I have learned the DJing with good old turntables and also mastered the latest mixing technology... What James Hype shows with today's technology at his gigs is simply terrific and a true skill, one of the best Dj's in the world at the present time. 🎉😅
Endless and ever shorter looping and sampling isn't really DJing. It is a skill of sorts and is kind of the logical progression with digital DJing and all MP3 files etc..., but there's absolutely zero musicality to this. You could learn to do this quite quickly, let's be fair. He can't even fuck up by clashing keys etc... because that's all in the software now, except that he hardly gets beyond looped drum patterns. It's just a passing fad that will stick around until the current generation of ravers move on and have kids. I can dig out mix CDs from 25 years ago that musically kick the shit out of this.@@nilsstorz1600
BRO, literally the whole crowd was ready for an absolute face melting drop after the breakdown.... And you decide to give them, that? i'd want my money back for the rolls you just ruined.
Tech house set problems… Shakers and djs making moves. I thing this is one of the worst periods for dance music and clubs, made on purpose by the labels in order to explode back with big tunes in some years and create a gap.
Everytime a see him he is like the only one having fun. Tech house has a problem, but people is dumb and partecipate anyway to this gigs. Tastes are no relevant, labels are giving you digested and shitted food with open hats and drops with interrupted coitus. And you buy tickets
The legend says the LightJockey actually died holding this strob button for too long... He was desperatly just trying to get it on, get it on, get it on, get it on, get it on, get in on, get it on (copy and paste 100 times)... A hero.
That wasn't really mixing that was more or less just changing the track :) actually mixing is where the two tracks are playing at the same time. I do like the use of the double loops though.. that is fun to do with usb or cd style mixing, but its not the same as actual beat matching with vinyl, slightly different techniques. Beat matching and mixing two tracks over one another is way more involved than juggling loops and fxs. Although much like turntablism it is a skill but it is not "real djing" maybe real cjing. DJing is actual mixing of tracks not simply moving a fader from one track to another. Still respect for JamesHype because he is in fact creating a lot of energy with his mixing style.
@@BestTechnoTracks Just as an aside, what is the definition of a Dj: Disc "disc" respectively "record" and jockey "rider") is used to describe a person who plays music stored on phonograms in an individual selection in front of an audience, for which the term "DJing" (from records to the player, originally "record player") is commonly used. But yes, fanboy! ;-)
just stop discussing about real DJing ... if you take part in discussion you are not a real DJ! because if you would be one, you wouldn't discuss, you would play your set. and stop defining what is real DJing. if the crowd is dancing it doesnt matter a single shit with what devices he played this sound!
I don't mind James Hype doing this kind of mixing, it's his style. But why are all tiktok djs now mixing with loops every time. Whatever happened to knowing your tunes and being able to nail long blends etc?
