Right off the bat I thought about putting 2 wendigos and a dirty tree(tc electronic integrated pre amp mode) after into my invective mh return to get this tone.❤😊🤘
Don't ever apologize or make excuses for mic'ing your glorious Mesa OS Straight God-Cab. I'd love all of your videos to be ran through it as a reference at the very least!
People complaining about the price forget that this is the only amp with all those features for that price. Fully analog as well. Go cry about it or save some money.
I really wish there were more amp builders that were actually trying to do *new* tones *, would be actually really benefitial for metal in general edit: *Like this
@@TaylorDanleycouldnt agree more mate. Ive got the medusa pedal and if the thought that has gone into that is any indication, this amp is bound to be a gamechanger. From Aus 🤘
Killer run-through, Taylor! "Forward thinking" is exactly how I would describe the Prometheus too. And what I know (and have seen) from Daniel is that he's always a step ahead. Very well thought out and crafted circuitry. He's a wizard. I need a Prometheus!
Great stuff, finally Lichtlärm provide information about it on their homepage. I wanted a SLO 30 as my next amp but this is actually not more expensive and seems more flexible, maybe i'll get one later this year. When the defeat thing is midi-programmable this could be insane with switching between amp's preamp and floor preamps.
Where were these amp builders in the late 90 to mid-2000s, back when we had to travel with amps and cabs. Now cities make us play before 10 pm and turn down our bands everything that makes a sound. It's a killer amp.
This amp has soooo many amazing features!!! ❤ this video!!! You did such a great job demo this, the way you fast forward the tone knob adjustments blow my mind, great idea. And made easier for me to tell the Tonal swing off the knob/pot!!!
I love this generation always talking about the weight of equipment. I'm 56 and still playing on heavy ass gear. Its called heavy metal for good reason. Anyway, it sounds good and all, but it looks like you should stick some rabbit ears on it and dial in a TV channel. For this younger generation. I am not speaking of pink bunny ears.
Had the privilege of playing through this for about an hour at Lichtlaerm HQ a few weeks back and I can 100% vouch for this being the best high gain amp I have ever played. It is amazing.
taylor is that the tube combo you’d recommend? 2x EL34 / 2x KT88 it sounded really good and your pedal sounds awesome too! very cool to collaborate with a company like this one
It's the combination that we recommend! If you don't need that much headroom for low end stability with extended range we'd say 4x EL34 will easily do as well! But any other combination is possible and will give you slightly different results :)
HOE-LEE, SHIIIIIIIIZ! Yeah okay so, clean channel? Very cool. Design philosophy? Really cool but you can dial in a lot of tones for the chugs! Cool amp dude
This is so sick. I don’t need that kind of wattage but so good! I hope he does a smaller stripped down amp. Or even a straight up single clean channel amp for pedals. I’m so curious to hear his cabs/speakers too,
@@danielringl8501 I would be interested in a version that I could play at home without deafening myself (all rig, no gig) but had feature parity otherwise. I imagine the MIDI stuff would be the biggest cost savings if removed for the smaller version though. The preset feature is so cool!
@@subterraneanguitartech yep - the MIDI, big & customizable power section (that needs these enormous transformers) and the gate are probably the things that cost the most here!
@@danielringl8501 Do the MIDI presets only affect switches/channels or are all the knob position/values preserved as well? Pretty insane if so...pretty much at feature parity with modeler presets.
Only the channels, voicings and features (loop, gate & vintage/modern) - we looked at different options of making potentiometer-settings storable but they all came with massive drawbacks: zipper noise, digital interference, jumps when turning the knobs or being just unreliable / prone to failure at higher voltages. There is a bunch of reasons why we decided not to do it in the end - and these reasons seem to be the same why you don’t see other amps that have these features making the waves out disappearing from the market after a short time!
If I could get one of them lets say 900-1300 Id be all up over that & P3ned it & have it at my Hizouse slammin and grinding the mighty riffage & ballbusting vibes . I like the colors/
Iv found eveen on an amp that doesnt have that growling lowebnd, My Mrx 7 band Equalizer fixes that. Its really not that hard to get really good aggressive tones with a little trickery & pedals etc.
3500 usd. No thanks. I'll stick to my fender mustang that was just over 500 bucks. Tube amps are ridiculously expensive. Solid state can replicate the sound 95%. That's God enough for me.
In the end and maybe there's no end, they put an high gain amp with bass and headroom, lack since 1991 and the death of VH140, GX130C, PEAVEY EVOLUTION..... and there was no tubes and sound a lot better dry than any 5150 and recto.. for massive metal tone with bass and hearoom mtfk
Great amp, but may have missed your majority viewership with the price tag. All im saying is, plug ins are cheap and with 3500, im getting a reverb bump with a cab and some pedals 😅
It sounds great but the price is ridiculous unless you're rich or making money with it. The best guitar players in the world haven't used it so I don't get all the hype. 😮
sounds too hairy and loose. I like a tight gain for precision and clarity to cut through the mix. Does sound better with the boost pedal. Can't wait for you to announce that pedal already.lol
Just know those speakers have a lot of high end but they sound amazing when blended. Obviously you don’t have to because they sound amazing by themselves
We have the same decibel meter. The best part is putting it in front of the speaker to see how loud it is on your mics. Anyways, that amp rules. And I also love all the quality low price stuff your channel has introduced me to. Keep up the good work.
Them decibel levels though lol I have a JP2C half stack and I can’t sit as close as you are to that thing. It’ll take my head off, sounds great down low too though.
