Was playing this morning, and I said to myself once again, that the 477 is terrible and over powered. Just the armor alone is completely ridiculous. Honestly, I can’t believe war gaming did this.
Easy way to pen a 477A is through the drive wheel. Can be done directly front on same as the maus for example. If you happen to get on on a slight angle it’s easy pen and track. Also you can pen them near the rear end if they are on a 90 degree angle, just aim further back and you’ll have a good chance to pen almost every time
That’s the reason I quit era 3, even I had the chance to get the Obj. 477. But I don’t want to go in a fight with a monkey tank like a Obj. 477 or a Wiesel. Screw you WG for tanks like this.

@@papillon5537 to be honest era 2 is fucked up after release of German lights. Raketenjagpanzer and Begleitpanzer (especially this one) are way too OP! And there are many of them now.
This tank along with weasels undoubtedly spoil era 3, challenger Abrams and leopard tanks are some of the best tanks in the world and are more or less useless now.. totally farcical to play era 3. Such a shame.
In the first week of the launch of this "thing" everyone already knew that era 3 would be compromised, more than six months have passed and nothing has been done, in fact it has gotten worse. Honestly, I don't see the slightest interest in WG correcting this.
Yeah. Its one thing to have a "broken" tank at tier 3, or 5. But you just about need a damn nuke to do something to this tank. Maybe we are gonna get CAS/Airstrike consumables in the future. Who knows. WG fill just F that up too.
That tank is 100% OP when you cant pen it from the front but that first match was against a bunch of bots. I usually just find this tank on my team anymore and get behind it. I have better games this way. I hate when the matchmaker puts 3+ on the other team and we only get one if we’re lucky. Oh hey thanks for the 3 Thumpers that’ll help. 🙄
Why does WG constantly keep repeating the same pattern? New OP Premium tanks that reduce the reason why a player would want to use 'other' tanks in the same Era //Tier? Year after year. How much better off would the game be without PZ. V/IV's, Taren's, Wiesel's, Armadillo's, 477's to name a few.
Cash? Because they stopped caring about the game years ago and are just milking all they can from it by breaking more of their own rules for balancing to make suckers by pay to "win" with easy mode tanks that even a braindead zombie could do well in. Or maybe they just like seeing their loyal playerbase suffer and quit so they get more new frustrated players that spend money on the game?
Makes think do you really want go through to era 3 in the tech tree, all that time and effort only for your tank to be destroyed by a £40/50 premium tank
I've said this about this tank since it came out, the boys will say "it's easy to kill, you just suck".....ya it might be easy to kill if 5 guys swarm it and somebody gets behind it. One on one you lose, or avoid.
@@DavidDarling-u7q you can try by buying the anniversary chests. 1 for 500gold. Every 50 you open you’ll get an epic tank (Molot is one of the four if I can recall correctly). You may be lucky and find it in your first chest or rng god hates you and you won’t get it even after opening 150 anniversary chests xD
I actually think Cold War makes you better at WWII. It makes you aim, learn to lead shots and pinpoint weaknesses. It also keeps you on your toes cause your always spotted. Makes you cautious unless your in the yolo train.
As someone who just started playing Cold War after the rework, and has 8k games played in WWII, I couldn’t agree more that Cold War makes you a better WW2 player. As long as you don’t try to take Cold War “strategy” and apply it to WW2 games anyways, because they’re different obviously. But in Cold War you have to have SO much more situational awareness due to true vision, much faster tanks, ATGMs around every corner, etc. I also agree that it improves your aiming. Cold War tanks are faster and have much smaller and more specific weakspots, so you have to be more precise, especially if they’re moving.
For some odd Reason many Cold War Tanks accross any ERAs don't have HE or HESH, this rounds will go trough the 477 frontal hull and always deliver damage, granted is not good damage but for example with the 105 of the M60AX that does around 460 to 520 Damage regulary, the HE will do 220 to 300 every time, i say GIVE HE TO ALL TANKS, NO ONE USES HEAT WTF! WARGAMING? yes the tank sshould have a reduced speed of 60 KPH TOPS! And make the gun module breakable if not part of health bar, the other problem? yes ZE WIESEL
@CobraCombatClubcan confirm, coming from someone who has ONLY run the Molot in Era 3. The gun is definitely damageable. Only reason I’ve only played the Molot is because I just started playing Cold War after the xp/silver rework. I haven’t gotten any tech tree lines to era 3 yet. I got lucky and managed to pull the Molot out of one of the free celebration chests we got though, so I run it for silver.
Thanks to this tank I started playing war thunder and recently joined their partner program. So now I get access to content early and can request things to my account which is awesome from a content creator point of view.
Era 3 is a "cancer", it breeds tanks like this with players that choose to run around like chickens, auto locking, shooting, and paying zero attention to the map. 13+ groups all head off in their trains and either win or die. I have avoided this Era since this tank came into the game, it's just flat stupid. I do not have it, will not play it if I did, just like the 279E when it first came out. Grinded that sucker for a year, then saw how OP it was and left it in the garage. NO fun when you can just sit and shoot...
I just don't play era3 anymore, until they nerfed the 477a and the weasel. If there will be no changes, I will never play era3 again. And this will be the same in era1 and era2 if they think about adding owerpowered pay-to-win tanks.
I struggle against this thing everytime I encounter it. Finally killed on with Thumper this morning by nailing it repeatedly in the rear while a light kept it tracked.
Since I've been playing WOT (7 years now), I've been hearing CCs and other streamers "singing" this song, but still WG release these totally over powered tanks. Or as @The_MightyJingles said "If you can't take a good joke, you shouldn't play World of Tanks".
I must disagree, even this little pest, Wiesel, won’t pen the Molot. And that’s ridiculous xD but the Molot can destroy the weasel in seconds. So I believe as Wiesels might be frustrating for players who never played it, once you get it you realise it’s not that easy to get good results like you thought when you were ammo racked by it.
When i first came across this ridiculous vehicle, i sold the era three that i owned,and have never played era 3 since, people need to vote with their feet ,otherwise wargaming will just keep releasing these preposterous pay to win fantasy tanks.
Such a broken tank I pretty much ignore it and fire at anything else. Had a losing game the other day because 5 tanks were trying to take one of these out. While the rest of the enemy team cleaned up the rest of our team. This and the weasel ruin the game.
Actually, the 477A can be penned all over the place...I've used HE and HESH to whittle away and make Mr. Invincible...Hitable! Then I run at it and grab a hold of that arse...Who's yo daddy?
As long as the front is facing the enemy, you will have a good game regardless of whether you're a good player or not. You can pen everything without the worry of taking damage, unless its HE. Which only a few have the ability to. So if you have HE, use it against this op tank. Otherwise track it and pray your team will shoot the weak parts for you😂.
It just needs a weak point. Like, I dont understand why wargaming does this, there must be a balancing factor or you get this - an insanely OP tank at what is supposed to be the pinnacle of Cold War. Just like the Taran in WW2, I played this thing about three times and mothballed it. Way too strong. I feel dirty AF playing it.
Definitely can confirm it’s a early hours I’m on the eu server XD About 5 players on each side and bots But regardless it still shows what it can do and one I want to dumb test
The only solution to killing this thing head-on is using HE rounds, which can range from 100 to 500 damage depending on where you shoot it on the upper plate or turret face. A little surprised it was never mentioned. I purposely keep HE roundd to make sure i can destroy these things. And I haven't had much problem in doing so.
The problem with Cold War is that there isn’t any variety. Majority of the tank in cold war are MBTs or IFVs with tons of health, tons of armor, tons of speed, and tons of penetration. Every game that I’ve played in cold war everyone charges into the enemy and does not get punished for it compare that to WW2. Both of these modes play completely different. I believe WW2 requires more skill to play successfully
Atleast the Weisel is fun and it can be shredded by auto cannons and missiles. Both vehicles could be retconned by Wargaming if they wanted to, having said that compensation must be given in gold😮
It gets worse if you notice the rear side of the tank almost glitches into the floor of the map when firing its machine gun or it’s a feature bouncing rounds off the rear because of the angling
imho, if you want to try out WoT, play it on PC for the actual experience and... btw i still think the death star was and still is the most OP tank to hit WoT.. OP and alpha dmg tanks is something you just have to get use to see on the field, yea i know it sucks if your the one not driving it 😆... If you can hurt it you know you can kill it but if you run out of shells before your HP, well your screwed... Grind well Tankers 😎
It's so easy to pin the 477a is so easy to take out from the front when they are shooting the machine gun it raises up the front end more so you have more opening on the lower lower plate I go thru every shot
Me a war thunder player, hoping that this thing doesn't get added, maybe in wt it wouldn't be too op but who knows, that coax hmg seems deadly, and crewless turrets are always strong
477 is a tough cookie but just load hesh or he you will reliably hit for 400-550 lol or just rush it and get behind it lol This tank is a breeze to deal with conspired to all the super high camo rating 80kmp mini guns and rockets.
Wargaming will start 2-3 big sales with the tank, at different prices. After this it will be nerved or they will release a new tank wich kills the molot easily. The new tank would be then a higher price. This is what they are always doing until the game is completely broken.
There is plenty that can be done against that tank. It’s teamwork that gets it eliminated. Too many tanks in WoT are already 1v1 nightmares unless you work together as a team which sadly WoT lacks. Not enough teamwork at all. That’s what makes WoT not enjoyable to play. The terrible teams you get stuck on constantly.
WG are allowed to make money but in the past year they seem to have given up on balancing new premiums. The pay to win is out of hand and I refuse to buy into it or be farmed by so many brain dead tanks. I've stopped playing and fully committed to not coming back to WOTC. Just imagine how bad the game will get when tanks like the 477 go back on sale.
Terrible tank to play against . Only way is to rush him try to detract and use hesh ammo. Ramming is also quite good especially when you have challenger 2
It is overpowered but once you find its limitations head-on definitely but there’s more than one are you you can take it down quite easily yes it could have a bit more weak spots in the front

So frontal armour around 21 to 51mm..and it can't be penned..? Who's kidding who here? Isn't this thing supposed to be almost the same tank as the object 292..or am I thinking of a different object? Anyone wanna bet on WG coming up with something that does...100Km/h? Glad I play cold war era 3 once in a blue moon..and CW not much. Good luck folks...Oh and I would not be surprised if this thing, or one like it turns up sometime...with missiles as well.. So is this thing fun to play? I'd say it's a hoot. I mean who wouldn't want to kill every tank that comes your way? And I reckon you can win games in this you maybe wouldn't win otherwise. So say you have 2 or 3 of these in your team/s...Jeeze. But, after a while it's gonna become a bit stale. But, there'll be some who will use it just because it's so deadly, those who want to see more kills and huge damage numbers. Mind you, it was funny to see a ruddy weasel run for it's miserable life. Will I be paying for one? No. As for WG needing to make money, they make plenty of that. But given the expertise of their programmers and the software they'll be using, how much does it actually cost to create this tank, or any other tank? How long would it take one of these guys to create a new tank? Probably a day or less.. This thing does look similar to the obj 292, more armour along the front of each side, less at the back. Spaced armour is shaped differently..better to bounce shots and thicker. Give it thin frontal armour for less weight but programme it to be far more difficult to pen than it should be. Bung a cannon on the turret so you can keep doing damage whilst the main gun reloads. Increase the gun's power..probably the same gun as the 292 maybe with a few tweaks to it's appearance. Make a few more tweaks to the overall appearance and you have this thing. And make it do 80+ Km/hr...more with traction installed. A bit faster than the 292...which is classed as a heavy tank. And how much Gold to buy it? How many do they need to sell to cover the cost of creating it? Not that many I'm willing to bet. Then I would ask, as WG's main HQ is in Cyprus, and they are their biggest taxpayer, and Cyprus isn't a big country .. how many tax breaks do WG get? Can they claim the costs as a business cost in some way? Paying employees wages is a business cost. R&d maybe? Be of no doubt, this company pulls in a hell of a lot of revenue, their profits will be high. Like any big corporation, investors, banks etc they will have money invested, at this time probably a fair bit invested in oil, gas and other petroleum products such as petrol and diesel. Since early 2022. And a lot more besides. Like any other corporation WG is about making money. ANY business has to be a cash generator to survive, the bigger they grow the more they need to generate. Then there's merchandise, like their range of "Dog Tags" for instance. T shirts, mugs etc etc. But their main income is from the game, mostly WOT I would think. So they create more and more premium tanks, every one has to be better than the rest in some way or ways. God knows how many players will buy the gold to buy the newest tank. These pixel tanks are WG's main product, if they didn't create new products for people to buy they'd lose money. So they began by creating tanks that existed in WWII..but there's only so many of them, so they create tanks that were never built or only a few were..a prototype or two. Then they begin inventing tanks that never existed. You could think of it like Lego, their very early basic kits back in the day, how many are their now to build how many different things? Unlike say Lego where you can buy say the Millenium falcon set, keep it in it's original wrapping and in thre future it's a collectable and worth money..more than you paid for it. With WOTs you can collect tanks but you can't sell them later. Even if you have a tank which is now rare because they don't sell it anymore. You'd be better off buying Lego sets...or Nike trainers. I do NOT buy premium pixel tanks that are not worth wot WOT charge for them. Also I notice the premium ammo on this thing is WOT...800 silver per round...T95E3..5200 silver per round if I recall.. But how many twits will buy gold just to spam gold rounds on this thing? Idiots.

I am a new player..and I am retired (10 yrs), and being on a pension I just don't have the $ to spend to basically buy my game ...so i spend time working my way up the TT lines and play a lot of co-op I di play Multiplayer but the level of j frustration just forces me back to co-op, you drive aTT top tier Abrams ,Challenger etc and you still have only two chances against these (cheater tanks) slim and none...anyway that is my take ...Cheers
While I agree the tank is over powered and I wish I would have bought one when they were on sale some months ago, I also have to address that fact that you are feeling sorry for a bunch of guys who can't aim. I say this because at about 12k damage for you, you only had blocked 752 which tells me they are missing you entirely they deserve to be removed from the game at that point not even trying to shoot you in the week spots or at you since you only blocked 752 by that point. Again I agree its OP but the folks you played against just out right sucked that game.
The problem is the only weakpoint frontally is covered by even more spaced armor and so even if you aim correctly u often wont be able to pen either way
Nope you see there is a bug orglitch in Cold war, i don't know for sure but it looks intentional, were several hits that would be non pens or bounces are not counted for some reason, check the times he got hit rather than the "Damage Blocked" number and you will see that it should be way higher
@@joeb1185Damage absorbed by screens, which is spaced armour doesn't count for damage blocked. External modules taking damage also does not count as a hit box, the entire turret is a module which doesn't count as a hit box.
Every tank has weak spots some more than others. This tank you have to purchase and people who purchase tanks keeps revenue coming in and that's the way war gaming stays in business!
Wargaming releases broken OP tanks so that people can buy them in droves..then they nerf the sh*t out of them. Just look at the avre. Hell, you barely see that tank in game anymore.
The only premium tank WG ever nerfed was the Armadillo, people who bought it whined and cried. The only reason people stop playing cracked tanks like the 477a and AVRE is because they get bored with gameplay it offers and go looking for a different challenge.
@@ztvorek if you can't afford to spend that amount off money stop complaining actually didn't spend money directly on gold I bought 27 general war chests and got dupe tanks that awarded me with a total off 52k gold overall so if you got them tanks that normally you would get from chests then you get gold compensation for them tanks best way to get more gold for your buck

Couze when you start playing you don’t have garage full of prems. Youre POV is very subjective, if you don’t see the problem with releasing more and more OP prem tanks then I guess we won’t find a common ground. I loved playing this game, I loved grinding new lines, the feeling when you finally unlocked tier X was great, like joining a an elite club. But ok, that has changed, I’m fine with it, as long as WG will focus more on balancing the tanks and MM in general. Couze ok, these tanks may annoy me but I can still have good results. But tell me, how many new players already have most of the prems in their garage? Because only in such case buying gen war chests may give u a good profit. And you still have to pay 100usd for these 27 general chests to get gold for dupes. I can imagine if you’re sitting on gold you don’t find it so problematic. But for me tanks like AVRE, like Molot, like Taran and Wiesel, are not balanced enough and I’d like WG to do something about it (even though I own them all besides Molot and Avre)
First off, the tank is very easily killable. The player base needs to learn how to flank.and Surround the vehicle. But then again, most of the player based in era, 3 is pretty stupid same in world War 2 mod

Yeah prob it’s fun for the player who plays it. U were lucky, but what about all the other players who don’t have it? It’s broken. If you’re a good player you’re basically a god on the battlefield. If you platoon in them it’s just a nightmare for your opponents. And it’s just stupid tank. I own both Wiesel and Molot, and wiesel is annoying, true, but it’s not easy to play. This? You can put a new player on it and he will stilll be able to have a good game. And wg, instead of limiting the number of these on the battlefields, just started giving it out in chests xD
It can be purchased, all you have to do is buy enough anniversary chests, and you’ll finally get it. Someone wrote he bought 100 of them - that’s 50k gold. That’s something like 200usd.
Being able to buy it is besides the point. OP tanks in the game are bad for the game because it makes the normal balanced tanks you play less enjoyable to play because you are more likely to get mobbed or overwhelmed.
When people say a tank is op it simply means they struggle to kill it if you know how to take out a tank it becomes just another tank to kill. Same goes for the people crying about the Wiesel it’s not op they just struggle to kill it because of its concealment size and speed. Just learn the weak spots become better players and it won’t be such a struggle and C.C. Jumping on the crybaby band wagon doesn’t do anything except feed the fire of the cry baby players

You are suggesting that 1v1 you can defeat this tank given any situation? I guarantee you any situation you are knocking one of these tanks out is because it is not focusing on you or it is getting teamed up on. 1 v 1 it will out trade you given that you will likely ricochet more tham once, or you are getting HE splashes for 200-300 while it can full pen your tank for 750. Turn your back to try to out run it and you are increasing it's damage against your tank with the auto cannon. What about any of that makes you think the 477a Molot is not over powered?
