You really do need to go camping in Tellico. I do a couple of times a year , usually just past "the governor's hole". I didn't know it had a name....lol. It's nice to be able to relax and take your time fishing. I know making the videos you gotta be rushed sometimes. I met you once in Townsend , you stopped and asked me if I was getting any bites. I can't remember what stream it was. Have you been to Cherokee (the reservation) yet ? Keep up the good work.
Awesome day of fishing. I just went spinner fishing with a Joe's Fly and hooked a bunch of rainbows and never got one to the bank. Action so fast I never thought to check the lure. I had caught the treble hook on my jeans and it came off the lure into my pants.
@@jerdew I’ve done a similar thing but my midge fly was broken at the bend of the hook. Fished for a few hours wondering why I couldn’t hook any! Glad you had an awesome day jerry!
Man that was a good day that river always treats you good. Looks like the subscribers are climbing pretty quick now. I'm really happy for you. Keep up the good work.
This may be my New Favorite River! Another good video! Keep em coming! Holy Cow, Big Hatchery fish! Can't wait and will be looking for the Governor's hole!
I got a brown exactly like that Sunday and how in the world can you even fly fish some of the areas of that River is hard to even fish with a spinning rod pitching underhand I'm going to be there camping every weekend for a while so I can learn the place real well
Mount the magnet to the plastic clip on the back of your vest. Mount the other magnet to the back of the net. Then make sure the line is connected between the rings on the two magnets. This way, when you drop your net, it's tethered to your back and won't float away. You probably figured that out already though. Thanks for the video. I found a pair of pliers a few weeks ago, and I was just as excited :P Gorgeous trout as usual! Any closer to 4k watch hours? Your subscriber count is doing great!
Enjoyed the video immensely, we just camped near Stateline last week. We caught a ton of Rainbows, What was the fly you were using when you hooked the brown at the end of the video?
Thanks for the comment, and to be honest this video was posted awhile back so I’m not to sure what I was using. I use a lot of firestarters pheasant tails and egg patterns. So probably one of those
Is it true the Tellico is closed to fishing on Thursdays and Saturdays? I’m going to be bummed if that’s the case. Going to be in town for only a few days this week.
We hit the Tellico near the state line this past Saturday. Busy place on a weekend but definitely worth it for my son and I visiting from California. And those two ladies at the Trout Mountain Coffee House couldn’t have been sweeter!
Green cove lodge and up river from there. I’d maybe wait a bit for the weather to cool off! The water may be to warm right now. Had a buddy that’s really good at fly fishing tell me he went up last week and only caught 3-4 fish all day. They’re also not stocking until delayed harvest.
They are palomino! And they get caught pretty fast as you may imagine. I’ve only seen one in the actual river. But tons of photos on Facebook. As people catch them Saturday mornings after they stock
Honestly it’s been so long since i published this video. BUT there’s only a certain amount of flies that I use up there. Here’s the list. Egg Pheasant tail Fire starters Flash back pheasant tails Rainbow warrior So it had to be one of the above!
Any East Tennessee fishermen trying to link up and get on some trout? I'm in Kingsport tn. Looking for people to go on trips with, all my buds from school don't fish too much. Looking for some good spots to fly fish and film some catch and cooks. It's starting to get cold here, Smallies aren't hitting much anymore!
What’s up man, I haven’t been fishing to much because the trout bites been off. But in the next few weeks it should be picking back up. I’ll holler at you then and we can wet a line
@@TheTroutGuy1 Hell yeah man, sounds good! I've been fishing a few times this week and no luck. I'm looking at a new bass boat, maybe if I fish in some of the lakes around, I can fish deeper waters during the winter and catch some giant bass!
@TheTroutGuy1 lol out of the 1000s of times in my life that I've been called an asshole(implied or outright), that has to be the nicest response I've EVER received. Thank you so much for making this old man's day - sincerely! Have to admit that your passion definitely shines through. Best of luck to you friend, and keep on catching!
