Regarding Arrogance PH... Early 80s bottles say "R.P. Denis" at the bottom. Late 80s bottles say "S.B.P." 90s to 2000ish say "Schiapparelli-Pikenz." All the above versions have a gold logo on the cap and are 80%. Later versions (2000ish to present day) are 79% and say "The First", like yours. In the 2010s most of the writing on the bottle was removed, leaving only "Arrogance Pour Homme" and they have "ARROGANCE" embossed on the cap.

Good to see Beaufort getting a good airing. Dark fragrances, love them. Coeur de noir is inky dark, reminds me of a lovely vintage bottle of Carruades de Lafite. Beauforts can be challenging initially, but like all great stinks, you go back for more! 😂

Wearing Blend 30 today and MY GOD there’s a lot of Carnation in this. I found a mini and it reminded me so much of 3EHomme in the heart. Great vid as per usual Ram.

Yes there is a bit of Le 3EHomme in there but there is more of this hay like / tobacco dry down .. i am a huge fan of Dunhill Blend 30 🤌🤌🤌

Eugen + alcohol = Eugenol. 😂 Love my cloves/basil/carnation in vintage perfumery. Plenty of gems in this vid Ramsey. Props for Bel Ami and Tsar. Moods too. Big carnation in my splash bottle of Tabac. Bathroom was chock full of it this morning. 😁

Thanx to this video I just realized that the bottle of quorum I got a TJ Maxx for $20 is an older bottle. It must have been old stock. Thank you perfume Gods. And thank you 🐏. I love carnation, I’ve been enamored by it for a while. I’m working on a old school carnation accord lately.

Love a good old school carnation accord... these videos make you realize how many of your favorite frags have a particular accord .. moschino ph & bel ami & trussardi uomo & fendi uomo & knize ten all use that spicey carnation with the leather 😍

Yeah it’s a travesty that IFRA restricted eugenol and isoeugenol. I believe it’s one of the reasons we don’t see carnation like we used to. And it’s why it’s just not the same carnation. Carnation and leather built with castorium and or Isobutyl Quinoline *chefs kisses.

Herrera Aqua(2004),Animale Animale(1994),Live Jazz(1998) & Spazio Krizia Uomo(1993)...the boxes are not in good condition...but bottles are perfect 👌🏼...have to check to see if they are vintage or reformulated juice...by the way I live down in the Caribbean Trinidad 🏝 😎

Great call Natalia, this is right up Ramsey's street. I remember Emel recommended NdSP some time ago, which coincidentally my Wife wore this before I met her, she still has a collection of the Zodiac splash bottles. My Wife came across NSdP art while studying in Paris, after Emel's rec I managed to track down the elusive spray bottle with the intertwined snakes as the lid. Wow this fragrance dances around you, it's an experience. It's not one thing, I get fleeting Azuree, Magie Noire, Aromatics Elixir and even Antaeus. I feel there's more to come with each wear. Definitely one for a fragrance enthusiast.

YES! I saw that edt with the golden snakes cap (30ml) but bought the mini first just to try (and it's also quite cute 😁). Never before have I smelled such a composition. I don't know how abiut you, bet it smells "niche" to me - it is for the adventurous and curious minds. PS. I hope Emel comes back. Her input is extremely valuable.

Been waiting for a video on carnation. Ok,so I've been telling you about Oscar for men. It kind of smells like dunhill edition maybe mixed with aspects Guerlain vetiver and Terre D'hermes. But with absolutely every trace of sweetness taken away. I know those fragrances aren't sweet anyway but compared to Oscar for men they are gourmands. Lol. Then, when all sweetness is removed, add a huge blast of cracked black pepper. .. and maybe a bitter bar of soap. That's what you have with Oscar for men. It's discontinued but the newer formulations did add a slight amount of sweetness so try and get an older one. When I sent that package the other day I thought of trying to send a sample of the older Oscar for men because my bottle is not spraying but I don't know how to take it apart and decant it 😁. I'm going to look for decanting kits online. So imagine dunhill edition with even the slightest sweetness that is in it removed and black pepper blasts. Someday I'll send you a sample.oh,it's has the nutmeg of dunhill edition,too. I tried the regular dunhill modern formulation the other day and sadly it's very underwhelming. Keep up the great videos!...oh,also the quality of Oscar for men is also far superior to dunhill edition. It's a classy hairy chested yet sophisticated like James Bond scent. It's Sean Connery James Bond. Lol.

@@RamseytheRam adidas 85 is nothing like the other Adidas fragrances. Kellen did a video on the best Adidas fragrances yet he didn't include that one because he's never smelt it. I had to giggle a little bit because I know he would love the 85 Adidas more than any of those. Adidas 85 is how "sport" frags used to be done. You're right about Beverly hills VIP special reserve by the way. Great frag and dose have some Zino DNA in it. I got it for 2$ lol. Only half full but can't beat that price.

I think the IFRA restrictions have really hurt the modern perfumers ability to use a good carnation note... sad since so many of the vintages I know & love use a carnation note 🍻

@@RamseytheRam Yeah, it sucks ! but i am sure that some niche and small indie houses uses carnation absolute on some compositions, for example, Chypre no.1 by Darren Alan Perfumes is a perfect example of that. IFRA can go to hell.
