I’m a fan of the Octo Finissimo line. I think they’re the true spiritual successor to the Royal Oak and Nautilus. But I’m not particularly enamored by this variation. As I’m generally not a fan of skeletonized watches to begin with. As is the case here, it’s just not easy to read the time on them. Too much visual noise. They should of kept the skeletonization to the back where it indeed looks stunning here. Or at least of had the hands made of blued steel or gold, to provide better contrast to the complexity behind.

Tor Ebelthoft still, it has to have some kind of purpose, even if it’s an obsolete one like telling the time mechanically. Otherwise you might as well have something like a Rube Goldberg machine. As all it would take for the most part in this case, as I’ve already mentioned is better visibility for the hands. So all those cogs and wheels fulfill their engineering purpose while still looking ‘pretty’ too.

Too thin and understated, perhaps something lost in translation. Need some depth to increase the play of shadows across the case, lugs and bezel. I'd prefer the bulk of a Harry Winston Opus 14; time is heavy...

It's another amazing Octo. I just wish the hands on this had been fire blued or red anodized or something to make them stand out a little. It's hard to read the time which is the usual issue I have with skeltonized dials. The makers forget what the basic function of the watch is.

I came to see if they used my method for ultra thin gears i designed so i could build a watch without watch maker’s tools. Instead he just talks about how nice it looks. Its a great watch. Really nice. But i was interested in the engineering more

Always hated watches and clocks without numbers where you have to concentrate to tell the time and it is easy to make a mistake.

I tried it on once, and it was so light the only way I knew it was on my wrist was the grip of the strap. When I looked at it tho I had to concentrate on where the hands were to read the time, so on that front it didn't resonate with me, even tho I LOVE the skeletonised design and all the ticking innards.

The more I am interested in watches the less I like all these techno-skeleton stuffs. Best skeletons are Breguet style, gently steampunk. Here you can hardly see the hands. Not matter how it is technologically achieve, you want it to your wrist 🤔 I don't... Bulgari does genuine watches or is it marketing ?

A watch can imagine more if watchfinder promote. An ancient Inca city to a stealth Lamborghini. The V12 of the Enzo, while the power is at chaos at the wheels a 911 GT3 overtake as if the Enzo is a Fiat 500. Nevertheless, some watches are flawless and some are just to busy.
