I work at an Ollie's, this crap hasn't sold, at all. We have 2 whole end caps consisting of Marvel toys with tons of stuff scattered around on top of that. There is basically a wall of eternals disk launcher toys that hasn't budged since before LAST Christmas. I keep telling my boss that they need to dump it all in a 75% off bin just to give a chance of selling.

This happens with female WWE wrestler dolls as well. They could sell them pretty easily, if they just stylised them in a way that young girls would like, but that would require admitting that boys and girls are different.

At first I was like, "How the hell are they still doing the Force Link gimmick?" Then I realized that figure is from like 8 years ago.

Suggestion: Build a diorama with all these character lying knocked out on the ground and Heather Swain standing victorious on top of them!

Back in the day, toy manufacturers would purposely make only a limited run of female action figures from even popular movies and cartoon series, knowing that the female audience was pretty small and that boys did not want to play with "dolls". I remember when the first Fantastic Four movie was released, the entire run of the Invisible Girl action figures got snapped up by collectors right away. That made them almost impossible to find anywhere except on Ebay. One of my friends wanted the entire FF team to give to her grandson for Christmas and ended up spending over $100 for an Invisible Girl to complete the set.

Tbh, the Sue Richards fig is actually decent...unlike the others. Normies just have no context for but her.

I had high hopes for Ollie's, but since they opened in October, they've had the same picked over "graphic novels" section since the first week of the place being open. Was just there yesterday, in fact.

We've got an army of female action figures, too. Just come to our table at any Comicon where we vend. The only difference is, our female action figures are all well-made toys from the 90s, and they're hot. Come meet She-Hulk, Power Girl, Thundra, Xena, Painkiller Jane and Lady Death at our booth in 2024! (And, of course, all the original lovely superheroines in our comics, as well.) I tried to add a more recent toy to our display, but the Atom Eve figure was poorly made for some reason. I hope all the Invincible toys aren't like that, because it's a great comic and deserves some quality merch to go with it.
