Get some blocks to make into a stair or platform to walk up when loading your bike. When you're up higher it will make the weight easier to control and help tremendously. Just make sure it's stable as first priority.

You might also look into getting a drop hitch adapter to lower your rack about 8” as it looks like you have plenty of ground clearance. Really enjoy your channel. Dean

If you had something to put your left foot on, you could probably ride the monkey up the ramp. A welder might be able to weld some rebar or something on there for you.

I have been thinking the same, maybe a 2nd ramp and platform in front of the bike one, just to walk on Doesn’t have to be too wide or heavy duty, just nice and stable.

When loading your bike, higher steady RPM'S dont over rev. Use your clutch to slow it down or speed it up. Once up front brake. You're getting better. Love your content. Tip>>>>> before you park the bus find a good spot of land that’s at an angle so when you go to load the Bike, you can pull the bus up to it and the ramp would be closer to the ground. Another would be buying a race ramp so you can place it on the ground in front of the rack and you can walk up it while your loading the bike, hopefully this helps and safe travels

When you were on North Cascades Highway or SR20, all of the mountains north and south of the Highway are in the National Park. There are many great trails there. Blue Lake and Maple Pass are a couple of the best. The road is closed west of Winthrop in the winter and the area is a cross country ski Mecca.

The Monkey was a great addition for your journey. So many drag along their cars or SUV. I’ll take the monkey. Maybe a suggestion for loading it back up , a couple of step up blocks or pet ramps. Amazon has Pet stairs and ramps. Or a couple of big blocks. Safe travels.

Emma, on those streams where you see innertubers floating by. Check around for the Service that does that. They will pick you up downstream and bring you back up. Ask if you can use your paddle board.

Watching this video, I have to give you a recommendation, Southern Cascades have some spectacular places to visit. Lassen Volcanic Park, McCloud Waterfalls, Mt Shasta, Crater Lake, Diamond Lake Highway with Tokatee and Watson Falls, and many more. There's also the high desert East of the Cascades, and US 395 goes through much of it. I used to live about an hour drive from Lassen Park or Mt Shasta, and made frequent trips to get out of the heat in the Sacramento Valley.

Move the bus to a place where the front of the bus is lower but the ground to the side is higher. That reduces the vertical climb of the monkey when loading it. Much easier.

To help load bike put front tires of bus into a dip in the land so front is closer to ground. If there is a curb and sidewalk or something like that you could pull up with nose of bus over curb and that would put carrier closer to ground. Put back of bus on a high spot that would lower front of bus. Lots of ways to help. I was amazed you got bike up ramp you were reaching above shoulders, you don't have a lot of control that way.

Hi Emma. I think you need to get a custom cover for the bike to protect it from the sun and dirt when it’s on the bus. Also keeps prying eyes away. You’ll find your investment in the bike won’t deteriorate so quickly.

Hi Emma, i see you struggling with loading the bike, try a small workhorse placed beside the carrier so you have a wider platform to stand on, they make aluminum benches you can find in a home depot .keep up the great work!!

I used to be part owner of restaurant in Twisp, you had to see it if you are in Winthrop. Great to see your confidence growing riding, (not racking) the motorbike. The North Cascades Highway has stunning views.

Another great video. Highly entertaining as always. Something I switched to was a hitch mount hydraulic motorcycle carrier. Life changing. I'm never going back to a regular ramp and carrier. Not as expensive as you may think. Worth every penny. Safe travels.

If you had a bench you could step up on sitting in front of your motorcycle carrier, you would have much better control of the bike. I am sure there are adjustable folding benches out there that would work. Being remote you need to decrease safety hazards, you could get hurt so it’s worth the expense.

scouting areas with the bike and moving the bus when temps are reasonable this is real bus life and very interesting and informative. I’m so glad the drivetrain is working out so far ! I know you have a 24v Cummins but would like to know the transmission and breaks info. Maybe get a temp gun to monitor the break temperature

When you take your bike off and on try to park in a dip or spot where the rack ends up closer to the ground so your ramp is less steep.

Old-timer Full-timer in Japanese 4wd Bus. I use a similar motorcycle carrier, it is much easier when you pick the right spot to unload. Look for places where the bus front is closer to the ground, front tires in a depression or back tires on a hill.

I grew up in Central Washington and id like to recommend dry falls as a camp ground. There's also a visitors center that covers the history of the area. And a side note they have done lazor shows on the side of the grand coulee damn. Enjoy.

See you making toast in the oven. They make a fold up toaster that goes on your top burner. I've found putting a pot cover on top of it makes it toast faster
