If I set my goal to 140 bpm I'll probably not get to that because I'll become mentally exhausted but if I go with the goal of 160bpm I'll hit 140... You're a level above me. It's very impressive how you not only can play a complicated piece like this one, but also play it without looking. I've tried playing solos without looking and that alone increases the difficulty exponentially.

I find my answer would be pretty underwhelming even though it's technically tough and took me ages to get down, but I would say Recuerdos de la Alhambra or another tremolo piece on that level. Beautiful sound but holy it's deceivingly difficult to get seamless

I've been playing purely by ear for years and years - which I dig, and is important - but it'll be nice to really gain some level of understanding of what's going on that's not purely what I hear.

This is pretty much my process!

The melody sounds simple and I maybe can sing it but I don't know the shapes, the notes on the fretboard and I don't have this level of technique so this is hard for me tio play on guitar or other instruments. Also the skill to remember and play complex and long melodies such as this is important but skill to compose melodies on the fly such as solos is equally important.
