I have a jacket from the 70s built out of worsted wool. I inherited this jacket after 40 years of use. Looks great and functional. Sometimes less is more.
The thing about techware is it is INCREDIBLY cool and INCREDIBLY functional clothing, but it is INCREDIBLY niche as well. So, everything is cool, and futuristic and exciting, but only to a certain group of people. Normal people look at it and think you’re a nerd.
I feel like it kind of depends. This jacket feels super low-key, but some of the ones with like a ridiculous amount of straps and stuff yeah that looks nerdy. I feel like you can get away with a lot in terms of jackets though, techwear pants absolutely not those things are over the top 100%
people don't realize how tedious it is to have tons of extra pieces of your tech wear and have to figure how to organize when you don't ever use them or how to clean them.
Idk why RU-vid thinks I like techwear it’s just trashy and looks like you don’t try to look good. The point of techwear is literally for it to be functional and practical, not neccessarily for it to look good Otherwise, why do you carry a bag or backpack? Most of the time actual techwear does not look super fashionable. It’s made with supposed ‘practicality’ in mind. I think people who like tech wear are the type of people who like bags with tons of pockets or think about everyday carries (edcs)
I remember being 15-20 and wearing pants that could morf into short pants and thinking they were cool. I cannot express cringe that I feel now thinking about it now when im 30+ and he is braging about it XD. Its so funny.
So gimicky and not that functional. Sling bags aren't that serious. Real carrying is done by a good sturdy backpack, anything else resembles a purse. Detachable parts are always a pain to put back on which is why you may not have covered that. Better off with zipper slits for ventelation and a pocket collar for hood to retract into

Nah. Peak functionality would be giant mesh pockets and some smaller ones, for phone or heatpad , inside, stretch material layer and more pockets outside+ vents and more vents.
