I really hope this strategy game survives the “Star Wars curse,” it’s been almost 20 years since we’ve had a real strategy game in this IP. I don’t really care if it’s real-time or turn-based, as long as there’s depth and replayability. Star Wars games don’t have the staying power they used to, and this really needs to be addressed.
@@tommichaels2466 season pass only purpose are dlsc, there are 3 dlcs planned, one of them being the jabba one, and from what I know u can probably buy those dlcs alone or, for an overall cheaper price, you can get the season pass which will get you jabba’s gambit and 2 upcoming dlcs later on, its not like season pass in fortnite or something, atleast from what was shown in the trailer and was said by the devs
I have a feeling outlaws is going to look great and probably feel great, but the gameplay will be all right. Since that’s what Ubisoft does, but we will see since it’s just one trailer.
t's a Ubisoft game. If you've played one of them, you've probably played them all in terms of gameplay. Ubisoft has good games with a variety of gameplay, but this is for games from 2000-2014. Then they started using the same formula in their clones. I bet Outlaws will be a mix of Far Cry, Assassin Creed and Watch Dogs in terms of gameplay.
It will be exactly like Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. An overall good game with lots of content and a huge world, but nothing too crazy neither. A classic Ubisoft formula, to the only difference that this time it's set in the Star Wars universe ! I personally can't wait to play it and there's even a part of me that kinda hope the game is huge with tons and tons of sidequest even tho that's seen as a problem in Ubi games hehe
It’s sad that the fans and even the developers of Battlefront II all know that Battlefront is what everyone wants, but the people who can put that into action either don’t care about the fans or just think their decisions are better
If I could have any Star Wars game, I would want a naval action game where you command a starship/capital ship/fleet and engage in ship-to-ship skirmishes with other players. Maybe even a sea of thieves style game would be fun set in Star Wars

It annoys me so much that games could be so much more than they are. They classic games were made on old technology but hit so much harder than anything now
What I hate is that their "season pass" doesn't even include all content. Look at Assassin's Creed - Valhalla Season pass... doesn't even include Ragnarök DLC. Far Cry 6 season pass doesn't include Between World's DLC. They have to be out of their minds if they think I'm gonna pay $130 or even $110 for a game with a season pass that most likely doesn't even include all content. Plus the launch content paywalled too. Screw Ubisoft!!!
This is Ubisoft trying to get out of the financial hole they're in. Their marketing team needs to take a leaf out of Shift Up's book and focus on why we'll love the game, instead of trying to shove bonus editions down our throats.
Because it's a huge time of investment, resources, and expertise in a game development. Publishers need to consider various factors like game design, graphics, gameplay mechanics, online infrastructure, and more. Why do you think Outlaws was delay, why do you think KOTOR remake taking long time to develop, and most importantly why do you think the FPS shooter Star Wars game was canceled?? it's really those factors of what makes the game to feel immersive.

Battlefront Classic Collection isn't abandoned at least. On the SteamDB page. The game is mostly getting daily beta updates. Some taking a few days too update. Some taking even less than a day. So Aspyr are working behind the scenes on patching up the game. Plus, in terms of modding. I made a post on the website asking saying that something like Steam Workshop would make the game better. They said that while they can't guarantee it. They are looking too add it and better mod support. I think we just need too give them time too patch the game up. Cause I too say it's sad too see it in this state.
That’s good to know they’re still working on it, there has been complete radio silence from Aspyr for over a month now since update 1 and I was getting worried
tbh I don't see this game making a comeback because of their actions releases this game without putting much effort, passion and dedication into it. If they want to bring more players back they need to advertise this game again with new modes maybe maps and heroes to bring something new into the table

Me and a fellow modder are working on a mod for battlefront 2 called “Realistic Overhaul” This mod aims to overhaul the health and damage system to be a more movie accurate tactical experience. This mod will prioritize realism and accuracy to the Star Wars movies, while also maintaining balancing between characters. The overhaul will affect troopers, heroes, and reinforcements. Some other changes will be that Friendly fire will be present, rockets will be more effective against vehicles, recoil and weapon sway will be more present, snipers will one shot, grenades will be more realistic, and star card abilities (thise affecting damage and health) will be balanced. One example of balancing will be that the droidekas shield will be op similar to how it is in the movies, but when their shield is down they have low health especially when rolling (1.25 damage multiplier) similar to the OG bf games. We plan to release a beta within the next three weeks, with a full 1.0 release coming in late May or early June. Let me know if you have suggestions or questions! I want this to be a community based project built for the fans! Also I plan to run this mod with a few others on a kyber V2 server this summer. May the force be with you.

The pricing is not being blown out of proportion. Yet another Star Wars game breaking the camels back exposing all the shady awful practices of these AAA companies
Personally I feel setting $70 standard isn't right when you consider all the different Tax exemptions and other financial loopholes companies like Ubisoft gets. Don't forget Ubisoft got financial backing, tax breaks, and studio resources from various governments such as the French and Singapore government. Yet have the audacity to have a staggered launch based on if you paid an additional $40+ (Not even including places like New Zealand/Australia where it can actually cost $100 for standard, Gold is $160, and Ultimate is $190), Content originally designed during development and was cut as additional enticement for higher editions (The fact they claim Jabba will be in the game proves this was quest cut from the base game originally intended for standard edition).

There is a tabletop dungeon game style called imperial assault. Which is turn based. Its very cool and the star wars feel is really good. I kinda hope they envision that kinda game but on pc and console.
Im expecting bettlefront classic collection to be fixed. I did not refund they said multiple updates were coming. I just want to be able to enjoy myself online with some friends in a private match without the game feeling like shit... now i cant even refund anymore been over a month no word from devs. Someone should sue aspyr!
What I fear the most about this release is performance, I mean everyone remembers the infamous release of Jedi survivor… that fact combined with their instant push for preorders. I have a bad felling about this.

I play the classic collection on pc because it doesn’t give me any trouble when booting it up or playing it I don’t want to have to mod my bf2 in order to play it

I don't think anything is blown out of proportion, except people being upset that she's not their ideal of "attractive". Ubisoft hasn't released a good game in a decade. This looks like it's going to be exceptionally mid. They've never been good at story or dialogue, which is most important in a lore-heavy universe.
I remember when Battlefront 2 was the latest star wars games more than 5 years ago and I got so exicted over all the upcoming star wars games. Now I am not even going to buy Outlaws because it's Ubisoft. Still curious how gaming community will react to all that.
Star War players can't get anything nice once in a while for Star Wars games. The only games that are good is swtor, squad (2020) galactic contention, Battlefront 2 (2017)
I mean, look at this in the context of the video. Drama in star wars games as of late means buggy or unplayble launches, awful dlc or preoorder bonuses, monetization schemes like lootboxes, ridiculous prices, and so on. Both battlefronts, jedi 1 and 2, and now outlaws all have commited this mistakes in varying degrees. Battlefront 2 only got better because EA had to face the scandal made by the community (and rightfully so) Squadrons had none of that. Yes, it was a niche game and probably not up your alley, just like this channel where the game was played just because it was the new star wars game a not because the youtuber liked flight sim games. Its ok to have niche games. The golden era of star wars games had many of those. If we only look for what's trending we will probably get a pseudo fortnite soon or whatnot instead of some5hing proper for starwars, like the new call of duty dinosaurs or whatnot. Edit: squadrons lasted a lot thanks to its niche and passionate fanbase, similar to the loyal fans of battlefront 2. Also, both games suffered the same fate, being live services that didnt produce money, they couldnt afford infinite developer support, and they died shortly after their last updates. People obviously look at the next new game if one of their favourites remains the same after a few months, no matter how good it was.
@@tiborsramekhell nah, I've just played Squadrons half a year ago with minimal HUD( so you got all ingame info only on your monitors) and on the 2nd hardest difficulty, both combined it came close to being a simulation. BF2's space battles even though they feel good gameplay wise, they still are casual and really simple compared to Squadrons.
Yeah everyone is complaining on how she looks and the price. If I get it I'll only get the gold ed. Not gonna get the ultimate ed. The Lando outfit looks stupid. I really just t want to be fun to play and not preach to me about how men are bad etc. I play games for the escape and fun. Don't do like Spiderman 2. That game was a total letdown.

i disagree EA's bf 2 is boring just bcs of all the starcards and keybinds. its way too complex for me and i prefer the og bf 2 10x times than EA's boring bf 2 not to mention the hackers in it...
battlefront 2 for me lsot interest to it very long time ago and now its cancer to play it now as every time i played it in normal matches was with hackers in them and the game has more server issues than any other game could have for connection now since every match i played from early 2024 i have had packet loss every second and even high ping which is not true in any other game and i almost all the time lose full connection to ea servers for the game as well so battlefront 2 is waste of time to play for me since its more of a waste of space on my pc now more than anything
Honestly everytime a new star wars game is released people always have to find an issue with it and then run it into the ground. People take games for granted so much these days. No appreciation at all

The problem with Outlaws is the fact that they made the main character you're supposed to be stuck with throughout the entirety of the gameplay ugly asf and have a horrible haircut. I'm sick and tired of game developers throwing woke BS in THE CONSUMERS face because of someone who doesn't even care for the gaming commmunity complains to them about "unreasitic women". If you're attracted to a chick with a large square jawline and a shaggy mullet good for you but nobody cares. It's been proven time and time again that people prefer to see someone actually attractive on screen whether it be a man or woman. then on top of this they throw a pricetag of 130 dollars at you for the "ultimate" edition when everybody knows they are going to add paid DLC later on that won't be included in the season pass, for the longest time developers have been releasing different editions of games with only like a 10 to 20 dollar gap in between the base game and the ultimate edtions. BUT AN ENTIRE 60 DOLLARS MORE!? That's basically theft dude. the only good star wars games to come out lately were Jedi: fallen order and Survivor. They cancelled The Madalorian which is objectively the worst decision they could've made considering the condition of star wars right now. probably not going to touch this game unless it hits gamepass.
Survivor was almost as bad as Outlaws is going to be. But otherwise I 100% agree. A few additions: Not only is the Outlaws woman ugly, it specifically looks like one of those disgusting new age california craft beer wimpy spoiled world-oppressing urbanites every sane person hates! And if that wasn't enough, who the hell cares about some hobo smuggler and her pet salamander? Contrary to woke opinions, making her female doesn't make her better. In fact, since we live in an age of forced representation that the left introduced, if the main character is not my own STRAIGHT WHITE MALE demographic THEN I WONT buy the game! Exactly what they claim they want I should do but in reality the worst that can happen to them! I won't let them make certain demographic features more important so I'm going to cling to the exact opposite of what they force. And to top all that off, if anything connects to the sequel trilogy then it can all give birth to a porcupine for all I care. Looking at everything diesney made in canon so far, Legends is still more desirable.
