Been running flame thrower on bugs since they fixed the DoT bug, it is amazing. People were always surprised at how fast I kill chargers.

Yeah I love it... after it's finished charging at you. Literally light em up for 3-4 seconds and they just slump over. Even vs behemoths same thing since armor isn't a factor

@ctse26 the few days we had before they nerfed fire damage after fixing DoT was funny, you just touched chargers with the flame thrower and they died like we're a flame hulk.

It's only because we've tested it on stream and eventually we realised that everyone is more effective running whatever the hell they want. Ultimately, the way you play around your armor's speed is what really helps you survive most missions, so we basically just advise everyone to use whatever they feel is best since it's legit what we do anyway haha

By the way, I remember seeing a video of someone basically explaining that fortified (explosive resist) for bugs is great because spews are explosive. Haven't tested it though.

We have tried it and it absolutely works. It assists in resisting the spews and the explosive artillery from the butt. However, we just have other preferences for armor. Give it a go for yourself and see if like it or not.

Meta is just a concept mate. Every game will have metas or best builds or best whatever. It is silly to avoid it out of spite or some personal feeling. Meta is literally just a concept that asks "what is the most efficient way for me to absolutely annihilate my enemies"

Blitzer/Flame/Eagle/500/Alternate between Gas/Shrapnel/Birage. Definitely grenade pistol. Alt. between impact fire grenade and stun. I pick no stun to change up the fun.

This is my load out right now minus the supply pack (I shield generator cause I suck). That said, I am so scared that the next patch is going to nerf both the Incendiary Breaker AND flame thrower. In fact, I can almost guarantee it.

I think Arrowhead understands that they cannot nerf anything right now. If they do so, their playerbase will simply drop further. I'm not worried because I've got plenty of upcoming games to keep the content rolling. As for the shield generator, keep practicing and watch how we play on stream. You'll stop needing it soon enough

My stratagem loadout is napalm airstrike, precision strike , flamethrower and jet pack I feel like ammo is not as scarce as ppl would say imo, but I like the jetpack for its mobility to get to the bug breach and seal it with napalm then flame it all. As for the precision strike i gotten the hang of it in taking out of the bile titans and its unlimited uses anyways. Reason I didn't like taking the 500kg is the napalm airstrike, cause I sometimes forget to rearm them. Plus it looks cool from others players pov to see me going flying towards the bug breech with the flamethrower spewing as i land kinda like a assault class space marine haha

Ammo definitely isn't scarce, but sometimes you have to spam to counter. So rather than worrying about ammo management (and stim management) we just use supply packs. If you prefer what you use, go for it. In general you'll know if it's effective if you are handling Helldives without issue

@@RealAsianRobot true that, oh not sure if you tested this or have heard, but the new stim boost absolutely synergizes with the med kit armour passive to which you don't have to be worry about being roasted by your own flames haha cause. Supply Pack is much more for stims and grenades than it is ammo. The ammo top up is the icing on the cake.

Change the Gatling to Eagle Airstrike and u good to go, close most bug holes, blitzer is enough to deal with the mostly non charger non BT.

imma pass on the blitzer. its not bad but eh, the amount of times no matter what you do it zapping the corpses, or sometimes the range is so trash and the damage not worth it that it is not worth the stun and taking into ver anything else. Don't think its solid IMHO, I tried your loadout to see if I was wrong and the past 14 games it was just MEH, genuinely meh, cannot do much in helldive 9 or even suicide mission 7, you can survive but its not good, just alright

Blitzer, nade pistol, stuns/knife. Laser Cannon (Trust me) Laz Rover, Airstrike, Rocket sentry. Fear nothing, charge into the breach.

Try heavy butcher and you can tank for your team Use your flamethrower + supply pack to contain breaches hold the line along being in the fire 🔥 with the mobs Sustain by stimming, 1 stim = 5 seconds of regeneration Can be killed by charger/bike with instant kill hits

On bugs i usually Play around with servo assisted or extra stims. On anything lower than difficulty 8 i also like to use the new sets that increase handling and pair it up with something like a HMG.

Gotta love the flamethrower, but one issue I consistently have is not the spewers, but Hunters and Brood Commanders just leaping/charging through the flames not caring, easily knocking me out of position. Really feels like the Commanders especially tank more than chargers with the flames. For armor, +2 grenades every time. Gotta love those extra stuns.

Love this build, switched out the fire shotgun for the lightning shotgun just to stun stalkers as they're usually the only thing that can kill me when scouting in my light armor build. If I had a reliable team, I'd probably use this build but in rando groups I run solo scout and can deal with just about everything with the lightning shotgun.

I wish we had a training room to thoroughly test, but Arrowhead will have to implement that eventually I suppose. For now just use whichever armor has peeks that you like and that feels good overall haha

@@RealAsianRobot I use the SA-25 Ground Breaker set because I pulled lore out of my ass about how it’s a modified version of the basic armor set (looks similar) with servo limbs for SEAF army vets. Named my ship Claw of Science and that sealed the deal.

After trying it the I prefer this loadout with a primary that staggers. It also works by just swapping out the flamethrower for a GL and the grenade pistol for a bushwhacker. The secondary becomes your stagger for horde management, you still have a fire damage source, and the grenades work for their usual utility and to deal with the prevalence of spewers and bug breaches. OPS + 500kg work wonders, and the OPS can be subbed for ORC in the case of atmospheric scattering.

You can adjust to your own needs. But stagger is completely irrelevant even at Helldive difficulty (as demonstrated in our gameplay). You should never prioritize staggering a target over outright killing it. That said, if you feel that your adapted variant is getting the same or better kill times in Helldive, then by all means, adapt and adjust. Also just an FYI we simply avoid picking the Scatter modifier

@@RealAsianRobot completely irrelevant is hyperbolic, and your play on stream is typically based around an organized group. The knockback from stagger, used strategically, is highly effective on 7-9 difficulty. Especially after the changes. Most especially if you're pugging without a dedicated premade. I don't think there's anything wrong with your build, but I wonder why you're against diversifying your utility and damage profile given the flamethrower provides not only fire damage, but also benefits from the ship module buff. Final thought on the breaker: pellet spread on the incendiary can cause issues with friendly fire, so bringing something with range, accuracy and stagger works well for peeling.

@davidrowe5437 fair point. I just have not needed to stagger anything during my time playing Helldivers. But you are correct that mine is based entirely on coordinated play. For us we only prioritize the kill, stagger is only from stun grenades for crucial targets and never anything else. So if you feel that it is helpful when pugging then by all means, apply it. To me it wouldn't be efficient, but then again, I don't ever pug so perhaps there are situations I am unaware of

@@RealAsianRobot true, and also to be fair a fast, efficient kill play style with a coordinated group is peak gameplay. I don't disagree with the sentiment of "why X when you can kill it?" It's why I love the bushwhacker for the rare moment when you need to reposition a mob or stop a brood commander from advancing to hold a position -- not a big sunk cost as a secondary even with the loss of the very useful grenade pistol. I'm honestly becoming a fan of eruptor/bushie/stun/flamethrower because of the damage types, utility and ranges it covers. Thanks for the great discussion! Love the content.

I recommend the Rocket Pods if there is an Orbital Scatter modifier on going instead of the Orbital Precision Strike. With the scatter modifier, you might accidentally kill yourself with that 😅

Just avoid the scatter modifier. If you tend to quickplay and can't help it, then yeah, rocket pods or w/e will help, but honest to God, it's easier to just avoid the scatter entirely (which we do regularly). Scatter is just an ass modifier so good hosts won't choose it.

16 Bile titans is all I will say haha 🤣🤣. We all ran Quasars because of it. But now they've fucked up the Quasar (as per my recent video) on any planet that isn't cold. So I'm thankful the spawns are down kek

I thought it didn't stack either till I tried it and it appears to stack tbh. But we have no clear way of knowing without a proper training room. So try it for yourself or use a different armor set based on your preferences 😁👍

You can use what you like, but make sure your mission clear times are just as fast or faster than what is demonstrated by us. If it is slower then, your loadout may be losing efficiency in some crucial areas, so just be cautious about that when playing with randoms. If playing with friends, go nuts and have fun with w/e 😁👍

As a new player, is it worth running the flamethrower without having the Enhanced Combustion ship module?

Yup. It's still worth. It will do less damage but honestly as a new player you should be farming 4 to 6. Get your super credits, learn the game and also slowly get your modules going. The combustion only becomes important when you're doing diff 8 and 9, even on 7 it's BARELY important and I mean BARELY lol.

Probably personal preference here but I would swap either the orbital precision or the 500 since they are kind of redundant. Based off team loadouts going with some kind of horde clear orbital or eagle would be good and keep either the 500 or the orbital precision for titans. The only other change is the supply pack, it's a great pick but with the flamethrower I think more utility will come from the shield backpack because the flamethrower is inherently a close range weapon. That is just my opinion though!

You need 500 and precision for Bile titans. Horde clear comes entirely from breaker incendiary and flamethrower as shown on stream. Shield is also never used by most pro players as it's a completely wasted slot 😁. It's mostly seen as a crutch these days and it's okay if you're new to the game, but most players past level 50 will never touch it since it promotes bad habits (usually). I hope this helps to clarify why we have not altered our choices. For difficulty 9, these are the absolute ideals. If you're playing on lower difficulties, you can definitely adjust to personal preference or needs, but I seriously suggest never using the shield. It's a newbie pick and once you start getting those instinctive skills, you will do tons better without it

When I i throw the orbital precision the call in time is broken and most times it takes 4 seconds such as pre patch and misses the target

You have the operation modifier for 50% call in time. Please check the modifier before beginning an operation

Yeah you kill 1 charger doing that with extra effort. Flamethrower is much faster. So use the Quasar if you like, but comparing the efficiency of the 2 and with thorough testing, the flamethrower comes out STRONGLY on top. Quasar is great on cold planets now thanks to the buggy cd time tho

You can avoid them easily :), but call in delay is not too bad honestly and it's one of the easiest modifiers

If bile titan has it’s armor shattered the flame thrower is able to kill it.

Tbh even then you need elevated ground to even reach the shattered spot. You'll actually be more likely to kill it using the breaker incendiary haha

Flame thrower has just enough range to hit exposed armor spots from the ground. Not my go to choice how to deal with a bile, but this is still an option.

Need alot of premium warbonds🤣. I’m now farming for the incendiary breaker. Medic armor for me is really crazy. Makes me invincible I never die anymore and I’m only lvl 18 playing with people lvl70+ lol😂

You can farm super credits very easily, but yes, meta loaodurs usually require things from premium warbonds. I highly recommend farming some super credits when you are just starting with the game 😁👍

@@RealAsianRobot thanks! I’ve read into it and it’s the blue credit, I thought it was the yellow one 🤣. Earlier I bought 1 super credits pack and now have 2 premium warbonds and I want 1 more so now I know I can farm them instead of buying :)

@GamingPIPI you're welcome. I used to encourage people to buy the warbonds, but Arrowhead hasn't done a good job lately so I just teach farming instead. I'd rather people spend their money on keeping this channel in business ;). Arrowhead needs to improve a lot of things to be worth it unfortunately

Listen, meta does not ruin games in any way shape or form. The reason people seek meta is because they want the ultimate efficiency for their playtime. In diablo 4, everyone seeks the best build. In warframe, everyone seeks the ideal set of mods for each weapon. No game is ruined by Meta because the meta is simply a concept. It is simply what is efficient and if you dislike it or hate on it. That is a personal issue and you need to reevaluate why you have this issue

PS5 game is very buggy at the mo. FAO AH. The game so far as I've experienced it since Patch Tuesday gone now will no longer load the third mission when you Dive with a squad. It will load normally on solo. Which is very annoying when I squad player and not a dedicated solo player. Also if you have Randoms that have been really good to play with on the previous 2 missions they will lose out as the game has to be restarted allowing me to acces the 3rd mission and dive in solo and wait for 3 new Randoms to join which breaks up the game play quite a bit not to mention time. Just to be clear I am on the O.g Playstation 5 and I have cleared cashe and removed any previous clips or vids of HD2 and reset my License on PS5 and stopped the trophy capture system which does cause some games that have lots of updates to crash. This worked months ago when HD2 crashed like every other time or 30 minutes into a mission and just stopped.... Please AH look at these issues cos you give on one hand and break from the other...😢

You should report these issues via their official discord or directly to their support. They are unlikely to watch my RU-vid channel haha. That said, I have heard that other PS5 people are experiencing similar issues. I hope it gets sorted out for you all soon!

These guys know nothing..... The best load out for Fire and for Hellmire, the fire planet from hell is. The Med-Kit armor, Flamethrower, stim booster! BR-14 Adjudicator, impact grenade, grenade pistol, supply pack. With this load out, you can just run into the fire and not ever die. Orbital Railcannon Strike is needed.
