I've watched about 200 reaction videos of this song and have not heard one single person say it was a racist song or a song they didn't agree with. So where is the media finding all these offended people against the song???? They aren't . They lie. Thanks for the reaction guys.
It don't matter what color you are. If you was raised, right this song to me makes me think back to being raised to know right from wrong.love this channel yall.
YOU MEAN , RAISED BY GRANDMA WITH THE BIG DIP OF LEVI GARRETT , A RAZOR STRAP , AND THE HOLY BIBLE WITH JESUS CHRIST IN FULL CONTROL , I GREW UP IN THE GHEETO , WITH GRANDMA IVY IN FULL CONTROL OF OUR BUTT'S !! 😵🔥😵🔥😵🔥😵🔥
I'm not gonna lie this song gets me Fired The HELL Up. Because it could not ring truer in Eastern By GOD Kentucky where we don't care what your color or beliefs are if you live here you family period.
We live in a sovereign Nation where we have the right to protect ourselves anytime, anywhere at any point. There's nothing anyone can say about it. Now they can get mad all day long if they so feel like it, but as long as I'm alive I have the right under this sovereign Nation to protect myself from anyone wanting to cause me harm. There's nothing they can do about that.
I am from a small town myself, where we still believe in God, Community, Faith, Our Country that a lot of families going back generations have fought and died for. We also believe in respecting our elders, common decency, and morals. If that makes me a small town hick , then I am proud to be one.
You are a person with respect for others and very importantly, it shows you respect yourself Thats where all decency and consideration to others is nurtured and birthed
Loved this reaction. I'm from a small town in Indiana. About 1,800 people. Graduated in a class of 6. I love to see more and more people promoting and valuing morality and decency. Things have just gone too far in promoting lude, rude, and self absorbed behavior. I'd be honored to see yall in my town. God Bless guys.
Our town was close to 100 but our school was huge and took enrollment from surrounding cities so our class was over 600. It was the 80s and kids had their gun racks on the rear window. We'd come out of school and a policeman would be our there comparing guns and finding out where they would go hunting. Was a completely different world back then. We were babysitting newborns at 12. Thing is all the parents knew and would watch us in the windows and stuff. New moms loved it - they could go grocery shopping and not have to worry about the kids. Wished we could go back to those times
Love you two and your honest opinions. Grew up in a small town , moved to a small town , moved back to the same small town I grew up in. Parents were parents to every child in the neighborhood. I was raised up right. Church God and country. Respect the flag and everyone. If it got back to my folks I was disrespectful oh they jerked a knot in my behind. You said yes sir, yes mam and acted like you had some sense. We need to get back to that.
We are from So. Cal and lived in Seattle up to 2019. We got our tails out of there and settled in beloved Oklahoma. Talk about the land of the free and good people!
Just hope you don't bring that west coast to the heartland. I live in Arizona. I see bumper stickers that say, "Don't California, my Arizona" which I totally agree with. I don't like seeing all the California license plates.
As opposed to those 'bad people' you left on the West Coast?🖕😆 Would it surprise you that Oklahoma has a higher crime rate than both the States you left, per capita? 🤣
1980 Compton, straight out of bootcamp San Dog. My friend Darryl invited me to spend the weekend at his mom's place in Compton where he grew up. I had no idea where it was or anything about the area. We meet up with some of his friends and head out for the night. As the night progressed, we were walking along one of the residential streets and came upon a young couple sitting in a car. Some of the guys started putting their faces up to the windows and rocking the car. The girl inside started screaming and next thing you know, all the lights on the porches came on, all the way down the street. Out walked men from each house armed with bats, chains and a few guns. I thought my life was over. Luckily Darryl defused the situation, apologized and we went on. Yeah, some towns don't play.
The message of this song seems to be resonating with a huge number of reasonable citizens. Maybe folks are starting to recognize they can stand up for themselves as well as others and that they are not alone. Whether it's an actual town, a neighborhood, a school or a place of worship, we all have a "small town" to protect and defend. Thank you so much for posting your reaction.
I'm a proud white Christian, the Muslim is my brother, the black man is my brother, been watching you for a couple of years now, love you both, support from Australia 🇦🇺 guy's. Love this song.
It's a shame you didn't get to react to the original video before it was edited by the Liberal snowflake media! I pray Jason wins his lawsuit against CMT, The View and Whoopi for defamation calling him a racist! Great reaction! Love from a Texas small town senior citizen
I'm so glad that everyone is coming together !!! This is what we kneed no matter what race you are no matter what God you pray to. This year gives me hope for the future.
The powers that be don't want us united. They can manage us better divided. They like it that way. But when we look into things on a deeper level, we realized we have more in common than not. Much love.
Jason Aldean should win a grammy for this tune but he wont! These are crazy times for real.I live in a big town NYC,but I was born with a small town mentality, many times I rode my bicycle down into a BLM riot to protect the cops, blocking the crowds from surrounding them many times, I never tolerated injustice and I am not alone! I have been following you two for years and love you guys!
No perfect justice Trump wins and invites Jason to play this song on White House front lawn!!!! Even invite people speaking up on sounds of freedom!!! This would be the perfect back hand slap to the liberals!!!!
I know! Black, White, Red, Anybody. I mean really, all you have to do is just replace "Try that in a small town" with "Try that in my neighborhood" or "Try that with my family" and that should help anybody understand the meaning of the song!!!
@@freespirit9981 lol liberals weren't against this song it was his own production company.Bad publicity sells!!...and he has taking Country Music in the direction in which others criticized other music genre's for!!
@@terarosen7909 The View didn't start anything and i doubt you watch The View.I'm sure they had something to say about it as they would any other hot topic due to the fact you are bringing up The View lol. The others i was referring to are the Country Music lovin folks who if this song was done by say a rapper with said video and lyrics and i'm sure a few F bombs would be condemning it!!
I am from a small town and the song is very true of a small town. It doesn’t matter your race or religion we all have each other’s back. This is definitely small town America
Small, small town here. Maybe 1500. We know and love each other, went to school together, played together, fought together, laughed together, cried together. We take care of our own. Not perfect, but definitely home. We will stand together if the need arises!! One big family!! Thank God I live here.!
Much love and respect to you both! Absolutely love reacting to you both, you both are so amazing with your views! We all need to come together! I’m from a small town and we don’t play with these people who disrespect the law, other citizens and this wonderful country! God bless you both! ❤️
Jason Aldean is from Macon, Georgia. I’m from a small town in Alabama, Roll Tide! He’s my favorite country male artist by far, absolutely love him and everything he stands for.
I'm from a small town, and I currently live in the county near a smallish town. When I hear a ruckus, dog barking at my or one of my not too close neighbors, etc., I get up with the gun my Dad gave me and go check it out. Peeps need to take care of peeps. Peace, Love!!
Powerful, honest, and stand up reaction. Nobody wants violence and rioting in their town. This song is NOT racist at all. Where do you hear a reference to color of your skin? If people have a problem with it....then look at the news clips in this video that really happened. The problem is with those people in the clips that think they can destroy people's lives and what they have worked hard for. We ain't going for it. Great and honest message Aldean.
Thank you Shawn And Mel for this and all your reactions. I lived in a small town of around 950 people in Montana from birth until I was 26. Everyone knew everyone and yes, when someone had a problem the community would band together and help however we could. I moved north of Seattle and somehow survived living there for 24 years. I only knew a handful of friends. Society there was heartless. They would rather kick you when you were down rather than lend a helping hand. I moved back home but I know longer know everyone. Just the old school people I grew up with. Even though they may be strangers, they will still do what they can do if someone is in need. God bless you both. 🙏
People who say this is about racism couldn't be more wrong. Its about sticking together and helping each other out. I grew up in a small town where my mom already knew that I did something wrong before I got home and that stuff wouldn't fly . CMT banning this video won't know how to act when this gets song of the year! 😅😂 We need to stick to common sense and not let anyone divide us ! ❤
You are absolutely right! That is how America used to be; until, these uneducated idiots; who, btw, never had to experience the hardships their folks had to endure to offer them the opportunities they have now. Free speech, voting, etc.. It is time for this generation to pick up the torch and carry it!! Pass it forward!!
I live in Dayton, Ohio there are a lot of small towns close to me. In the summer of 2020 when all of that was going on, a few busses of Antina showed up in a town about 20 minutes from here and about 700+ locals arrived completely armed and ready. Needless to say, these fools jumped back on their ride and took off never to return
This is my favorite reaction vid on this song so far. I live in a small town in Nebraska…347 people. You two are exactly the type of people we would love to have move into and join our community. If you ever find yourself passing through, please know you’re welcome with us!!!!!
I live in a small town (177)and we take care of each other .I'm 75, one of my neighbors brings me wood every winter. I had a stroke and my neighbors put me up in their home until I could live by myself. When I had my knee replaced they had me in their home until I was able to go home. We will do anything for each other.
You're right, those small towns have a history of murdering and lynching black people. You definitely took care of your own but those days are over and I bet you won't try that again in a small town.
First thing ,,you caught me off guard with name SHAWN ,,lost my brother shawn, April 26 2022 at 44 years old,,now your your reaction ,I LOVE IT ,,LIFE IS TOO SHORT, HELP EACH OTHER ,WE NEED MORE LOVE AND DEFINITELY NEED MORE RESPECT,,,YALL HAVE MY RESPECT
Jason Hit the nail on the head I grew up in a very small farming community surrounded by cornfields and pastures the town of about 600 people tops. We all look out for each other. And won’t tolerate that crap!!
Great reaction. I raised in a holler in Kentucky the closest town to me had about 400 people. Everyone looked after each other and was always willing to help one another where I grew up. Aldean song is so true about a small town.
Thank you for having Courage and Integrity for speaking the truth. Truth is the truest form of freedom is all things. Stand up for truth. Which always brings hope and freedom to all. Blessings and Peace to all..... God Bless America 🇺🇸
Love this reaction. I served in the US NAVY from 2001-2012 and worked with everyone from all walks of life. I support my police and teach them to respect authority. Thanks for the reaction. God bless!
Yes I am from a small and still live here, I love this country and you are right United we stand! And I think if you are not from a small town then make your own, where ever you are at, Protect each other and help out each other, And you two come on down we will have a cup of coffee on the front porch, You are amazing, Great reaction❤🙏
I was raised in a small town. Everyone stood up with each other. Even those that didn't always get along when the chips were down they came together for their neighbors.
Bless you sweet people You guys are loaded with common sense I’m a 65 year old white man raising my grandchildren in a very small town 899 folks and it’s EXACTLY what Jason’s singing about God Bless yall
I am from Idaho..I had the privilege of being from small town America…my city friends are amazed when they come visit at the freedoms small town Americans have..we have the great outdoors, not much traffic, wildlife out back, neighbors helping neighbors, everyone smiles, and most of us have guns and we will protect those freedoms at all cost..the reason the second amendment was written..this not about race it’s about everyone right to protect their towns from harm..p.s. you guys are great💕💕
Love you guys. I spent 40 years in Chicago and now 13 in a smaller town. I feel much safer, people care about each other and there is a sense of pride. Appreciate you guys
My first time watching your channel. It’s so refreshing to see that most people aren’t falling for Main Street media’s telling us it’s a racist and violence promoting song. Most of us want to live in peace and not have to worry about looking over our shoulders. Pray that God will keep moving us together as a people!
Yes There is nothing better then being from a small town. When you are sick everyone in town knows you are sick. Then you hear a knock at your door. Then you open it and what should be there? But a pot of chicken soup and a note saying “get well soon” I am from Hagerstown Maryland. Love it too! We do take care of each other and Pay know mind to skin color. Everyone is family!! You need food you got it, you need a ride you got it! You need anything and someone will help you get it! Just the way we all are!! Great song and video guys. God Bless❤
Kathy here - I LOVE you and your wife's reactions. I thank you for not seeing this as something racist. Jason was born in Macon, Ga., about 35 east of my small hometown of Albany, Ga. And this song is so on point. I finally moved out of a big city 20 years ago and now live in a small town again. Was able to raise my last child here. There is a sense of community, fellowship and caring in all small towns across America, and there is not a single one that would put up with the crap going on in big cities today. Burning and looting from family-owned businesses in your own neighborhoods. Shaking my damn head at these idiots!
I live in a small town and love it. We have a very small police force (4 officers) and they are wonderful. We watch out for all our neighbors and will step up to keep our town safe.
I was born and raised in a small mining town in Southern AZ, the town no longer exists. We always helped families that fell on a hard time. I raised my daughter in a small town in TN and the community always came together and still does. Be kind always as it doesn't cost a dime. This Jason Aldean video was filmed in Maury County, TN. As Mel said "divided we stand, divided we fall"....girl that is what is wrong with people today!!! 💞💞💞💞💞💞
I too have watched probably hundreds of reactions to this song. What people on the left fail to realize, is us good ole boys and girls out here in the country and small towns don’t play. We look out for our neighbors and friends. My neighbors cover the whole spectrum, black, white, mixed race, Hispanic, even a couple families from India. WE ALL look out for each other. My wife told me the other day that neighbors think I’m scary but friendly. I come from a military and law enforcement background. I smile, I wave and say hello, but I’m always watching. You don’t live here, I’m watching. And so are they. Me for them, then for us. I love my neighbors and my small town. Try that sh!t here, trust me, there’s swamps and land to…well, y’all know what I’m saying. 😉. Love y’all channel and keep up the Lords work! God Bless You!!
I've lived in a small my entire life. Big city bs does not fly in a small town. We all know each other and if stuff happens you best believe we will stand up together. It's the same in all small towns all over the planet.
I love this song and saw him live two weeks ago. Jason isn’t racist. He just hates seeing the violence, looting, spitting in cops face, disrespecting neighborhoods etc. I grew up in a neighborhood like this and all kids played together and we looked out for each other.
Y’all are great!! I live in a small town in Alabama. You know this is the anthem around here!!!! And by the way this ain’t the original video. He had to recut it bc of all the back lash he was getting in the last few days. I saw the original and it had a news clip of farmers coming to help one of their own. That makes me sad bc it was a good video. People are just getting to sensitive and need waking up!!! #trythatinasmalltown #jasonaldean
Awesome review! This raises such emotions of Gratitude for our small towns and the beautiful people that live there! It doesn't matter the color of your skin..... you're my neighbor! We all want our community to be safe!
This is the first video I’ve seen of you two… but I already know that I freaking love y’all’s beautiful souls! Pure and genuine. My kinda people. I’m a single mama in a small town in Oklahoma. Raising my kids right. I don’t want to, but I am willing and able to utilize my second amendment right to protect my babies, my land and my neighbors. Liked and subscribed ♥️
I love watching y'all's reaction videos. I live in Alabama. The town I live in is much bigger than it was when I was growing up, but I believe that we would still have each other's backs even if we hadn't met. I would be proud to call y'all neighbor. God bless y'all. Keep doing what you're doing.❤
I am from a small town, and very sick of seeing such disrespect of almost everything that makes not only small towns great ,but our whole nation!! Thanks to y'all for putting it out there💞
Your opinion are respected. I came from a small town where we respected each other, color or ethnicity was never an issue. I feel for todays peoples, what happened to caring and having each others backs. Times are hard, but we only hurt ourselves and accomplish nothing. We need togetherness again. Love your true feelings. Love to you both. Love you both.❤🫶🎶🎤🙏
Love you two. Your honest opinions are a breath of fresh air. The media (among others) say this is racist! How so? All its saying is "if you come to these small towns and think you'll get away with that 💩, you'd better think twice because you may not be going home tonight". Mic drop!
I know this song was out a year ago, but living in a small town all my life - so glad we had “nosy neighbors.” As teens we didn’t like it, but our parents would find out if we got into any mischief.
I really in joy being with u all in this video I will catch you all again God Bless you go Jason and I am from a small town. Let them try it in my small town and see how far its going to go.
