Shopping List:
For the grits:
1 cup grits
2 cups whole milk
2 cups chicken broth
8 oz colby jack cheese
2 jalapenos
1 shallot
1-2 tsps garlic paste
1-2 tbsp butter
all purpose seasoning
1 tsp chicken bouillon powder
For the Fried Fish:
Catfish Filets (or any white fish that you prefer)
Oil for Frying
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup yellow cornmeal
3 eggs + 1/4 cup milk
AP Seasoning and Old Bay
1/2 packet sazon
Gravy and Garnish:
3-4 pieces of bacon
1-2 tbsps bacon grease
2 tbsps avocado oil
2 tbsps all purpose flour
1 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup heavy cream
AP and Old Bay seasoning
