Kate Stables and her band pay a visit to the Low Four studio in Manchester city centre to perform songs from their fourth LP Moonshine Freeze. Watch more great sessions like this at lowfour.tv
So glad to have found this music, albeit about 10 years late but better late than never! Kates musical friends are all very talented, love it! It reminds me of a local Ottawa, Ontario, Canada band called 'The Acorn' from about the mid-1990s. No smoke & mirrors, just beautiful strong writing & playing. Not to mention accurate sound reproduction & engineering. I wish all young upcoming musicians could watch this with all ears and eyes open, rather than worry about who's who, what the next superstar will be, etc, etc. Keep it real.
Once in a while, an artist comes along & sneaks into the centre of your very being. Sneaky Kate..... sneaky. Really looking forward to seeing them in the very best festy setting, end of the road (hushed tone) Garden stage.
Beautiful in so many ways. But why does the camera deliberately pan away from the amazing guitar work in Hotter Colder and return to him the second it’s over? TOTP all over again.
Not sure how the crowd is so docile. This is an incredible set filled with rhythm. Come play over the ocean where our souls force our body to move to such mesmerizing sound. You're amazing, people are too blown away inside to dance.
Americans are an absolute joke. OOOO OOO I GOTTA DANCE AND MOVE AND GET ATTENTION OR PEOPLE ON INSTABOOKTUBE WILL THINK I DONT ENJOY THE MUSIC!!! Do you even hear yourself?? Youre embarrassing us all
Love her and the band , the lyrics the tempo i so wish she'd perform in Pittsburgh Pa ( my apt is small me my guitars but they could all camp out here between performance's)
Fantastic Music, sound and songs ! I got here today from NETFLIX "Sex Education' sound track, where one of their songs stood out (Bashed Out). I am even more impressed from their Live Performance - and a Banjo !! Hope to have a chance to see them win concert soon !
=oD I have to have the volume down really low, cos it's 3am here right now and I'll wake me mum... And all I can make out for "By My Demon Eye" is this weird mantra: "Photocopy, Photocopy, Selling Your Master Copy..." I DO actually know the lyrics, but with the volume down rather low and the ambient noise from the fan going round, it comes out for me as... "Photocopy"... XoP
@@brackishband9193came here to listen to it again! And saw your reply! 😅 now i want one! But also want to play like that! Shame the camera wasnt following!
@@rosh_lal_music Gilliman's got a point. This is anodyne, self-satisfied and very, very dull - all the worst aspects of Guardianista/6 Music hipster pandering are on display. It's agonisingly middle-class of course, but you don't have to thrash away documenting the 'struggles of the working classes' to produce music with more life and substance than this. They look like they could knock out 100 albums of this mush every year with little or no effort. Technical expertise counts for nothing when you're producing something so teeth-gratingly twee and smug. This is music played by nearly-deads for the already dead.
