Dr. Mary Jumbelic, a board-certified forensic pathologist, examined Carol Ryan before and after she died in the emergency ward.
“There was so much tissue damage that it defied a reasonable explanation,” Dr. Jumbelic told syracuse.com.

I recall hearing this & realizing the depth that human's can sink to as devastating. Similar to that realization as a child "there is no Santa Claus.". Really, the end of innocence.

I accidentally watched a video of a cop pulling someone over and the guy murdered the cop with an assault rifle. It was all caught on the cops cam. I was seriously disturbed and just kept thinking I shouldn't have seen what I just saw. It was very weird

@@Terridactal1966I saw that video too. It happens so fast and isn’t expected that it really hits the gut hard. Hard to explain but seeing the officer just drop and the life slowly expire from him was shocking. That one and the recent video of the military man lighting himself on fire are the 2 that have really left me feeling disturbed.

@@13lilsykos there was more than that. He didn't have an alibi and a lot of other evidence found on the body. I watched a whole documentary on it. He was a domestic abuser and she broke it off with him.

Theory (assuming the potato was cooked): A trucker gave her a ride and offered his take out or leftover breakfast. Carol accepted, and as she was distracted, taking a bite of potatoes and mid-swallow, he inflicted the blunt force trauma to her head, and she lost consciousness.

It’s regurgitated, meaning it was already in her stomach and had been digested and regurgitated back up into her oesophagus. Likelihood is she successfully got to the diner and ate, & was attacked after.

Not really, a potato with skin or without would really help making time of death more exact. Sort of why they test pig carcass in wrapped plastic bags to determine what stage of fly is on the body to determine how long the body has been there outdoors. Was a similar case referring to the potato, not sure if this was the case and never heard the firecracker reference. However a lot of these crime shows that are new are just stories rehashed with better quality sound and video. Just have seen my share of tv.. maybe too much

@@markmcneely5119that’s something totally different when they test pig carcasses with different injuries/chemicals etc. Having a peeled potato in her throat wouldn’t determine when she died. If anything, it could possibly be linked to *where* she last ate, ie the diner. But they’re completely different reference points

I was referring to 2 different cases I saw on these det shows and yes 1 of them did solve a case because although the victim threw up a certain amount of undigested potatoes were still inside of her. I included the pig story as a comparable note of how they may check time but as I ended the past post only a decades watching of crime shows. I didn't even graduate the Acadamy on 22nd street

If it was still in her throat doesn’t it mean that she was killed while she was still eating⁉️ otherwise it would’ve been in her stomach⁉️ ( still in the process of swallowing her food)
