The only way Tank Davis loses at lightweight is if he fights another guy that punches like a middleweight. Martin was boxing okay but he was visibly scared. He was jumping at every faint and it was only a matter of time before Davis caught him. It wasn’t as competitive as it looked. Paulie mentioned that Martin was panicked and that’s exactly what I saw. You could see what Davis was doing, he was setting him up to get him against the ropes and unload.

Bivol is a tough fight for benavidez because he's technically good doesn't get hit much or had wars and he's got great footwork. Benavidez needs a few fights at 175 before he takes on the big boys .

Just like Garcia he was a 130 lb fighter who had never fought at 135 wasn’t allowed to have a tune up fight before fighting Tank. Pitbull Cruze won a title that they stole for Rolly , he shouldn’t even be the champion it was Barrosa that should have that title. Barrios was an interim champion Taylor was the undisputed champion at 140 at the time. You can lie to yourself alls you want but There is a reason they hand picked 8 straight flat footed Mexican opponents for Tank because they fit his style perfectly for him to get the knock out . Any time he fights any opponent that’s a 60-40 fight for Tank they need a weight stipulation on them 😝. But Loma was able to beat Haney who out weighed him by 20 lbs . Even though Martin has been cracked by Tank in sparring they still put a rehydration limit on him of 12 lbs 😝 he really did look like a ghost 👻and had no power at all . Embarrassing there is a reason they have kept tank away from the top 5 guys for 30 fights.

Benavides definitely needs to put on a bit more muscle to hang with the big boys at 175. The shots definitely weren’t affecting Gvozdyk as much as they should have, or maybe Benavides power didn’t translate because he had 2 injured hands. He later revealed that information after the fight. So with that being said we cannot make an accurate assessment of Benavides at 175. He needs another fight at 175 before he takes on Bivol or Beterbiev

The only danger for shakur is that gervonta’s counters are explosive and snappy, very hard to anticipate, he really have to be out of gervontas reach 100% of every second in the fight while punching .

Loma is not old at 36. Floyd was not old at 38 when he beat the younger Pac Man. Loma still one of the best in the business folks top 3 in his weight class. Lama will still dish out the business and you could see it in all of his last fights.

Gvozdyk has lost his biggest assets - his legs and his speed. He was a stationary target, he tapped away but he didn't seem to have any snap in his movement. He basically fought like an ageing fighter, conserving energy and blocking. Benavidez won rounds by being the younger, sharper, more active guy but he couldn't put a dent in Gvozdyk despite being able to hit him at will. Very unimpressive. He gets beaten not just by bivol and beterbiev but also by the younger dudes - Buatsi, Yarde, etc.

Why everybody keeps creating that narrative that Tank was ducking Lomachenko… Lomachenko did not want to fight Tank. He said himself that Tank hasn’t proven anything or some ish like that, go look it up. Also, Floyd was in charge of who Tank fought, now Floyd is out of the way you can see what Tank really wants. We'll just have to see, but I think Shakur will continue to work on his punishment game. I think he's very much aware of the criticisms and will improve on that aspect of his game. But I also really like what you said about how if Shakur does nothing but run, similar to his fight with Edwin De Los Santos, Tank definitely deserves all the love. I can understand how disappointing and unclimactic that would be, but I don't think that's what's going to happen. I truly believe Shakur is working on his offense. We'll just have to wait and see. Benavidez can no longer use his size as an advantage anymore fighting at 175, I don't see a world where he beats Bivol or Beterbiev at this point. Bivol is extremely sound fundamentally and Beterbiev packs too much power. - Good fight this weekend, regardless.
