it been my dream to earn the title united states marine since I was 4 now I'm 20, I've been told no to my dream by people that I don't even know, even by recruiters, no matter what or how many times I'm told no, to give up, I'm never going to stop until I have signed the contract and be sent to mcrd Paris island south Carolina for 13 rigorous weeks of training to find out if I have what takes both mentally and physically. I'll never give up my dream of becoming a Marine. if there's any marine or civilian who has struggled with trying to achieve their dream I ask that you give me the motivation and encouragement not to give up to keep pushed forward and to keep on working towards my dream. semper fi marines oorah!!!
Andrew Hurst; If you want something bad enough, go after it. Life was never meant to be easy. If that's what you really want, prepare yourself physically, study hard to pass the ASVAB, prepare yourself with the appropiate mindset and most important, once you get in, avoid injuries during trainning. Most of the time individuals are stronger than they think and once you get in there's no single individual anymore, it'll be "TEAMWORK" for the rest of your life. GODSPEED!!; SEMPER FI!!.
Why are they saying “NO” would be my first question. Can’t pass the ASVAB test then study there are guides. Do you have a felony on your record then your fucked unless you get it expunged which the courts typically don’t do for violent felonies. Are you looking for a specific MOS and there are no spaces available for that MOS then you don’t want to be a Marine that bad! There is nothing wrong with Infantryman. Just don’t do open contract because you will be shoved into whatever MOS has the most needs which could be cook or Admin.
Andrew Hurst I was told I was to small to become a Marine,I was told I was stupid and I felt stupid once I took my first asvab and failed but here I am May 4th,2019 5’4 135lbs and a Poole for the USMC awaiting my ship date June 3rd,2019 I’ll be off to San Diego just 3 days after I graduate High School.Good Luck to anyone who wishes to obtain the title Marine don’t back down
