I accidentally had a crossbow and HMG combo in one game and I was pleasently surprised how well it worked together. My build was Eagle 500kg, OPS, orbital gatling, supply pack, crossbow, shotty pistol, incindiary grenades, and stim booster. I picked up a HMG from an ally.

Yeah, these changes to HMG were a game changer, from near unusable to insanely fun in 1 patch.

I actually like the grenade launcher now too. I played heavy machine gun and it was fun. The changes have been good, but the patrols are pretty insane

The new update made so many builds viable now mostly because we have less titans to fight so it's more about being able to handle chargers. Stratagems alone are now enough to handle the titans most of the time. One extremely mobile 'do it all' build I like is: - light armour - Pummeler + Nade pistol + Incendiary Nade - Supply Pack + Railgun - 500kg + HMG emplacement 500kg can be substituted with OPS. The HMG emplacement allows you to one clip shrieker nests and multiple spires across the map and functions as a trash clear tool around objectives. Just remember to hop off as soon as there is a titan or charger so it will not get destroyed. The build allows you to run around at all times, Pummeler stops even stalkers on their track. Nade pistol for closing holes, Incendiary nades for trash clear and closing holes. Railgun in unsafe mode for opening charger and behemoth legs, brood commanders heads, hive guards and spewers because with a supply pack you can use it as much as you want. Pummeler and nade pistol both can finish off a charger or behemoth leg. If you absolutely have to you can kill a titan in a minute with the Railgun but mostly it takes only a few shots to finish off a sub optimal 500kg/OPS.

On bugs, I think if you took the MMG over the HMG that your TTK doesn't suffer and you have more gun time. On bots, it's HMG all the way.

Okay the slower rate of fire for the HMG on bugs seems really effective. I use HMG mainly for bots, but Ima have to try this. Also the crossbow along with the resupply backpack really suits the medic armor types (Im all for lore builds).

I use Eruptor, Bushwacker, HMG and stuns, HMG is the ‘primary’ and if I can’t find time to reload then I use the Eruptor with the quick swap cancel to rapid fire it as my second primary I use orbital barrage and precision strike along with supply pack

I rocked HMG with the Eruptor. Kills hulks in 4 shot to the head, AOE to kill 4 troopers at once. I haven't encountered any gunships, but I think those are tougher.

I use this kind of loadout on the bot side and it slaps. Small shotty, Crossbow, HMG, Supply pack, Eagle airstrike, Orbital laser.

Banger update really went out with a bang.

so difficult to aim with HMG for some reason..not shooting things when aiming with the reticle, very frustrating

Not really for helldiver difficulty, But I can recommend the combination of: Light armor, Shield gen, Eruptor, sawed off shotgun, Archthrower, Stun grenades, Precision Strike, Napalm Strike, You're kind of a 1man diversion army that goes out for any objective and bugnest without their team while they do something else. Pretty fun loadout I think

That cluster at 09:30 wasn't your teammates fault. It got knocked out of his hand when he was hit with the bile spewer artillery. Now I have to try the hmg build

Why don’t you pop bile sack with crossbow? Makes them super vulnerable to damage and is easy to do before tossing stratagems for 1 tap rail cannon or precision strike. And she can’t spit

That stim booster (if you stim enougth on a whole mission)can defintly replace the stamina booster over time

Tried to close bugholes with the crossbow yesterday. Did not work at all 🧐

I still prefer the eruptor for bug hole closing. I think it’s too risky to go inside the perimeter of a bug nest to close it.

That hunter near the end just aim bot and fly straight at you even with the speed buff. 🤔😮‍💨

Mine precision stike is not precision... sometimes shoots 10 m away in different directions

Crossbow...the only primary that can close a bughole!? GAME CHANGER! Eruptor and crossbow still need another buff really. Let's not talk about the crashes that happen 13 seconds before extract.

I HATE Eagle Cluster.

The game feels awful with so many hunters and charger behemoths. I just dont like it as much as before..

game is dead. snoy killed it. friends list is gone. they could release a cure for cancer and id still give it a negative review.
