I make potato salad all the time, I feel the key to using raw onion is to put it in the food processor, and season ur potatoes while still warm, I also like a little tang so I add a splash of white vinegar and sugar
I always mix my wet and dry ingredients first, and then pour the mixture over my cooked potatoes and eggs. This prevents the potatoes from becoming mushy.
That looks good. My mother always made old fashioned southern potato salad any time we had Fish. Turnip Greens in vinegar, Northern Beans, home grown sliced Tomatoes, Cucumbers in vinegar, and Cornbread ( no sugar, my daddy always said no self respecting Southerner would ever put sugar in Cornbread that's cake.) This is exquisite dinning at its best!

I love potato salad but never make it myself. I don't like onions or celery in it either so I am definitely going to try this recipe. It looks so good!
Make your sauce first add a spoon of sour cream a spoon white vinegar a small amount of sugar too then pour the potatoes in the sauce bring together you will get a better result

Literally watched a vid of two women from different countries pronouncing the same words just to show how different it is. Was this getting at something to? I have never seen paprika put on potato salad before. My family does put pimentos in the salad which is essentially paprika. It does make it look pretty though. 😁
This is how I make mine also But sometimes I get the small red potatoes and leave the skin on and mix everything.. The russett potato skin has nutrients in it.
