I never left mind pump video without like cause They deserve ❤ by providing all the knowledge for free which I couldn't learned in PT Certificate Course.
"Informer, ya' no say daddy me Snow me I go blame I lick he boom-boom down" A total blast from the past. I had completely forgotten about this song and had to pause MP to go listen to it. I remembered it immediately. Thanks for sparking the memory.
Winner Winner! Please email Ann ann@mindpumpmedia.com with a screenshot of your youtube username, winning episode number, and the email address you would like the program under and we will get you hooked up!
I love all the mind pump episodes but with being a father of an infant and toddler right now hearing all the dad stuff is great and I will being Sal step to try and pivot my social media to be more benefit than some toxic info. Keep up the dad talk guys I really look forward to it!
Best podcast ever I look out for your videos everyday. I have lost 15 pounds by taking your advice. A full time mommy of 4, in school with a full time job but I try and find time and take as much advice as I hear on this show..thank guys so much for this amazing podcast..
I did notice the affects of ashwaganda but I took it for awhile and stopped noticing affects. The same with pre workout. I have to switch them up. This was a great episode talked about alot of great topics.
I agree about the DB pull-over. I wasn't surprised to see the DB pull-over as part of one of the ATG knees over toes programs to improve shoulder mobility.
Doug - the sense of smell is one of the strongest catalyst for recall. Or so says a psychology textbook from back in the school days. But I find it to be true too.
Hi Guys. I’ve been listening to your show for last 3 months. Every night before bed I listen to an episode I missed. Your guys give out the best nutritional information and workout info in a easy to digest way that has turned my nutrition around 180. I have more energy and mental clarity than ever. I’m 48 male transforming my dad bod and feeling amazing. Strength is up and my macros are dialed in. My goal from you is eat 156-185 grams of protein w/out any protein powder. I would have made these gains w/out you. Also Niacin is in my daily vitamin. Keep being yourselves you are so smart and funny. I appreciate you guys
90’s country music hits my deep in the heart. Tracy Lawrence, Billy ray Cyrus, Garth Brooks, George strait, the Dixie chicks (before going woke). Reminds me of family vacations and care free life. #90sKid
Been following you guys for about 3 months now and dived deep into the old episodes! You guys kept me company on two 9 hour drives this last weekend 💪 keep up the good work.
Most people don’t know that caffeine doesn’t “give you energy”….it does something g to the brain that literally “makes you forget that you are tired”…..pretty wild. Andrew Huberman talked about it. I started taking ashwaganda recently and notice more calmness (lessens anger), I sleep deeper and also dream super crazy 😂
Interesting takes on the girls in sports! Love to hear the discussion. About 20 years ago I played Pop Warner football with the boys from 7 years old until 8th grade where I played in Middle School. I was always very comparable athleticism wise because Pop Warner was based on weight levels. Even attending football camps I was winning first and second place ribbons consistently year after year in different breakout events (passing, agility, punting, kicking, tacking). I was always the starting Fullback and middle inside linebacker. Once I got to middle school, everything changed. So at about 12 years old, the boys all hit their growth phases and at that point I couldn’t dominate against them anymore due to size, muscle, and athleticism. Same with baseball, around 12/13 the boys started to dominate past me hitting and power wise. Good topic! I listen every day starting my mornings off.
I can't say it enough, i love you guys! Mind Pump is the best podcast for fitness, health and just all round a great time! Thank you guys for everything!
Sal! We have the same taste in workout music! Specially the Rocky sound track. I remember as a kid watching the movie, didn’t matter which one. And afterwards wanting to work out.
This is sooo interesting. I’ve been taking magnesium l threonate and ashwagandha to help me feel calm and a cup of coffee before my workouts and it’s been great. Im definitely going to check out this preworkout.😊
Micro-dosing is the best gift one could ask for. It has so many amazing benefits such as eliminating anxiety and depression, improved mood, addiction, opening of the mind and lots more
All the nostalgia!! You made me miss the days of sitting on the bleachers for 8+ hours watching swimming, gymnastics, and wrestling competitions. With my last one out of the house, I didn't know what to do with all the extra time.
So true Sal. Thinking about all the chaos that was going on when my kids were younger reminds me of how much time I wasted not spending more time with them as kids.
I've coached literally thousands of kids ages 4 and up in calisthenics, strength training, parkour, martial arts, and obstacle courses and work out of a gymnastics facility. Gender doesn't seem to play much of a role until around 13 and even then girls are often stronger, faster, and more skilled than boys. The majority of our advanced students are actually girls, too, even though our program is predominantly boys. Also, I totally hear you guys about the music. For me it's not just songs, but entire albums. Totally puts me in places I grew up. Music is wild.
Never used a pre workout in my life. Simply come home have a coffee relax . Then get my mind focused on the session I have planned . I'm also focused on being ready for events that have a date to be ready or at the best I can be
Thank you! This is such good advice regarding the need for focus-boosting properties in pre workouts. After all, a preworkout’s effects last long into the workday! Why not get something that boosts your performance at work too (beyond your work-out)! 💪
The way these guys form episodes around whatever they're marketing is genius. They do it in a way that doesn't feel abrasive. And they give information leading up to and around the product so it just fits right in like the advert is a podcast. From a business standpoint, I'm digging it.
@@MW2BoosterControl Totally agree. Most of the time you can answer the topic prior to even watching the video, especially if your a frequent listener but recently it just feels like their topics are to match some product they are partnered with and pushing.
@@MW2BoosterControl definitely. But once it gets to that point you just get used to ignoring the products and paying attention to the information, or sometimes If it's a product you think you'll actually benefit from, you end up researching it and finding an better alternative.
@@cman5337 agreed. That's where some of the initial thought/comment came from. Viewer me has been getting annoyed sometimes but business me totally gets it. The good thing about it is sometimes it leads you to a better product that you hadn't considered if you're someone who researches instead of just buying things cuz a RU-vidr has a discount code. Def how I started considering purchasing an 8 sleep
I absolutely love listening to you guys! You always have a great combination of useful information, great random conversations, parenting stuff and keeping us up with the AI stuff…for those like me that want to run in the opposite direction, at least I have the info you all share bc I love your content so much I just listen to it all! 😂
Justin is so right about Cyndi Lauper songs! I’ll be at work when one comes on and I get crazy nostalgia about The Goonies and my childhood. Admittedly super weird as a man, but true nonetheless lol
34:27 YES DOUGE that happens to me! never told anyone because why would I?? so I am not alone! especially when I was meditating I remember those things.
Useful information! I might go back to the pre I was taking that had lions mane, etc. I switched because of price of course but you get what you pay for!
Speaking of the show Silo, gotta read the books. At least the first one, a 50 page short story called Wool. Mind blown. If you really want a thinker, watch Devs.
Cool channel... Just started watching you guys, I use Gorilla Mode, has been really good for me. Good focus, no jitters. Do you think the L Citrulline aspect of pre workouts is not important?
I don't regularly use pre-work out, but was thinking about building my own. Caffeine, creatine, and L-theanine for sure. I'm wondering how effective beta-alanine is (aside from the itchiness), as well as HMB especially in a cut. I'm seeing mixed results in studies.
I’ve been using non stim for a while and like it a lot better. I start my morning with caffeine, adaptogens and lots of shrooms, and don’t like more caffeine in the afternoon. Will you come out with a non stim version?
I need to find something different like this. I first used pre workouts from Walmart that got me super focused but I didn’t like the stinging from the beta alanine so I stopped taking it now I drink an energy drink beforehand.
I’m curious what y’all’s thoughts are on IF for your cut season. I watch the interview with Thomas, and I have been following him for a couple of years. I know he usually does IF every other day and eats at his normal normal caloric intake on off days. If doing IF every other day at 500-1k deficit 3 times a week and then just eating at maintenance, can you lose fat without risking metabolic slowdown doing it that way compared to what Adam usually recommends being a 3 week cut to 1 maintenance week? Typically, I could IF during my weekdays easier because I’m so busy at work and just eat at maintenance to reduce the temptation to snack compared to a 500cal cut every day. Thank you.
Currently running MAPS split and love it, only concern/ question is on the dead lift days it has me doing the crunches and what not last. I tend to find my lower back is just toast, any advice or should I just reorder it?
Bring back ephedra! Those were the good ol days. FDA did a lecture in a food science course I took many years ago. They talked about pulling ephedra and admitted it was simply due to public outrage and not because its dangerous. They said the people who died had preexisting conditions and were taking like 10x dose.
What do you guys think about kava drinks for relaxation? I know you all work with NED but as a law enforcement officer CBD isn’t something that’s approved. Any thoughts or companies to recommend?
So apparently Niacin isn’t super recommended anymore for lowering cholesterol because it increases the risk of diabetes. I imagine a skinny fat dude with a low chance of developing type II diabetes can benefit from it but I imagine most people who need cholesterol meds are also at an increased risk of diabetes.
Wait, thought everyone is like Adam in the way they remember their memory? Don't most ppl have just a few specific memories within long stretches of blank from their childhood? For me the blank goes all the way through early teens too
I have social media but only following pages and people who provide value information from fitness, science, etc unfortunately if there is no good information in social media is because of the demand...so sadly is a sign of the global interests...
By the way an specialist have recommended me hormonal replacement treatment but I'm not convinced I wish I could have your thoughts on that!😢 I'm from Barcelona Spain and I'm shy to try a real call with you!
Love the show but the the family talk is definitely boring and feels a little staged. It feels like a tactic to get the viewers to connect with you which feels a little fake.
