I've binge watched this channel for the last 4 hours and I have to say I have the utmost admiration for you exploring in the Bus, I came across this as the you-tube algorithm must have seen me watching "Monkey bike" vids and recommended the channel, and it takes me back 40 years when I was between jobs and relocating and myself and wife rented a tumbledown "motorhome" and toured Scotland, what fun we had, and after relocating to southern England, 6 weeks later, my wife announced the pregnancy of our first child, so a great bonus (not suggesting you do that LOL) But living your life on your own terms is what it's all about, and I have really enjoyed watching these vids. I'm on my own now, both my sons and my wife have sadly passed away, and I ride motorcycles everyday in Wales UK, Life can be hard, so use all your available time to enjoy yourself and live life to the full, here one second, gone the next, take care and kind regards from Wales UK.

This woman is so adorable she likes her Monkey and trail riding, goes on trails and paddle boards and has a giant Bus as a camper. What a wonderful life style to have.

When you drop your bike it's easier to pick back up if you turn the front wheel toward the side thats down. This lifts the bike up a few inches. Now hold the bars by the lower side hand grip with one hand, put your other hand back on the frame by the seat or just behind. Put your behind on the seat, then push with your legs.picking it up by just using the handle bars can bend them. Your legs are the strongest muscles you have. It may take a few tries to get the knack of doing it. Once you learn this technique you can pick up heavy bikes with no problems.

Hilarious opening segment!! Had me in tears laughing. Emma, this as of now is the 2nd best video you've made to date. The best video was your first drive of the bus!!! Everything looked Beautiful where you're at! Keep up the great times, then show them off!!!🏄 🏊 🚃 🎻

Emma, there are luggage racks on ebay for the Monkey for easier transport of goods.

You was talking about problems with your bike, and it reminded me when I was younger, I was following my step brother on his motorcycle. He had been drinking a little and ended up laying the bike over. No one was hurt, but the bike wouldn't start with the push button starter. We was out in the country on a paved road, so we decided I would push him and he would try to dump the clutch and start it that way. I'm very stubborn, so I pushed him over and over again, and he tried many times, but the bike wouldn't start. I was young, so I probably pushed him a mile before I was finally winded enough to tell him it was his turn to push me. I got on the bike and immediately noticed that the little flip switch was not turned to the "run" position. It was amazing how when I turned it to run, the bike started with the starter. All that effort... But in the end, like your loose battery wire, it is nice that it was something simple.

Emma, they make luggage racks for the Honda Monkey. You will find a lot of aftermarket stuff online in the $150.00 range. real easy bolt on upgrade for you. It would make it a lot more utilitarian for your uses.

Hi Emma love how you just have a go. Don’t stress about dropping your bike, It happens and you’re only new to riding. I’ve been riding road bikes since I was 21 and I’m 55 now and still have dropped my current bike. The last time I dropped it I forgot to put the side stand down when I got off. How dumb is that lol.

if you make it to Oregon, try Clear Lake . At Salem head east on 22 . You'll see signs to it when you get close to Santiam pass. The lake is so clear , you can see the bottom in many places.

I also don't like sunglasses and hats. My face is too sensitive for lotion suncreens, plus i usually end up sweating them into my eyes. The best product I found is tinted zinc oxide powder that brushes on like makeup. I won't link to the brand I use so you know that this isn't a product promotion, but you can do a search for the brands. Thanks for sharing your adventures.

What a beautiful lake! How lucky you are to have this spot! Enjoy it!!

A luggage rack mounted on the back of your bike to tie down loads to will make your bike easier to ride. Carrying weight in your back pack raises the center of gravity. Tieing the back pack down to a luggage rack lowers the center of gravity. Being tied down keeps the weight more stable. On your back it can flop around.

Emma, get some camp cord to tie the life jacket with the camera on it to the paddle board. (Camp cord is the name I give string while I'm camping)

It is Saturday morning 10:00 am and I have watched this episode which made me feel as if I was camping at that lake. Just one week ago I was on a inflatable paddle board myself for the first time ever and I couldn’t gracefully stand on the board let alone jump of it. Enjoy your vacation and stay safe 👍🇳🇱

Emma, I can see you are having a great vacation, make sure you do all that you want to. There should be a compressor fitted to the bus, which supplies air for the brakes, there should also be an outlet of some sort, where you can connect a hose and then you could fill your paddle board from the bus, also great for checking your tyre pressures. ATB.

Emma glad your enjoying the lake. Looks like a good place to spend a few days. When you get to finishing your build you might add child safety locks on drawers and cabinet doors. Easy to install. Then you will not have to worry about things flying around as you drive. Have a great time.

WA is a great example of why Tourism becomes Non existent after Labor Day. The NON STOP rain from mid Oct until early March HAS A COUPLE TERMS “absurd” and “Intrusive.” Went there from the South for 5 years and I actually developed seasonal depression every Winter. WA is a notch in our belt that is over and done, never again! If you enjoy wearing pants and a hoodie to the beach in July, this is your place!

Baker Lake! Such an awesome place. Truly my happiest place on earth. Magical!

Looks like lake Easton! Make sure to drive the Yakima Canyon! It's beyond beautiful! It' close by and amazing (even when you see the Bighorn sheep on the canyon walls! Also, you can rent Tube's or full boats at Central Washington student's store and float the river! I hope you get to see it! So as someone who recently moved to Washington and found this by looking for Washington camping advice: Where was this beautiful place?

I lived in Utah for a number of years and loved the southern part of the state. Red Canyon area outside of Panguitch, the most. Skunk Creek Rd will always be legendary(Definitely not a bus road) I live in the PNW, home of my family, now for the last 4 years. I'll never move back to Utah, but will always visit and camp when the opportunity arises.

Hi Emma, I'm pretty sure where you were at on Baker Lake as it looks like Mount Baker in the background. I hike in The North Cascades of Washington State all the time. I live on Whidbey Island. My favorite spot to camp is at Colonial Creek Campground on Diablo Lake but I also like the wilderness area near Baker Lake. Baker Lake has fast boats at times but Diablo Lake does not. I can easily load my kayak in the lake and kayak up to Ross Lake Dam or Baker Lake Dam. Love these areas!!!!

Where exactly are you?

I made a camera buoy out of a piece of conduit and foam noodle that would float about a foot above the water. it would spin with the waves but I put a slit in another noodle and put the buoy through it forming a T, which stabilized that camera so it wouldn't spin. Awesome shots with both options.

I just found your channel and think you're doing fantastically. You're likely releasing video well after you've departed a location, but just in case you don't, I've lived in Washington State for over 30 years and now live in Missouri. If you want to know any cool places to see and explore in Washington State, don't hesitate to ask. I've been practically everywhere in the State and can make adventure recommendations based on the region of Washington you're in. Stuff that the typical tourist never even knows about. Emma, looks like up around Mt. Baker. Also you could go over to the Olympics. There are camp sites over on Crescent lake. Another beautiful spot. And hot springs nearby. Lake Chelan is incredible too. Have fun,
