I like the new headlights but don’t know yet how I feel about the stamped fenders. I like the flair in the previous years. I also don’t like the cylinder deactivation
BDS is top of the line no doubt. Mine has the Readylift 7” and is pretty nice too. If I didn’t have so much money sunk into my 2016 I would look at scooping one of those up. Town and country for the win!!!
@@drinkingpoolwater 6 inches isn't that big at all. And if you're an outdoorsman and are actually gonna use a truck for what it's for then 6 inches is really about the perfect hight. You can fit 35s and still have plenty of room to flex without scrubbing or bottoming out. You can put a little 2.5 inch leveling kit and fit 33s no problem. A 3-4 inch suspension lift is almost pointless. You can't fit 35s and it doesn't flex much more than your stock suspension with the 2.5 inch coilover spacers. You're kind of just wasting money in my opinion, but to each their own. Now I do think anything much bigger than that looks dumb on the F150. The F250s are a different story though. I think 7-8 inches on 37s looks perfect on the F250. I have an 09 Lariat 4x4 supercrew with a 6" Superlift on 35s with 20s and it doesn't looked deformed at all. Which a lot of it has to do with cab size in comparison to bed length when you go to lifting them.
Beautiful truck! I love the look of a black truck, but where I live (Idaho), it's nothing but a dust/dirt bowl. Five minutes after washing it, the truck will be covered in a layer of dust. The color white or silver are the only colors that hide the dust/dirt. The only thing I would do to a truck like this is install some 4.11's at a minimum if not 4.56. Anyway, nice work as always Town and Country TV.
I really like these videos, I like the southern hospitality, this guy seems like he’s the kind of guy you can sit down with and have a beer lol. I have a 2019 f150 xlt lifted with 35’s on mayhem 20’s RC 6” 3” spacers and tons of upgrades , you guys should add the putco led Ford emblems to these builds it’s a inexpensive outstanding upgrade. The tow mirrors are carry over, but ford changed the regular mirror's design for better aerodynamics. Just dumb. Love my regular mirrors height and width on my 17 . Got to sit in a new 2021 today, but could not adjust the side mirrors.. No key, but could adjust the seats! Weird.
Cost. Do the math. 500,000 trucks X $10.00 more = $5,000,000.00. None of the manufacturer's coat the entire chassis - frame, axles, suspension drive shafts, etc. At least Ford and dodge e-Coat their frames. It would be nice if Ford offered e-Coat, Powder Coat, CERAMIC Coat, Lizard Skin, etc. as an OPTION on the entire chassis and under the cab and bed.
@@15Jeep They are reducing production cost while raising prices. 50k for a new truck with surface rust is not life ending but no consumer wants it. Even if the number is 5 million, that is nothing to ford. Quality control over their competition would out weigh that cost instantly.
You guys do good work. I wonder, could you without negatively impacting the adjustable air ride suspension and magneride and such, lift a GM Yukon Denali Ultimate or Yukon AT4 or even the Escalade Sport Platinum say 2"s to get more road clearance, and add larger tires, like say 35's, but even just put the AT4's 20" wheels on the Denali or Escalade? I love some of the luxury suv's out there, just wish they came with more road clearance and larger, thicker rubber tires so were smoother rides and more capable on the often roagher roads of mountainy ski country where I live. My desire for that road clearance and the larger tires, plus that fold out flat work surface option in the front center console, is why I'm considering one of the F150 pickups instead of an suv. I wouldn't need quite so much lift as you did in this truck, would have loved it when I was younger but not quite so useful to me now at age 61, but still, awesome work guys. For me now, how about a 2023 Ford F150 Platinum, but Raptorized, levelled, a couple inches of lift, 35 tires, a bit of an offset with added wider fenders to line up with the wider offset, oh and if you all think it would be possible, changing the leaf struts to springs. In any case, too bad GM doesn't make a Yukon Denali Ultimate Raptor or Yukon AT4 Raptor, or Cadillac doesn't make an Escalade Sport Platinum Raptor. Or maybe Ford should offer an Expedition Raptor with that fold out flat work surface as an option. I've even thought how nice it would be to be able to plop down the luxury, massaging, reclining all leather seats of the F150 Platinum into a Raptor. I really just want maximum luxury in a spacious, go anywhere, any time, any kind of weather sort of vehicle, suv style especially. But dang, today's modern, luxury Ford Pickups sure are something, and do have their advantages. I am very much considering one. Just call me a dreamer. Love your work!
id be surprised if roush makes a super charger for this truck anytime soon. the internals are re designed. the oil pump isn't chain driven anymore. now its a rubber belt. this might be the new weak link in the 5.0 plus with cylinder deactivation the air fuel ration might burn up a piston now running a supercharger. just my thoughts but hope they make one
(4:58) Those plastic pieces on the rear are made to build up a massive wad of snow and ice to fall off in your driveway. At least, that is all I can think of.
I just got my 2021 Ford F-150 XLT and I’m really tempted to get the lift kit. Just how different will ride quality be once on the lift kit because I love just how smooth it rides right now.
Great video love the truck. I’m doing a lot of research for my 2020 f-150 I’m just really nervous on the lift. Do they all require cutting on the frame and is that a bad thing and will it cause me issues with my warranty and what heights require cutting and what do not. Thank you
Do these kits include extensions for the rear bump stops? It sure looks like that rear bump stop isn't going to ever touch the axle before the shock totally compresses or the leaf spring hits the frame.
Id love to do this to my 2021 but fear the electric power steering, electric brake and other electric gizmos (lane assist stuff) would freak out. Also I think for is experimenting on new IWEs on these new trucks.
That lift kit really sets off the F-150 does a lift kit affect payload and Tow ratings if so how much does it affect it and what is the cargo carrying capacity and tow rating for this vehicle
Very little, up to 6 inches generally doesn’t reduce it much….once you get into the SEMA show lift kits at 12 inches and up then yes it reduces it a decent amount. Up to 6 is negligible usually
It won't necessarily impact the payload/towing, as in change the factory ratings. However, the lift and bigger tires will "bog down" the motor/tranny unless you re-gear it or at least get a custom tune. The tires add a significant amount of weight and rolling resistance, which will impact your payload capacity (as in, subtract from the stock capacity or use up some of the stock capacity) and make the engine work harder due to the added weight. Additionally, having the truck sit up higher decreases the aerodynamics and increases drag, so you'll have to work against the wind as well at higher speeds. Now, some people say they are fine without re-gearing etc., but that will depend on where you live and how you plan to use the truck. If you live in "flatland USA" as I like to call it or basically anywhere east of the Rockies, you might not have too much of a problem in the short term due to the lower elevations. But if you live in the mountain west; oh boy, you're going to notice the loss of power. Off hand, I would subtract about 2k or more pounds off the maximum tow rating and 500-600 pounds from the payload. Another thing to consider with a suspension lift, is the need to have the lift components re-torqued every 5k miles. Most who buy lifts don't do this, but it is recommended. I seen in a previous video that you update the vehicle weight and payload stickers. I’ve got a 6 inch BDS on my 21 F150….how can I go about getting these kind of sticker updates if I go and get mine weighed at a CAT Scale?
Any weird front tire wear when doing the lift. I'm having trouble from my 2021 f150 with just the leveling kit. With the outter edge wearing like crazy. And the alignment is spot on along with tire pressure. 🤷♂️
@Robert Beverly with less than 20k on the truck and 10k on the tires and 2 alignments done after the leveling kit and tires was installed. I don't think a tire rotation was the problem. I seen another Ford ( same body style as mine ) with the same wear pattern. 🤷♂️

I'm in the market but i want my truck to have 37s but I will be towing some smaller trailers in the future and im stuck between a f150 and an f250 or the ram 2500 mega cab and not sure wich route to go any suggestions?
Blocks are not good. Contact Deaver Spring in California for custom made rear leaf springs. Deaver is the supplier for leaf springs on the Carli suspension systems for the Ford Super Duty trucks.
If you go over the price at least highlight the costs of upgrades. Give people an idea. If TC Customs sells stuff at reasonable prices + labor be proud of not being a stealership. As a guy who never lets others turn wrenches on their vehicle, I'd consider something like this if the price was right.
If you really want the OEM tow mirrors for a Ford F150.....you have two choices. 1. NEW ------> For the BEST PRICE on OEM Ford parts contact Gillie Hyde Ford in Glasgow Kentucky...OR...Fairway Ford in Ohio. 2. USED - Be PATIENT and check salvage yards for almost new OEM tow mirrors. LKQ is a big salvage yards in several states.

However, my reply was in reference to your question to T & C TV ---------------> "Can tow mirrors be a add-on, if the truck comes with the standard mirrors?" The point I was making is the standard OEM factory mirrors on an F150 can be replaced with the OEM factory tow mirrors for a lot less than $3,000...and there is two ways to accomplish that goal. Most Ford dealers charge full retail price for parts and accessories. However, there are a few Ford dealers selling parts and accessories.....at a considerable discount on eBay and Amazon. I have purchased both Ford and Jeep parts and accessories from 7 - 8 different dealers on eBay and Amazon at a greatly reduced cost.
