i fucking love arma reforger. PLay it nearly every day and its a blast. I hope they fix the servers and some other bugs but other then that its amazing.

@@vikinghammer87 That is just objectively false, the game has dozens of full servers 24/7 and consistently has 3k+ players daily on Steam, plus many more on console with crossplay.
For real on dragon rising I use to make one of my 3 squad members stay at a helicopter on the last mission and the ai actually flew that helicopter and picked me up why cant ARMA do dat?😢
I remember playing arma 3 using a mod that used my voice to run the in game ai controls since it was always weird trying to selected a squad using the numbers above the keyboard
The main thing holding back this game for me is it’s the only game in my library that won’t run on my basic system settings. In order to get the game to run properly I have to open up BIOS and completely alter my system settings just to play the game. Then reset them after I’m done so I can play my other games.
@@Danlovestrivium I have a Ryzen 7 7700x CPU and an AMD 7900XT GPU, I promise it’s not my system. If anything it’s probably my internet since I’m forced to run off wi-fi but even then I can play Arma 3 and Squad no problem.
there is just something so strange about hearing that a Bohemia game has AI that can drive cars and follow orders. We were doing that in OFP in 2001. I know Reforger is them working the kinks out of the new engine to get to ARMA4, but it just feels a little bit strange hearing about it as a major feature.
As an Arma player, the easier access of the game is not necessarily a positive. To me it just adds a bunch of 5 YOs who love to team kill and run around aimlessly.

I just think that Arma 3 is the best game for me. I know it's not the main game on the channel for you, but I thought it was a funny message from you. Otherwise, I wish you many happy hours played in the new Arma game.
It isn't stated anywhere in the roadmap or changelogs that the AI can fly. They aren't meant to, they can only use the gunner's seat on the new armed helicopters.
the game looks beautiful now.. but i cant find any nice scopes to my weapons..i still dont understand to read the map with compass,to find my enemys..just driving around and find very little enemys..other then that,i love what this game is about..i just need to know how to navigate..its abit boring when i never get in a fight. i been trying out the sp mission,but cant find any players on the mp..what am i doing wrong? xsx
idk i tried it again after a few updates but it just doesnt feel good to play this ..like how you move ,how firstperson feels , the inventory is also such a fucking big turn off for me
I think the fact that bohemia interactive has finally allowed for console players to be included with playing an "ARMA TITLE" , even if it's just Cold War era content with having to depend on shifty mods that dont seem to work a majority of the time from my experience that is , but either way Its great 👍🏻 thanks bohemia , also it would be sooooo super appreciated if we could have some modern content in reforger for game master and such. As its such a hassle to try and get a controller geared up on pc to play arma 3 for those of us that cant comprehend keyboard and mouse gaming . Any combat game that comes out like actual military style shooter has mostly been in hustorical eras its getting tiresome
where is the campaign system map ? Where is the real time strategy map with divisions/ regiments, with areas with towns, etc that could make this game even better ?
The Arma community is a bit older I think and less competetive. The less competetive a game the less toxic it tends to be. Squad can be a bit competetive in a way Arma is not especially when its pve. As soon as you go PvP it tends to be back to cursing and such.

Half the time the servers that have these mods (where's the one for the AH-1F?) also have all the modern tacticool shit that I just don't have much interest in. They also tend to break after patches. I want a coherent 1980s theme packed with all the cool shit from the era.
@@MerrStudioARMA has PVE and PVP. Reforger has two main gameplay modes. The PVP mode (which can also be played in PVE I think) is Conflict, a mode which has US and Soviet forces attempting take and maintain control over key points on the map by expanding their radio comms network and establishing supply lines (the latter is directly controlled by players). The PVE mode is Game Master. If you are familiar with dungeons and dragons, you'll understand this one right away. One or more players are voted to be game masters with the ability to place enemies, vehicles, props, etc. with the objective of simply creating engaging PVE operations for the rest of the players in the lobby.
Thats an exaggeration. They worked fine enough for opponents in Game master, its just that now they can be made to show up by vehicle, like a BTR or truck.

Feels like they downgrade the graphics, it kinda looks weird now, characters look blurry, and graphics in general look kinda blurry, map has changed, inventory menu changed and feels weird. Constant FPS drops (fps drops never happened to me in previous updates, only in modded or custom maps) , aiming at multiple enemies or moving objects horribly drops the FPS ( that didn’t happen before) . I play on Xbox series x The blurriness doesn’t go away even if I change graphics settings to high
Yeah I quit playing it on my series s and swapped to pc I swear right as you get in a gunfight the frames just drop and you can’t do shit on the Xbox s
@@majorborngusfluunduch8694 low resolution, low framerate. Barely hitting 60 let aöone looking good. Ive seen it run on series x and it doesnt even look impressive there too. I guess its one of these play on pc or never.
How do you manage to miss the fact that Reforger AI never were supposed to and never will fly helicopters? Its always been stated as on road ground vehicles only. At best AI will be able to take over and hove when a pilot dies but they can't even do that right now as flying AI is completely out of Reforger's scope.
That king of the hill server seems to have the worst hit reg i tell you hwat but all the other servers seem great as long as you aren't haveing internet problems while you shoot
Still a lot of basics to fix, unfortunately. Server browser, stability, AI, gunplay etc. But yeah, they've come a long way by systematically adding and fixing features from previous games into the new engine. The game doesn't 'feel' as crisp as previous titles but we cant have it all. My gripes with the menu are because they are making it controller friendly so likely worthy trade-off.
isn't this just, a bunch of shit we already had in arma 2 and 3 for like, literal decades? like pretty sure the AI has always been able to fly and drive in those games, why is this video worthy? Or even at all news worthy?
I actually don't like the new UI menu. But I do like instead of equipping etc etc for a scoope. You just hit use and it comes together 🤷♂️. Easier so it's growing on me
No one seems to be talking about it but none of the mods are working and no one can stay on a non-official server for more than 30 min. Mods are what have always made arma the best and unfortunately it’s dying without it 😢
It’s still needs a lot of work. The AI would get stuck or drive you into trees while it decides to take a shortcut. Command wheel is still lacking. I hope console isn’t going to hold back ARMA 4.
I’m confused, cause Bohemia and everyone I know has said that they cannot fly helicopters (ai) and honestly I don’t really see how it’s the best one ever the AI can barely even drive. I’ve still got to barely work it’s worse than arma 3, optimization still seems to be the same seems to be no difference, seems like the coolest thing was commands, and that is completely pointless foe 90% of people cause we all play online… not with bots
@@lucasstchur5441It works just fine on my Series S. Its no more busted than what PC players have to deal with. Give it a shot, its a real blast once you get immersed in it.
@@freddyrock just so many keys it’s easier to use a keyboard. I bought a keyboard just to play it because controller is just so not user friendly. although driving is way easier on controller.
