Every time someone starts watching Naruto I cant wait until we get here because things get so crazy. For many people this is the peak of Naruto, and for me its the same. The buildup, the animation and choreography, the back and forth with powerups, the emotional beats, the visual story telling, it all comes to a head here and becomes a classic of anime.

This arc is straight gas. Multiple deaths, Gaara turning to the good side, Rock Mf Lee with his drunken fist, and now Sasuke vs Naruto 😭 flashbacks to my childhood rn

15 years later and Naruto still gets me teary eyed

'Just shut up for once! what the hell do you know anything about me? It's not like you have family in the first place! I'm suffering now because I have those ties! How on earth could you possibly understand what it feels like to lose all that?!' Those lines hurt so bad 😭

That shot of Naruto running full speed into that giant fireball is one of my favorite scenes in the whole series, its amazing. Also nine tails VA is godly.

poor Naruto he was so devastated, finally he heard the words from Sasuke and its under these circumstances :P this was an epic start to the fight, the end with Naruto channeling the Nine-Tails was just amazing :) also loved the coloring with Naruto orange and Sasuke purple as he was holding him :) now it truly gets intense, high octane fighting, Naruto with the fox power, Sasuke fully evolved his Sharingan getting the 3rd tomoe, what a beautiful spectacle, not much to say just sit back and let it work its magic :)

Man i remember losing my shit when i first saw Sasuke unlock his complete Sharingan. If there was any power I'd want from Naruto it would definitely be the Sharingan (and subsequently the Mangekyo Sharingan.) But yeah this fight is so peak. Especially when Naruto uses the 9-tails cloak. Such good memories from when i saw this as a kid.

Wow this fight is even more epic than I remembered! As for the concept of Garra he made several comments in the Chunin Exams that he could see in Saske's eyes how much alike they were at the time. Something you need to understand about Garra is that we saw in his backstory that he was not natually bad in fact when his family tried to kill him he said that they didn't have a choice and implied that he was going to forgive them. It was only after it got really hammered into Garra that he was never loved and could never be anything but a monster that he became fully convinced there was no life for someone like him except that of a monster. However, like Saske just said when 2 high level ninja fight they can read eachother's hearts and minds so it might be cannon that characters saw the same flashbacks we did. Naruto even told Garra he know what it was like in that dark and lonely place. Garra's entire behavior was based around him getting conviced he could never be anything but a monster and that you could only become strong fighting for yourself. But then when he saw into Naruto's heart and realized that there was someone like him who wasn't a monster and that he became strong fighting for his friends everything Garra thought he knew was proved wrong. So really what you said on Twitch about Garra not even knowing who he is now as completely true. For the 1st time Garra realized he can choose who he is and so it actually makes a lot of sense that Garra has gotten even more quite because deep down he is still so confused and doesn't know what he wants yet.

I think back to when I 1st watched this anime ( it was on anime network and right after it ended Bleach would come on) and how i debated to myself which was better/my favorite. This fight between Naruto and Sasuke ended the debate for me!

yeah this episode is so exhausted to watch but the same time it's so good, cuz the battle is just not straigh the battle, but this battle is about friend wanna take him to back to the village i can't explain to much but this is so good episode

Episode 133 is my favorite episode of all time.

I absolutely love the brutality of this episode, at two points. It doesn’t linger on it for long, but after after Sasuke quite literally breaks Naruto’s neck with that tombstone attack, he *pukes* after realising what he just did. He’s a 13 year old kid who (thinks he) just murdered his best friend in a disturbingly violent way. The second is when Naruto punches Sasuke immediately after that. This show doesn’t often show the physical pain characters are in, not in a human way at least, but after that punch directly to the mouth we get a second of Sasuke on the ground(/water) just *writhing in agony* and *screaming*. It’s disturbing, but somehow real.

Bro sasuke dog walking Naruto in base needs to get talked about more. He even pointed out that he wasn’t even using his sharingan when he was beating the crap out of Naruto lol.

21:05 this is such a fine detail the show has. It shows that sasuke actually does care and was assuming all those were shadow clones. As his attack was very fatal even naruto was shocked. Sasuke didn't expect naruto to be the real one on top taking the full fire damage.

Most important line 'high level shinobi can understand about each other through jutsu clashes.' This fight has so many epic moments 1 Sasuke combo 2 Naruto missiles 3 Sasuke acting high on drugs after unlocking 3rd tomue(its important that Sasuke unlocked 3rd tomoue during the fight with Naruto after knowing Naruto's feelings) 4 Naruto chain 5 Sasuke epic piledriver (don't worry it was filler to enhance fight) Sasuke: why would you go so far Naruto for me? Naruto Ans 1:one kiss is all it takes Ans2:because your my friend Sasuke:gettung friendzoned If only either Naruto or Sasuke one of them would have been girl it would have been best romance and Kishimoto would have beaten the allegations of writing bad females😂

The Naruto clone chain was pretty fun, wasn't it? Also the Naruto-dolphin school was pretty amusing. This is the climax fight of the original series, and it's completely iconic. It's also close to the very end. Shippuden is near, though you've probably finished things already. At the end of the series, I always think about how tragic things were, that Naruto & Sasuke didn't have enough time as friends. If you think about it, they were in class, they had their first mission, they then entered the exams, then the Leaf attack came. That's not a lot of time to get to know someone. Naruto was too afraid to talk to Sasuke, when he was younger. Imagine if they had been able to become friends, then? Circumstances were cruel to them. There are more good parts to come. I look forward to the start of Shippuden. It's a whole 'nother ball game. It's bittersweet, because so many good feelings came from the original show. So many experiences were had as well. It's always a mixed experience moving on to Shippuden, and knowing that the first part has been written & the chapter closed.

Can't wait till you see shippuuden. Its deeper, darker, osts are better. Its naruto but much better. You're gonna love it.. and gonna cry.. a lot.

So not to spoil too much, but you already know Shippuden exists, so... the weird animation happens, because the director of the anime wanted things to "feel different" when the fox demon starts taking over. It was his way of trying to show the Kyuubi has so much power that it distorts reality.

Sasuke had no one to help him evolve while Naruto had the legendary sage to train him and kakashi is nothing compared to the legendary sanin while Naruto had the legendary sanin to train him plus the Ninetails Sasuke had to leave to catch up to Naruto or he would have never

Same bad animations faces were on a war and we expected much more,stil it was a great fight. This fight is really good but it has to come to an end,sakura for now is like Gween Stefani,IM JUST A GIRL,haha,she has some habilities yeah but useless in these fights,but don´t worry,she will get there eventually,trust me,hope you watch eeeverything because in some filler episodes you will see characters that if you skip those fillers you will not know where they come from or what they did.

Though I enjoy reading chat during the reaction, but the jokes and general hate towards Sakura can get old pretty quickly tbh lol

a few episodes earlier, Itachi took out Sasuke with a few kicks, and then they broke the cliffs with his body and nothing. The Uchiha only won because the plot needed it.
