@@polopauletta9984 First you have to understand that it is sports karate, second, it does not stop being a fight because the rules do not allow you to knock out the rival
@@Mraymankarate It is correct, there are many who are dedicated only to one area, but to compete in either area you have to know the basics of karate. Regarding the rules, traditional karate is clearly different from sports karate, sports karate focuses on taking care of the integrity of the competitors, that is why the sports name, you may like or not but I believe that sports karate also gives you things that the traditional one does not give you. Greetings, and thanks for watching! oss
@@P4NCH0 Definitely sport karate has its place and gives lots that traditional karate lacks.... People have some misunderstanding of what traditional karate id... Both complement /complete each other... Thanks
@@P4NCH0 #1 because it is not continues sparing but stop start stop start sparing. #2 thy are wasting energy jumping up and down whilst sparing . #3 there hands area to low . In conclusion imagine putting I expert MMA fighter or even I muay tai kickboxer in the ring against them thy wouldn't last 5 seconds
You have to understand that it is sports karate, therefore there are rules, as points are added you need ways to add those points, that is why you are constantly jumping, that gives you greater speed, power and explosion to make the attack. On the other hand # 3 there hands area to low (I don't understand what you mean by that). And finally, it cannot be compared to an MMA fighter who masters many martial arts since the combat system is very different and the rules of MMA are very different from those of sports karate, as I said before it is sports karate so it has rules, if you don't follow the rules there are penalties. So there are also certain things of ethics in sports, in sports karate you cannot knock out, it is because of what I said before, it is sports, it tries to preserve the integrity of all competitors, it simply marks the point although that does not mean that cannot be hit, believe it or not there have been knockouts in combat, other accidents and injuries.
In the title it says, "This is karate WKF", I practice shotokan, I practice both the competition (wkf) and the traditional part. It does not seem to me that it ruins karate, they are different regulations, one is sporting, so that it is more attractive for people who do not know karate and the other is the traditional one. greetings oss!
@@P4NCH0 Oh no, my style and yours are rivals where I'm from. In the old days, the two traditional sides would square off and have good randori sessions. I do Goju Ryu Karate
@@estellevanstaden5883 Really? Where am I from, people who compete in wkf compete in traditional championships but people who practice traditional do not compete in wkf, they say it is not karate. What I think is that they are different rules and forms, just that but to compete or practice either you need both. Thanks for watching!!
