Good to know, I was looking for a controller to use on my pc that could be used for fighting games but still be used for sandbox and 3d games

you can actually use it for fps. with motion control it's really cool and good you can look it up

First comment answered my question. I am looking for a pad for Tekken 8 mostly. I have Vitrix, Dual Sense Edge, and two Hori Pads. The Hori pads and the Vitrix seem to have horrible lag, at least for me. The Duel Sense is responsive, but I hate the D-pad. How is the button response or lag?

I'm glad you enjoy it! I'm gonna try Sony's new "pro" controller when it drops, but I feel like besides build quality, they'll be very comparable.

@@SaiyaRanGaming the xbox controller feels somehow more ergonomic after some period of usage because the handles are outside towards the side, whereas the pro2 and others from other brands, aswell as grips from different brands, all seem to have the handles inwards. Its weird but that small detail makes a ton of difference ergonomics wise. See both the Playstation official controllers and Xbox's official controllers, have their respective handles spread towards the sides.

I was using a DS4 and switched to 8BitDo myself! I didn't like how bulky the DS4 back button attachment felt

I should say that the bluetooth connection is an issue. I can use my logitech controller from 20 feet away, I just hope that the bluetooth connection doesn't suffer from dropped signals or impeded view of the receiver.

I liked the Sony attachment cause it's an easy solution. It's kinda bulky but I've used it for months with no complaints

You can use it with a type C cable to everything except the mobile devices!

@@SaiyaRanGaming Yeah man, get it how you like it.lol. I bought mine for retro gaming. I also got the amazing Retro-Bit Sega Saturn wireless controller with dongles. It's gonna be awesome for Sega games

they do have a 2 Xbox branded controllers, but they're both wired. They cost less than this one though. I haven't used the macros for much unfortunately

So jealous you have a steam deck! Does it work without booting into Windows mode?

I don't know if there is exactly, but it's at least 15 seconds from what I've seen. Timing has to be manually entered tho.

if it's this exact same device you have to switch the toggle on the back to "D" and then turn on Bluetooth on your Android phone. It should pop up as "8BitDo Pro 2" in your Bluetooth listings once you've made your Bluetooth discoverable. Sometimes I have to switch it to "X" for Windows, hold start to cut it on all the way and then switch back to "D" for Android, but either way works

the Pro 2 cannot wake the Switch and as soon as I got the Ultimate, I never looked back at the Pro 2. It's THAT good imo

Yeah it's a great size for traveling

I haven't seen too many people have durability issues but I have seen them offer replacement parts for free if it's in warranty. Some people in the comments have stated that as well

@@SaiyaRanGaming yeah, but even though they have warranty, it's troublesome enough to wait for shipping and open to replace, it's still bad as the root problem is their material quality. My Xbox one S controller I've been using it for like 5 years now and it only have some problem with LB button sometimes not work properly, the material and the feel when pressing button, the material quality still almost perfect

I have issues about that too, but with Sony... My brother has a dualsense and the R2 button got too loosen in months. It activates with nothing ;;;; I wanna buy a controller that's cheaper but can be used for casual gaming... Would you recommend this one or maybe looking for another one? (maybe this one is too high for me haha)

@@KiryuuCami the cheaper controllers indeed will feel... Cheaper, the accuracy, the feel of the analog will be different, material quality too. Recently another great 3rd party controller is the Gulikit Kingkong 2 Pro controller, with improved buttons durability and no-drift magnetic analog, but it doesn't support PS4 and the price is about the same as 8bitdo tho. It has amiibo, wake up, gyro, sensitivity settings, rumble settings, and more... 8bitdo still have better D-pad and easier to configure buttons through it's app, while Gulikit natively setup all of it's features with it's own buttons combinations, they both are the best 3rd party switch controller right now I think

no! It has a nice almost matte plastic on it, but even with my kid's greasy hands it doesn't get super dirty lol thanks for watching!

There's a toggle on the back of this controller. If it's already paired with that device via Bluetooth, just hold start and it'll work fine. You use that toggle to switch between all modes

I've actually not used a KingKong Pro 2, but if you want better accuracy with shooters, then I've heard the KKP2 is better because of the sticks. IDK how the d-pad feels though

If you bought this specific controller you don't need the dongle because the controller has Bluetooth built in for the different devices, but some of their other controllers require a dongle.

They don't have as great of a travel distance to me, but if you like it, I love it.

Do you mean the switch on the back? X is only for syncing with Windows

You can use it on mobile too. And it's mobile app can change button mapping through Bluetooth itself. Hope they bring this feature in Windows too.

I've never had an issue with this personally with my 13 Pro or my iPad Pro. It might have been one-offs.

Yes it does work with M1 iPad Pro. I don't know about Diablo because their app page doesn't say controller support. Sometimes apps advertise it, sometimes they don't. All Apple Arcade games use controllers tho.

@@SaiyaRanGaming thanks for your reply! Been thinking on buying a 8bitdo controller, but I’ve been reading that after IOS14 they aren’t supported anymore with Apple products. Even in their website they don’t mention IOS compatibility. By the way, Diablo immortal says and it has controller supporter, but on their list it doesn’t mention any 8bitdo :(

@@Lakaizinho 8bit do pro2 supports xinput, dinput and switch controller inputs. You should check what kind of input does iPad supports, if it's any of the three, you can set the mode in controller and connect to device.

unfortunately I don't have windows 11 and I don't know if the controller is compatible with W11 because of how funky W11 can be. Can anything else connect to Bluetooth on your PC?

@@SaiyaRanGaming yeah so I did end up getting this controller.. I used the Kontrol Freeks performance thumb sticks that I had for my ps4 on the sticks to improve accuracy.. you’re right.. they are very very slightly too big.. but it does work.. I’ve found the right stick stays on perfectly but the left stick one will shift out of place if I’m doing some vigorous movement. Still a great controller overall though! I love it!

Were you specifically under the Switch controller settings? Also make sure you save that change to the correct profile and that you're on that profile

Yes! As long as your PC recognizes your controller you can use it for Xbox Cloud.

@@SaiyaRanGaming For me, the excellent soft sticks outweigh the limitations that the DS3 has. But nothing will fix mediocre sticks on 8bitdo pro2.
