation that God doesn't always reveal life purpose before marriage. And more even many of us are not more devoted than Abraham was. He was the friend of God. So not knowing life purpose shouldn't keep young people from marrying young. I believe that if two children of God try to be together and God hasn't planned them to marry each other, God will peacefully orchestrate things to not make their marriage possible. Because we cannot miss who God has planned for us to get married. God controls what we can't control. Remember Jonah who even though he was disobedient tried to run away from God's will but God orchestrated circumstances to bring him back in his will. How much more when we are obedient. Today unfortunately because of this wrong teaching that originated in the US, there is a generation of women who don't want to get married young and serve the man with their beauties; they claim they are waiting for their purpose partner. We never see the apostles recommend such things. And finally when they depreciate physically, they get in marriage and cannot bring enough natural favors that God placed in their bodies to pleased their husbands; marriage is bitter. This teaching is deadly; it has created a lot of hypocrisy and problems in relationships. It has made many women hypergamous. They hide behind purpose partner to promote hypergamy; looking for a man romantically, spiritually, professionally ideal for the least. Another godly couple; perhaps the best couple in the whole scriptures that got married without knowing their life purposes was Joseph and Mary. Assuming that their life purpose was the most important thing they had to do: raise the child Jesus; they didn't know it until after they were engaged. When God started to reveal their life purposes through the angel, they were surprised and they almost got separated. That means they didn't know their life purposes before being engaged. This teaching has created a generation of young religious people fornicators or who live in personal sexual sins for the least (sexual sins are abounding more than ever even among religious people). Because young people are kept starving sexually out of marriage and the temptation to compromise is too high that only very very few escape sexual sins (including sexual thoughts). This teaching has destroyed black communities starting in America. Men are starved sexually by wicked black American women who claim to wait for their Boaz, their purpose partner, their kingdom partner, etc... And their beauties end up being for entertaining people on social networks. Relationships are a great mess in black America because of such evil teachings. Beware! don't follow their examples. Please show me even where one apostle teach young people to find their purpose or calling before finding life partner? I don't know anywhere apostles teach such things. But I know many places apostles encourage young people to marry young lest they fall into sexual temptations. Because marriage was given to help people live a discipline godly life for children of God. And we need that help even before we find our life purpose. We cannot let young people starve sexually and tell them to wait their purpose partner. Young people should rather try to discover anyone GOD HAS EMPOWERED TO GIVE THEM MARITAL HELP AMONG BELIEVERS. And if God has ordained their union HE will allow it to happen. If he hasn't ordained it, HE will not allow it to happen. That doesn't mean there will be a problem. Wrong teachings of this sort are generally fully based on the old testament. You have o know that not everything in the old testament is aligned with the new covenant. So you always have to examine the old testament through the lenses of the new testament. There was not even a church in the old testament; so believers didn't have the responsibility to love and help each other as Jesus loved us. They didn't have the holy spirit to help them; they practiced dowry. Look for instance how Jacob worked like a slave to get married to his wives. Many old testament practices were not perfected aligned with the new. So be careful when yo use old testament stories to derive marital principles. It's also because of this wrong teaching that people want to divorce when they are going through some issues in their marriage. Because they think that they haven't found their purpose partner and they have made a bad choice. That's why apostle Paul recommends somewhere that single widow women (I generalize to every believer) is free to marry who they wish in the Lord. Because he knows that God's plan will still be fulfilled in their lives and they cannot miss their purpose partners even while trying to marry who they wish in the Lord.
Every human being whether male or female was created, first of all, for an individual purpose that serves the Lord. It's important we put that purpose of serving God or doing His will first before anything else. So when one becomes aware of themselves, it's important to know what the will of God is concerning their life...(Do not be unwise but understanding what the will of God is, Ephesians 5:17). As we walk and grow in that path that God has shown us, (I have said grow because understanding purpose can be a journey), he begins to lead us to make important decisions that helps or aligns with that purpose. So the understanding of what we are called to do, our assignment as given by God, and his purpose for our lives will then determine our decisions including marital choice. No matter how well intentioned we are, if we put two people whose purposes do not align, the marriage might not work. Two cannot work together except they be agreed.. (Amos 3:3). So the understanding of ones purpose is important, we don't have to get the full picture at once or immediately but whatever God has shown us should be enough to guide our path in making the choices we have to make going forward in life. The problem is, a lot of people discover their purpose late because the subject is not preached to them or taken seriously. They want to do everything and then come back to purpose. It should be in this order, find or understand purpose and from there, make important life decisions. May God help us all.

The fact that someone wants to find his/her purpose doesn't mean that God will absolutely reveal that to the person before his/her marriage. How do you explain that even Abram and Sarai didn't know their life purposes before they got married. But God who has supreme control directed them to each other. God is supreme. We have to stop worrying about things we cannot control and let him direct us in our purpose. The need for marriage might come much earlier before God reveal our life purpose clearly to us or before we are mature enough to engage in it. And like I said in the comment, if you consider someone that God hasn't ordained for you, he is not going to allow the marriage to happen. Because as the scriptures say, we are his workmanship created unto good works prepared in advance. And I believe marriage is part of those good works. And if the marriage of children of God is prepared in advance, they cannot miss it. If they try to consider someone that God hasn't ordained for them, God will not allow it to work. God knows even our places of residence before we are born; I believe he knows even our life partner before we are born. So the fear of missing our life partner is not a good fear; it's not justified by scriptures. It comes form not being able to believe in the supremacy of God' plan. Study the life of Mary and Joseph for instance. God had ordained that Jesus be born in Bethlehem. Around the time Jesus was about to be born, Mary and Joseph didn't even try to fulfil that prophecy. But God orchestrated a sequence of unusual events that led to Jesus being born in Bethlehem. It was God's hand controlling circumstances to implement what he had ordained about the birth of Jesus. Likewise, God's hand works to implement our marriage as he has ordained; whether we know our purpose or we are ignorant about it like Mary and Joseph were about Jesus birth place. Sincerely, young Christians shouldn't stay there burning sexually and waiting for life purpose, while they can consider someone and commit their choice to the Lord and if it's the Lord plan for them he will establish it. That's why the apostle tells us that it's better to marry than to burn. If your recommendation was true, he was going to say that it's better to wait for life purpose while burning than to marry without knowing life purpose.
Like you said, if it's not the will of God, he will prevent the marriage from happening...Maybe those ladies who are waiting for a kingdom partner or purpose partner have been hindered by God from going ahead with some of the relationships that have come their way, because as soon as they find someone they are attracted to or asking their hand in marriage, they are free to marry that person but be sure God will interrupt it if it's not His will for them? So let's excuse some of these women if their bodies and beauty become less attractive. They really wanted to marry whoever they wished early but God did not let it work and as such have to wait. So people don't say they are just waiting and wasting, they now say, they are waiting for a purpose partner. Let's remember, marriage is not compulsory or a requirement to make heaven, if it becomes too complex, Paul says one can decide to be celebate and live all their life in service to God.
I agree completely. But Christian’s are being gaslighted now a days. We’re being told our expectations are unrealistic/rigid/antiquated. Sometimes even our unwillingness to do things the way the world is doing it is interpreted as some form of relational inability. Messages like this are important because it helps affirm that our beliefs are not out of touch- but actually produce good fruit
Stand your ground. Do not be discouraged, the Lord is your strength and He will give you the man who will have the same or even better purity standards than you. God will honor your obedience.

I see marriage as a blessing of two different entities intentionally working together to create and show forth God's example of love. I believe in a marriage where Christ is the head, and when Christ leads everything falls in place.

Hmm. I feel the body of Christ is complete 'cos of the five fold ministries. And I think pastor K is saving people from HELL here on earth already as a preacher. The problems of every country today started with some families long agai with wrong perspective about life, so if you ask me, he is right on track preaching the right kind of gospel while we allow other men of God to also preach through the dimensions they've been engraced with.
If you listen well, he is doing just that. He is preaching about Jesus and good Christian living in marriage, which will lead anyone who pays attention and follows, to heaven.
