As a coffee nerd, I have to say this is a great surface level explanation of pretty much everything about coffee in under 6 minutes.

I do want to know the history of coffee bean process, how did the idea come up. Cause this is a whole process. Wow.

It is one of those inventions where I ask myself; HOW did humanity ever came up with the idea to harvest a fruit, use the seeds, roast them and grind them into a powder, and then pour hot water over the grind to make a drink from it? Did they try this with apple seeds too for example? The idea of brewing tea might have had a helping hand with it I guess...?

Me who came here for understanding the chemistry of why coffee is acidic in nature? On roasting green coffee beans chlorogenic acids of green coffee beans disassociate into caffeic acid and Qunic acid which tastes bitter conclusion that generally acids tastes sour and this is an exception.

The amount of travel the bean takes on trucks then cargo ships which use the worst sludge to power, then trucks a few more times until it gets to your cup is staggering which is why I love when parakeets repeat to me their learned message that our lifestyles are destroying the planet. I always ask them since they demand sacrifices if they plan to give up their caffeine addiction as well their papaya/imported fruits in favour of local products (not to mention not buying new phones/gadgets that end up in toxic wastedumps) and no one is game. When someone drones on about changing lifestyles for the good of the planet, always ask them if they plan to give up their coffee.
