I JUST FOUND YOU TODAY! You are a bright light in a sometimes dark world. I’m in early 60s empty- nesters with hubby - have no family who bothers with us.
I miss my mom so much, but watching you made me feel like I'd been with her again, you are the American version of my lovely mom, and now I'm crying. Bless your heart, I hope you enjoyed your meal. X
Granny Pat, you are an angel. I am the last of my family line to make the old way recipes from generations past. You bring me such joy. Chit chat in your lovely kitchen takes me back to wonderful memories. Thank you truly.❤
This brought forth so many memories of my Grandmother teaching me to cook. She was just as calm and collected as you. She always said that a man that can cook, will make a wife very happy.
Hi Granny Pat! When you said something was “liable to fall”…you brought back memories of my own grandma using the word “liable” like that. I can almost smell that hamburger cooking on the stove! You are a precious lady!
Omg “ I have to tell ya, it wasn’t my idea I stole it” LOVE HER! I use to love going to my grandma‘s house, she would cook amazing meals, the best was her fried chicken. Unfortunately my mother didn’t get her talent, lol . There is something about the way grandmothers cook, I always associate it with comfort food. They were taught to use ingredients that might not be so healthy today, but that’s why the food tasted so amazing..
Dear Granny Pat, all of your wonderful videos have been such a blessing in my life. Thank you for sharing your delicious recipes with us that take me back to a simpler time in the kitchen with my grandmother who I dearly miss. God bless you sweetheart.❤️❤️🙏
I agree with you granny Pat. In the kitchen we blend, mix together, stir it up, whisk it, but we do not incorporate. Hahahaha... 🤭 Thanks for your channel and this recipe. When you started frying the patties I really imagined I smelled them. 😋 Yum!
Hi Granny Pat- my family is from Italy and a few things you said reminds me of how we make meatballs, sometimes we also use a combination of beef, pork, and veal in the mixture. Also, the secret to light meatballs is to wet some bread with water, squeeze out the excess water, and add it to the mixture. Many people use dried, canned breadcrumbs instead but that can make them heavy and tough. The other things we add to the meatball mixture are egg, fresh parsley, grated parmigiano cheese, finely minced garlic, and finely minced onion. Then you fry the meatballs in a little bit of oil, to get a nice, light crust all around and then drop them in your tomato sauce and let them simmer in there until you’re ready to add it to your pasta. I love your videos! I look forward to them every day. Carla in NJ. P.S. Last night I rewatched your Flossie and Mossie video- it’s one of my favorites!
