It's like the opposite issue of Don't Scream. DS has no objectives other than move around and don't scream, and nothing threatens you or anything, so its easy to just walk in a line and not care. This game adds objectives, and threats, and a time limit, but basically kills it all by having the most comedically stock assets ever. Unless same devs, but different studio, they aren't made by the same people, either. Not sure why someone said that in Teo's chat.
I didnt see the whole "threats" thing. It didnt seem like there was anything held any gravity. Just jump scares over and over again, some of them even repeating multiple times over the span of 15 minutes. Theres nothing to engage with aside from being quiet. The idea of the sisters seemed cool but once he died to the first one he didnt encounter another one.
@@000claw Oh yeah, basically just the sisters and the timer for getting the pages before 7am. The threats weren't very good, but technically they are there.
I feel like this game was made be someone that doesn't scare easily and think that this is what makes horror "horror" by adding 10000x jumpscares every 0.1 second
I love that Teo talked about Charlie being the kind of guy that doesn't really get scared in horror games, only to end up not being scared himself in this game. 😂
This Minecraft idea sounds cool, imagine 7 people all sharing their health, if one dies everyone dies, lmao and Sammy Daying and said it wasn't me, and teo said who is it? who is this bastard who died, and everyone says not me lmao, that would be chaotic and funny as we like
To be fair to brad, i feel like this would have been way scarier when playing like in the dark and getting some good scares right of the bat. If you play with the lights on in the middle of the day with a stream on without getting immersed while getting some bad scares to start it off with. Already all the tension is dead. But i wouldnt call this worse than monstrum for example, and that game is one of the most terrified ive ever seen teo. But for a game to look this good yet feel so cheap is certainly dissapointing. Especially for (again) how good it looks and the amount of creatures it has.
Agreed, especially if there is no threat. If you go into a game expecting jumpscares that won't kill you, it's like going on a really boring horror ride at a theme park.
Brad has been on a recent kick of horror games and has said each time he has never been so scared/can barely get through it so take that how you will 😅
I like the idea, very flawed execution. Needs better world building and scares that are actually more worthwhile and unexpected, like Fatal Frame or Silent Hill style, no cheap scares all the time, every single time.
Teo changing his mind about reading out his texts with Sammy about the Minecraft idea and Sammy responding with "I've never been so turned off in my life," makes me think... were they having a text *exchange* of *sorts* where Teo abruptly ended it with his Minecraft idea?
That shared health on minecraft thing would be great if when you add more people, it’s random who gets injured or dies with the actual person. So you might lose 3 out of 7 people when someone dies but you never know who it’s going to be lol… does that make sense
Honestly I was stressed watching it thinking why is Teo not scared then I realized if you don't scream then there's nothing to worry about. Learning its jump scare simulator takes all the fun away. Plus that scream in the beginning was from Gmod, every murder map would start with that start scream. Maybe another game had it too.
I'm usually really bad with horror games, even just watching you play, but I have to agree with the others, the jumpscares were too frequent and impactless to the gameplay that it was just awkward. I feel like if each of those scares were actual enemies to flee from and you'd lose by getting caught, the game would be a game, rather than a little walk through experience like you get on VR these days
the enemies look cool but theres zero build up, would have been cool to go into the church, grab the note, and then have the guy show up next to you or something that just stares at you

Ngl if im being honest u really got lucky with finding all bodies that quick and for some reason, there where no monsters that try to kill you or give commands, I'm clueless why. But there where only jumpscares which made your experience for the game really boring I seem. 😂👍🏼
