@@FingerBreakerWu yeah they never reworked it or anything. Which you'd think would be easy for them to remaster it with all the original source code. Alas... we depend on the fans to deliver the goods. This is now one of my favorite fighters to jam on! Cody is a BEAST! Thanks for watching man!
Not really, the first original Street Fighter game was simply called "Street Fighter." This, however, is "Street Fighter One," a MUGEN fan game based on it.
I’ve wanted a remake of part, one with playable controls. and combos for the longest time. This literally looks like a dream project. Congratulations on finding this, or creating it.
I remember messing around with this years ago. Was pretty fun. Pre-Street Fighter Cody was also a very nice touch. Only funny thing was the default health/damage levels were a bit off making rounds end in timeouts often, but at least you could adjust them in the options. Very nice showing of the sauce this game has.
@@brunop.8745 People who aren't complete vid scrubs know what it means. It isn't neutral, btw, it's a specific state of interaction between the two players, and you vid scrubs misuse it because you're post-09ers who watch streams instead of actually playing the game.
Since you brought a exception with SF1, make another exception with Street Fighter Zero 3 Mix, this version of SFA is 3x3 and have parries for all characters!
Yes, a lot harder. They pretty much have to be frame perfect AND you have to use negative edge which is pressing the button, doing the movement, and then letting go of the button.
Yes they were much harder than SF2. In SF1 days complex inputs in games were new and not yet perfected. You had to toggle the joystick perfectly, whilst there were only 2 buttons. One for kick, one for punch but the power of the punch/kick was dependent on how soft/hard you hit the button so it was random what power you were gonna get. SF2 functioned so much better. I still however loved SF1, there was nothing like it at the time. I managed to work out how to consistently do a hurricane kick and that move would just beat everyone hands down except Sagat. Capcom mad sure that you could only beat him with dragon punch (because of the lore) which I could never get out consistently enough so I never clocked it.
Street Fighter arcade cabinet had very large rubber punch and kick buttons that you had to smash! So fun. It kinda blew our minds backs then. That was before this version though. I remember the moves being very hard to pull off as a kid .
Yeah, the OG Street Fighter aged terribly, but it paved the way for SF2, which paved the way for everything else. SF1 crawled, so SF2 could walk, so that everything else could run.
This is why the first Street Fight must make a comeback with all other 1987 Street Fighter opponents with the new Super Street Fighter 2 finisher combos. Even greater than I expect.
Man, I remember playing this on M.U.G.E.N a few years ago. Street Fighter ONE was an impressive and fun project and it still is my favorite project as well! :D
believe it or not, this is desk's hardest combo video of all time, if you dont believe me, try and do a simple hadoken or a tatsu on this game for 10 times in a row. lmfao
I used to play this MUGEN religiously 5-6 years ago, and to this day, it still makes me wish that Capcom would actually go back and do a full remake of SF1. Imagine getting the same cast with a fully fleshed out moveset, maybe sprinkled in with a few new characters for extra flavor, some fast gameplay mechanics akin to the Alpha games, remixes of the music based on the superior Turbo-Grafx arrangements. *sigh* We can only dream.
Only things you missed was the run infinites on joe and retsu, doing lees dash punch and dive kick mid screen and gen jump kick follow up after his spinning lotus good stuff love it when i know all the combos before i see em lol
I am a big fan of how Ryu and Ken are basically the sole survivors of this game and are STILL the life of the party in the newest Street fighter somehow it hits me really hard in this video.
Well Sagat, Birdie, Adon, Gen and Eagle have all survived on in other SFs to but yeh I get what you mean. Ryu and Ken are and probably will always be the face of SF.
Very cool fangame. I just think they shouldn't have made the hit and super effects to be SFAlpha Style. It clashes with the SF1 Artstyle a bit too much imo
Is the video title a reference to the announcer line in Street Fighter Zero 3? The super flash also seems to be from the Zero series (level 2 super flash)
It's crazy that someone took one of the most memed on fangame engines (M.U.G.E.N.) and made what the AVGN called "Street Fighter: The Good Edition" with it.
Allow me to explain, SF Alpha in Japan is called as SF Zero, they choose anime aesthetic style because people in Japan love anime, yes there's SF Alpha 1, 2, 3 and then they released this SF One SF One is mark for their new approach and try to sell SF One overseas, that's why they choose realistic aesthetic and ditch the anime one, it continues in SF2 the World Warrior, some of super move that already included in SF Zero is also applied in SF One Sadly this version is not going well in overseas, so they ditch super move to make it closely with their realistic aesthetic in SF2 without leaving their anime root, that's why you still found hadoken in SF2 😁
Capcom: For our next project, we need to remake Street Fighter. Any ideas?” *Desk releases the blueprint for FREE* Capcom: Prep the jet and Cyber-Ninjas. We need to make him an offer he can’t refuse.👀👀👀👀👀🔥
