THERE IS A LOT OF WORK FOR US TO DO ON THIS ONE WITH SOME MAJOR ALTERATIONS TO DO.
IN THIS EPISODE WE DO SOME DEMOLITION, SHOW HOW AWFUL THE PREVIOUS WORK WAS.
FOR A NEW OPENING BETWEEN THE LOUNGE AND NEW KITCHN/DINER.
WE ALSO DO SOME REMEDIAL JOBS, BUILD A PILLAR FOR SOME STEELS AND INSTALL A VERY HEAVY 2.1M 6 X 4 CONCRETE LINTEL.
A VERY DUSTY BUT ENJOYABLE JOB.... ENJOY

For all who say "everyone stands around" it's amazing how much you guys get done. I know you probably would like to build nice long walls using new bricks but someone has to do the "shitty" work and I'm glad to see two proper builders doing it "right". The state of this house makes me realise how dangerous your job can be. Good luck with the hip job. Just think how Andy Murray runs around with his replacement. Great work again guys - attention to detail and 'going above and beyond' is common practice for you two, hope more builders watch and improve their own work practices, because the previous builders putting those lintels in should be ashamed. But then, that type of builder doesn't know the meaning of the word do they? Pleased to learn the hip op (not the music variety!) is imminent Steve - ditto my knee replacement scheduled for mid-August, can't wait to be pain free. Wish you both the best.

At least those lintels have some seating. In the past someone widened a doorway in a loadbearing wall in my house, but didn't put in a new lintel. When I took that door out it scared the crap out of me.

People don't see ALL you do..and most won't understand what needs to be done and how it can take longer than they realize... you 2 do very well and i can see your busy and each does what needs to be done...having worked many decades ( over 4 ) doing different trades i don't see an issue with your work... but as usual there are lots of critics ready to comment .... just ignore them as you know more than they ever will on what you do...👍

Good news about your hip Steve, just do as the staff tell you and you will be fine. Crappy building work, must have been the cowboy who just ripped off the bonus daughter. I’ve spent weeks there putting things right.
