It would be really cool if the ball in PONG is a wall that interfears with the normal Rocket Leeague match aswell as what it does now

Idea: 2D Rocket League in 3D. Your hotboxes are expanded to infinity vertically, so you can hit the ball no matter how high it is without aerialing or jumping as long as you’re horizontally aligned with the ball.

I love this concept and its cool having the pong players essentially be interference. But it got me thinking, it would be sick to actually just have a pong sized paddle still attached to a car but ditch the underground actual pong game and have the paddle be the height of the net and a little out from the back walls! Then you could basically assist in blocking from anywhere in the map! Could make for some epic clutch saves on some clangers! OOH or same thing but the paddle can also move up and down with cars in the air! That could be so sick! Love the video as always! Consistently great content!

when youre the paddle controller, it doesnt really matter where on the field you are so you could totally just go for bumps on the other paddle controller if they arent paying enough attention. pong with bumps. if players were to get good at this, that wouldnt really work anymore obviously since theyd be able to pay more attention to everything and even focus on the normal ball potentially too. i think if all players on the field had a paddle attached to them (maybe smaller to balance it better?) then it would be more fair and competitive and allow kickoffs to make more sense. and then roles can be changed based on what needs the most attention at any given time rather than only one player having access to play pong. it would make it easier to swap roles, but also give more incentive to swap roles more often so it may even be more hectic than before

map idea: a 1v1 on the field that dictates when the pong ball goes, and then whoever wins the pong 1v1 it initiates a 1v1 in every boost pad ( even the small ones) that dictates who gets that boost pad for the original 1v1, and every goal of every thing I talked about would be a 1 point goal, so first kickoff you only have the 33 boost you start with, and the points would rack up FAST.

Well by that extension, pong is just a 2D version of Soccer, Tennis, Football, Basketball, etc. I'd say tennis is the closest. Soccer/Rocket League changes angles and momentum way too much

I think it is on the map maker. The extra goal registered only because they watched the full replay. If you skip it, then there would be no extra point.
