I agree with you a billion percent. I have the same experience with you. In 2016 my Father passed away n I had to fly out to Gambia right away, then a former friend of mine whom I haven’t seen for 14 years from when I last saw him while in the Gambia for holiday in 2002. So to my surprise he came to Coco ocean hotel where I stayed for 7 weeks n after feeding his Ass he then opened his dirty mouth telling me I have to buy a house instead of staying in a hotel. I have 7 houses that my sister rented out for me to expatriates were my total earning is in millions a years. If we Gambian don’t stay in hotels owned by Gambians then how are we contributing to our economy.
@g24tv4 well if you r paying taxes for all those houses u r already contributing to the economy, he is a good friend giving u advice because most semesters rent because they have no place to leave or r ashamed of their family home but things r improving now

I look at it this way, at an emergency trip like mine there’s no way you can give a tenant a short notice to vacate your property, my father passed away the next day I was in the Gambia. You're right. They seem more concerned about your house in Gambia than your well-being. At the end of the day, they will be the only ones to benefit while you suffer abroad living in poor conditions.

That’s true last year I was in Gambia around January to February i met with my classmates she told me but your legs are dusty you don’t have oil for moisturing your legs and face, I told her Gambia is too dusty for applying cream and the temperature is very horrible as well (but from experience what the brother is talking here is all true most of the Gambians are jealous towards semester, bro have fun don’t worry about those last class dudes in Gambia them all badmind and jealous)
The thing is the perception they have about the semesters is that they have money when in reality they ain't get shilt. This is because lot of semesters live fake live, they don't really show the people that they are suffering
