People who leave hate comments say more about themselves than anything else. I kind of feel bad for them since they have to be really miserable to bully people on the internet. The hater is ridiculous. You love tennis, it's your new hobby and if they'd take the time to actually watch your content they'd see that you take classes, you make the effort to learn this new hobby of yours, and its something you enjoy a lot! It's great to have hobby's and learn something new! So egg on their face!
Regardless if you were into tennis for 10 minutes or consistently for 6+ months; if something brings you joy, and you want to share that, to hell with what anyone else thinks. There is no "timeline" to when someone can find joy in a hobby/new interest. I don't play tennis, but I love seeing your updates on it because I can see how much you love it, and I would also be curious about the calories burned as well because I also do that when I do other physical activities outside of going to the gym. I was a former tennis player in high school who would love to pick it back up and it’s so cool to see you able to find all these local classes! I always felt like I couldn’t pick it back up because id need to join a country club or a formal tennis group/league. inspired me to look and see what may be available near me to join more casually!

From someone who played tennis for years, including college tennis and did some coaching...I absolutely love the fact that you love something I was passionate about and would only ever think of encouraging you in pursuing the fun and skills the game of tennis can bring. Sounds like this insatiable desire to put others down is purely done to feel better about themselves and to overlook their shortcomings in life. I know when I get negative comments for things, despite all the positive ones, I feel like I have to address it but you don't. If the issue brings out things you need to work on for your own personal development then draw out the good in all this and become stronger. There will always be those who hate and their words can have a "sting". I just say a prayer for them and release it and declare it has no effect on me. Embrace and enjoy life as you do. Thanks for this video Shelby: I got the exact same type of comment on a goofy cooking video I made. This guy was raging at me for doing it all wrong and, basically, daring to put a video out in a way they wouldn't do. It took me so long to realise that every comment (and replies to others in the thread) that they left was 100% all about them and nothing to do with me. It's a pain to have it there though. I've recently started working out consistently again and the best part, literally the part that motivates me to go on some days, are the FITS!!! i used to play tennis as a highschooler and played really well, but the pressure to go past state and play more seriously was so lost on me at that time in my life. you really inspire me as a beginner to get back into tennis! haters like that are just miserable lol, you counting calories and all that have also helped me think about how i introduce that into my life again, the terrible people like that are loud. it makes me realize we should all voice how others inspire us in our own busy lives because you definitely leave positive impacts in parallel more than you realize.

Your tennis posts inspired me to take up a sport (either tennis or pickleball). Like you I also work for myself at home but I've been feeling extremely socially isolated and hardly leave the house as I get my groceries delivered . Been looking or ways to be more "normal" and interact with people more. Maybe this will help. Takes up a lot of time though driving to different courts.
Editing is my favorite part of making a video. The way footage is editing can totally change the meaning of a video or film. I prefer cutting movie trailers. Have you ever cut a trailer? It's real fun. Telling a 2 hour story in 2 minutes to convince the audience to go watch the movie.

I played tennis all through high school and was even on varsity for 2 years and I never remembered how to play a tie breaker. My serves were awful. It's not the most intuitive sport to play. Keep playing and enjoying the sport!

I completely agree with the concept of learning anything and starting from zero at any age and as a tennis fan I applaud your decision to learn it. Lately, I have been seeing content from different creators (not you) using tennis to flex their outfits, country clubs and gear, which is something funny to me because you don’t see that in other sports and, for me, I can’t describe the feeling of getting my first racquet and tennis sneakers. I think advertising is a smart move, but depending on the advertisement item it might upset some hardcore tennis fans who are as passionate about it as any other sport fan.

I’m a doctor of physical therapy & I’m so excited to see this healthcare scam video. I left insurance based practice a year ago to start my own practice out of network and a lot of my clients and patients say they pay the same if not less then what they pay with insurance which is crazy because the level of care they get with me is 10x better if not more
