I wish to see impmon with his partners Ai and Mako older alongside the rest of the cast. This was my dream when i read rumors of à sequel, but sadly, it Was canceled after the director said that dont like political correct ideology
Nah, taking in count the writing of 2020 was complete and utter trash, I don't wanna' see Toei ruining tamers with a Reboot/Sequel. Plus, after what happened with the recent Tamers CD Drama of the story's continuation, I kinda don't see a bright future, Konaka really made a mess writing that CD Drama and throwing in a few "personal thoughts" on it . Even though everything he wrote in the very end turned out to be true ( they did try to cancel him for literally talking about cancel culture in the CD Drama ), it kinda didn't seem like the story was going anywhere. So , I think they should just try a different and new approach, who knows, we might get a Digimon Savers sequel.
I'd personally like to see like a sorta hybrid of Tamers and Ghost Game. The more mature story with otherworldly horrors from Tamers mixed with the urban legend/ghost story type spins on Digimon would be amazing!
Totally agree! 3D models being used in mostly 2D anime always work best for me when there is some kind of rationale for WHY the 3D character looks slightly off -- in this case, them being androids! Cheers Karn
The VB BE’s in Great Mission are called Chrono Bracelets and if Great Mission was a Digimon anime what partner Digimon would the characters have, the main character Sawyer in orange looks like he could have Coronamon and the pink girl Luna could have Lunamon. Two things I want see a Ghost Game sequel and a Adventure 2020 sequel starring Ryo and Monodramon.
So you do watching this new anime as well, it was pretty interesting to me because it based on the big variety game show on Fuji TV, which shared the same name and playing irregularly since 2004. But the anime added some sci-fi & mystery element and survival genre similar with "Squid Game" or "Hunger Game", but no blood or death. I recognized some regular VA from the cast, most of them came from 2020 and Ghost Game, VAs for Espimon(Haru), Emma(Runa), Devimon(Shoemaker), Yamato/Matt(Satoshi), and Jellymon(Harvest). And main protagonist Souya is voice by Naruto's Shikamaru's VA Shotaro Morikubo.
I would love an anime that has a digital world like Witchelny the magic/fantasy world that wizardmon is from, or they could use Illad the Greek/Roman myth inspired digital world. I would be fine with a Digimon Tamers sequel that still uses inspiration from Chinese folklore.
I'd love a Witchery season! I could see MedievalDukemon guiding and training the kids. The lead would have Blucomon. The "Matt" would have Impmon(line would be Impmon-Wizardmon-Mystymon-Dynasmon). The Girl would have the Witchmon line. The smart one would have Socerymon's line.
...Funny you should say that, considering Digimon Dreamers effectively involves Witchelny as a major plot point. ...Just don't expect it to be grimdark and realistic. Digimon Dreamers is meant to be a Comedy.
@@Victor-056... Just don't expect it to be Witchelny. It's full of digimon, with zero Magical Witches characters. I like Dreamers, but the writer clearly doesn't know the lore of Witchelny and just assumed it was from digimon.
Sounds like fun. I'll check it out. Also would it be funny if they get to like episode 15 and a random Digimon appears as one of their obstacles and it's never mentioned again like a "That was weird" moment. With the VB and main character wearing goggles there's definitely some Digimon DNA in the show from what I can see.
Bandai basically owns this time slot. They prolly have the majority market share in Shibuya. There's even monsters and they're retooling their vital bracelet. As such I expect a Digimon crossover.
Maybe it's because I've been playing The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero lately but I want to see a brand new Digimon show but one that revisits the early premise of Savers though maybe taking some cues from the Cyber Sleuth games. Specifically I want to see a Digimon show about a special police unit that's dealing with Digimon related crimes. The Cyber Sleuth games provide a rough framework as having the Digimon battles on the net instead of in reality gives a lot more flexibility and provides a way to keep it connected to the real world.
Hey yo that could be hard because I mean we know Digimon has always been darker than the pokemon anime so I'd love a darker esc data squad type of show where they solve digimon related crimes maybe some with human accomplices attached to them as partners and maybe after each case they arrest the human accomplice before sending the digimon back to the digital world I think that would be better version of what early ghost game was the whole mystery detective element but y'know with an actual through line of a structured narrative instead of most of it being self contained adventures imo I think that would be hard ASF if done correctly
it's actually a really fun show and i def think it's gonna have multiple rounds considering how many runners keep getting out in each episode, also the art for it showed his brother in a run for money-esk outfit so i assume he'll become a participant at some point as well, def gonna continue watching it
Oh man, I would KILL to see a second season of adv 2020, one that wouldn't have the development issues/covid pandemic that the first season had to struggle through.
Honestly when I saw the premise for this and read the summery I had written it off as an anime that I wouldn't like. But now that you've analyzed it and gave your thoughts on it, I'm intrigued and curious about it! This season I'm not watching any anime honestly and catching up on some old shows that I let pass me by for various reasons but definitely adding this to the list now.
It really feels like this show was intended to be a Digimon show the characters look the part I could imagine a plot like this happening in Digimon too but instead the kids are teleported to the Digital world and evil Digimon or something else puts them into this sort of tag game and some of the kids end up teaming up with Digimon who are friendly.
I'm not familiar with Run for the Money, but your analysis reminds me of the video game The World Ends With You. Players team up and have to defeat monsters and complete missions, while surviving 7 days. This also takes place in Shibuya. The catch is all the players are dead, and are competing to come back to life. Hal hacking behind the scenes also reminds me of a character who did the same thing in the sequel game. Not sure I'll watch, but I will keep it in mind.
wait what, i see a watch from Digimon Ghost games, they used the same design as from Vital Bracelet (Ghost games) but its Green version, since there red and blue version. the green version is shown on this new anime.
at the time i'm writing this, the RFM anime is on it's third game. located in london during the 19th century and there's been a bit of conflict between sawyer and his brother after the events of the second game (wich was located in Edo japan) UPDATE: (AND SPOILER WARNING. . . Now for the London game the playerw were given some sort of animal-spirit based power. activatd by their chrono bracelet. and the activation sequence just SCREAMS digmon tamers.
I’d like to see an rpg that more closely aligns with the shows values. Cybersleuth and World both have these mechanics that strip away digimon identity on digivolution with its ladder setup. If you start with an agumon you can change it to a gabumon with enough steps and not even realize you’ve done so when you have 30+ mons in your bank. Digimon world 3 was the last rpg I enjoyed because you knew which Mon was which and they went back to rookie form after each battle just like the show which really cements their identity despite still having access to every digivolution given enough time and effort. I really prefer that method for partner digimon rather than the up and down ladder design of modern games
Japanese entertainment: we have anime, manga, tokusatsu and cool gameshows like what this is based on. American entertainment: we got politics and hbo velma. Take it or leave it. Uk: we got football, nandos, beer and oh blimey ah been stabbed again. Time ta make an appointment with the er. Wont be for anotha 3 months but its free innit cant complain.
this show would be an interesting premise for an actual digimon series. Imagine the contestants using digimon to bolster escape techniques or having to fight boss digimon while on the run
i hope the monsters become the more central focus of the story revealing why they exist in the first place and why the agents in black are here in the first place to begin with
Oh my God, the main character's name Tomura Sawyer friggin' killed me LOL; beyond the Mark Twain reference I was listening to Rush earlier today... modern day warrior, mean, mean stride; today's Tomura Sawyer, mean, mean pride XD
I just want a modern reimagining of the Tamers, it basically set up how I and many others view Digimon partnerships and one that continued unto Digimon Xross wars and Hunters. Personally it feels way more inspiring having characters who CHOOSE and were choosen by the digimon rather than being destined for them like in the adventure seasons since the partnership feels more like.... A partnership plus the use of digimon cards as power ups was a banger of an idea that they could pull off now due to the TCG being very well recieved by the fandom. It would be a banger to see Megidramon's evolution plus we might finally get the lore of the Digital Hazard in an official capacity in the season where the MC has a connection to it since personally the hazard is much more interesting than the X-Antibody whixh has been used way too many times now for it to impact me
I really enjoyed this video. Just found ya on my timeline. I always wondered what happened to digimon since I haven't watched any since 2018. I loving the sound of this anime a lot from what you described. Might have to give it a try. Last digimon I watched that was fun was digimon data squad.
Ok I’m think this hooking me up. Just because main character, is big brother and have little brother. Which isn’t a lot. It’s usually big brother and little sister. And sometimes makes it creepy.
I have been watching On the Run: Great Mission for these past few weeks and so far it's fun. During the game, each episode has a main task with a smaller time limit than the great mission ( the 2 hour one) that has to be completed. For the hunters, the game workers did mention that hunters are androids and they are also like terminators in a way. The main characters I'm rooting for are Sawyer, Morris, Luna, and the Tanukiman.
To explain, the tanukiman would be revealed in the end of the 5th game and playing without the suit on the 6th game. Out of suit, they wear a brown hoodie with the fake tail attached to the hoodie. I doubt its furry but more of the asthethic
Somehow I find it super funny, that I become a fan of a japanese game show through a Digimon RU-vidr. XD After watching this I started watching the Anime and that got me interested in the actual show that the Anime is based on, so I started watching that as well, and omg, I LOVE it! (I never thought I would like a japanese game show, but Tousouchuu/RFM is just awsome! 😂 - And in return it made me appreciate the Anime more.) So, thanks for the recommondation. I mean, it wasn't really a recommondation, but ... thanks anyway!
Kind of sounds like Bandai's own version of TWEWY (The World Ends With You) Just without the Noise But the hunters definitely seem like a more active version of The Reapers
The original digimon were good as they were they didn't need a reboot but I am loving both I have the original digimon downloaded and get very nostalgic 😭 watching it I didn't know about ghost game will check it out
Damn I might check this show out. Though much like you I wanna know how many episodes in full the show will have. I don't think I have the energy to juggle another 30+ episode show with my other 30+ episode shows like Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Precure, and Yugioh.
I hope the next Digimon goes back to having a plot. I was really hyped with Ghost Game when it started as it showed a lot of potential, but around the 27th episode or so I realized the plot was just *not* going to move forward, and I dropped it.
Im pretty sure the story is about Blsck suit people looking for a strategy to beat the catastrophe in the origin world. Thats why some black suit people saves the contestants So if someone beat the game, maybe there's an item or device where they can go back in time to use the strategy to beat the catastrophe Or just thats the original world, that all the contestant trying to save (but the host faked it as a hologram or just a game)
The show that is most digimon to me is Blue dragon 2007 anime . It abaut 6 children that have mostrer partners as there shadows and they use there powers to fight evil . It s basicly digimon . Also I woud love to see second season of adventure 2020 . adventure 2020 has more stories to tell for sure . Ghost game was a wasted potential of what coud have been the one of the best digimon anime .
seems like an easy guess that the contestants are not actually in a simulation, but rather actual earth or time travel to end up trying to save it from the monsters, would explain the hunter saving them
I almost skipped the show, but knowing that the Digimon cast is behind it, I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the heads-up. Also, I'll give my theory about the plot, since it's the only thing I do in your comment section: this "game" happens in actual Tokyo and the monsters are real, that's why the men-in-black "save the racers". Also, the game is a way to finding who can reclaim the earth/fight the aliens/monsters.
1. bael- the firsts principle spirit is belle of the east- invisible ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨✨ this is his character which is used to be worn as a lamen before him who calleth him forth or else he will not do thee homage.
well this show is made by toei like the digimon anime series so people that worked on other toei series like digimon will naturally work on it but ya this show has been quite fun of a watch so far i'm looking forward to see where it goes
I would love like tamer o2 with Suzie (goggles head) mako and Ai as the main cast. Maybe age 10/12 like the original gamers cast I can't be the only one who's thought of that
It seems interesting, but one of those series that may need to see more than one episode per week. So slight binge, but it seems that it could have something interesting happen to it.
This new series with a dystopia feel to it reminds me of Yu-Gi-Oh VFRAIN. Yu-Gi-Oh VFRAIN IS GREAT! THE MOST ADULT Yu-Gi-Oh Series in recent modern times.
Looks for me like a contination of digimon ghost game. Gullusgammamon told about a being eating whole worlds and the monster looks like it will evolve till it eats earth. And it also looks like some monster (not neccesarily Digimon) out of digimon franchise. Even the maker of the game told, that it's a rumor ehat really happened. I thibk, that like at the end of ghost game suggested, some human went to the digital world and did cut the connection between digital and normal world. And digimon obviously went all back to the digital world. Thats why: A: The human dont have any digimon, but have some sort of a digivice. Maybe the character will get some digimon like powers. But thats just a speculation atm. B: They do not know digimon bcs they are the grand grand grand sons of people who knew digimon and they forgot or the information went extinct what rly happened back then. C: They know that an evolving monster attacked. So some human were able to escape and here we are. Maybe they try to prepare the citizen, bcs the monster will at some points be big enough and attack them. Some extre thought: I think its a fun side project for the people who work on the digimon franchise. It woulf be evrn more fun for digimon fans, if this would be canon in the digiverse. I think it can fit in the main story aswell.
I mean, anything is possible with timeframes in animé. 45 in universe minutes were spread out over 20+ episodes in Dragon Ball Super. Animé is surreal. Lol
I watched three episodes and will probably watch more of my fav episodes but I’m not planning to cover it since it’s the same show I covered already at the end of the day
The Digimon anime is the only thing that made the shows better than Pokemon until Digmon Xros Wars, which was the cause of the downfall of making one bad Digimon show after another. What I think the writers should be doing is improving the characters and stories and stop bringing back Adventurer several times, that includes its sequel, and come up with something original with better stories and characters. What they should also be doing is creating new Digmon shows with some new gimmicks like armor and fusion evolution, new final forms in their mega forms, etc., just like the other show that came before it. Also, making a continuation from the other shows like Tamers.
I would like to see a new original season as well that isn't based on Adventure in a way. Plus, I also wish that this new season would also focus more on character development or have something relatable to the audience since recent seasons don't focus much on the family or include most of them into the plot. While I want to see different and new gimmicks, I highly doubt Bandai and Toei might implement them if the season that focuses on it fails expectations given their reluctance of past experiences. Plus, they might have to resort to using the old nostalgia card if the franchise is not doing well, which has happened the past 2 times.
@@jackycheung2781 I think they should come up with something more original that no one has ever tried before, like the concept of Ghost Game, but instead of having it a light horror/slice-of-life when it's more for children who are in elementary school that never watched any horror shows and movies in their life. The show was a complete waste of time, and the main characters are the laziest protagonist in the franchise. It was so rushed, and there was no plot line, character development, or much of a story. The show had some potential in its concept and its characters, only to do nothing with all that by the end makes it all feel like nothing but a waste of time, which it is. This show would make more sense instead of making a show for little kids who never watched Digimon or any horror. It makes more sense for this show to be for older audiences like us. Also, instead of being a horror/slice-of-life show where it mostly goes nowhere, it should have been a horror/detective shows like Bungou Stray Dogs, Death Note, Black Butler, Monster, Psycho-Pass, Stranger Things, Ghost Hunt, Kamen Rider W, and its anime counterpart called Fuuto PI because those shows are a perfect example of mixing things with having the monster of the week formula with some plot and character development. Not to mention having it as a detective show, the writers can put more effort into the story instead of what we have. It was awful for the writers put so many unanswered questions and so many mysteries unsolved in a poorly written way of the show. Honestly, any fan can do a better job than the writers and producers in the entertainment business just asked Disney and Warner Brothers, who sucks right with their political identity crap.
@@magnaknight9252 I see. I would like to see something new too, like with Ghost Game. As for Ghost Game, I would rank it as a mid season where character dynamic and motw are fun for me, but I do agree that character development and plot pacing is where the show lacks. The main characters remain static throughout the season and we never explored some of the characters' path like Ruri's interests or Kiyoshiro and his chuunibyou persona. We never got to see them interact with their families too. Also, the side characters are shafted because they never got to be part of the main group or know the Digimon. These are the qualities that Appmon handled more properly as that season has character focused episodes that tie into the main story and some side characters that are involved in the main group like Ai and Hajime. As for GG's plot, it's like Hunters but longer in terms of pacing.
I want y'all to think about this right we was watching humans and a Digimon World basically coexisting right but nobody never asked the question what happens back in the real world when they go back and leave the digimons and then this show happened get it did you figure it out👌💯💯💯💯💯💯💣
It’s my theory that has no evidence it’s just wishful thinking that the digimon company is slowly putting an end with each Digimon franchise. Last evolution kizuna ends adventure, the beginning ends 02. So after that we will have a movie that will put an end to tamers and then frontier and then dats squad. That’s probably not happening but I can hope!
Who knows? Maybe after ending each series original continuity, they'll try to reboot each series like they did with Adventure to see which one sticks lol
The premise of the show doesn't interest me at all. But because of the Digimon connection (which is only in the staff and not within the show) I might check it out some time lol
