I like that you mentioned about this being a kids collectible. I swear there are many people out there that seem to think that just because the likes of NECA/Super7/Jada Toys make great looking genuine adult collectibles, that somehow this means that whatever is in the toy aisle nowadays is fair game for being 'adult collectibles' too. As adults we still need to expect a certain higher level of quality to actually be there, that a child in comparison is happy to overlook, as they just want stuff that looks fun, colourful and is durable for their more heavy handed playtime sessions.

Even as a kid i had standards and an eye for quality. Its what made me the nerd i am today. I think i wouldve had fun with this set. I built my own damn sets with cardboardboxes. Lol. These figures are a food size for that

I remember back in the 1970s when I was 6 years old, my Mum said she had bought me a dinky toy spaceship. I was so excited because I thought this would be tiny as in dinky, pocket sized, easy to carry around. Imagine my surprise when I discovered it was 12 inches long and that the manufacturer was called Dinky, it didn't refer to the size of the toy! So if you have never heard of Nano the manufacturer before then I see exactly where you are coming from.

I came across the TMNT character pack that had 18 figures for about $25, and thought that they would be good for miniature skirmish games, especially for weird match-ups like TMNT vs. Marvel, etc. The paint jobs aren't great, but painted is painted, which is much more than I can say for my pile of gray miniatures!

i cant figure out why, but my 5 yr old wanted the jada fast n furious house so i got it for him. neither of us has ever seen a ff movie. im scared they’re gonna see this turtle set now, but i’ll get it for them just to support jada toys so they can make all the baddies from street fighter like cammy, poison, r.mika, laura, and sakura. the baddies.

Once you treat the nano figs and nano scenes like interchangeable and fun dioramas rather than toys or collectibles - it makes more sense. The normal nano-lines like this are 1.6in figures I think so you can mix and align all the playsets and interchange the characters to essentially make your own goofy city. The same way you say these are more for kids than adults, we could also argue these are more for display than play - again, being a diorama. Good review, but I kind of feel attacking this line as your normal toy front may have created a bit more negative bias than I would have thought.

I was also expecting this to be much smaller, like their other nano vehicles like their own Nano turtles set with the technodrome, blimp and van in a pack of 3! So am thankful after seeing this, it's not suitable for my collection at this size XD That being said, it would be very cool if they did these "nano scenes" but with old videogames. Like a nano scene of the turtles arcade game, with a sort of pixellated paint job that neca does, and other scenes from other older games - street of rage or robocop vs terminator and so on, so like a scene of an iconic level and some figures to display on it. Streets of rage would be a win for me, a selection of characters and the cop car on a street scene, noice

I remember the awesome classic party wagon which i liked allot.And also the turtles had die cast-metal shell's as well! 😉 I have castle grayskull from mega construx and though not so nano it shows much cooler than that! 😅

It's getting weird that so many RU-vidrs are reviewing so many things that are basically kid's toys. You are right to call it out. As an older collector, I am starting to get fatigue on RU-vidrs freaking out over items designed for middle schoolers. It might finally be time for me to take a break from all this stuff.

I can certainly agree with that. Although there are sometimes exceptions. I I kinda fell under the spell of the Mutant Mayhem figures from Playmates recently, which I didn’t expect. It’s kinda refreshing to once in a while come across some good 10 dollar figures for kids rather than 50 or more dollar adult figures that are sometimes of similar quality.

Another freaking awesome ridiculously funny review! Was literally just about to import this to UK as like you I’m obsessed with all things TMNT. But after seeing this thing, dang, it belongs in the sewer! Just cannot get my head round the sizing whatsoever?!
