You’ve got to think of the sequence of effects At 17:00 you can get your Lucci in trash for Rebecca -> Spandine -> Lucci play By playing Rebecca you fill the 5th space, she calls Spandine from trash and you can replace Lucci with him That way you have Lucci in trash for Spandine eff However, if your plan was to pull Lucci to hand from Rebecca to hardplay him after, then yeah, that is a different story xD

I’m hyped for the deck personally, but I wish they’d keep the OP01 style manga heads for the leaders and keep these styles w the full crew behind them for the character versions instead of flip floppin every other set

Roughest matchup by far for sure. Haven’t experienced it myself, but from what I hear it’s pretty much an auto loss for any black leader. We’ll have to see how popular BY Luffy is in our meta compared to decks like Enel. Lucci destroys Enel so it really depends what most people are playing.

From my experience and what I’ve seen online both decks have their strengths and weaknesses. Moria is a LOT better at developing a good board early and dealing with the opponent through cards like Perona/Absalom. Lucci is way better later in the game as you can easily remove large threats with Stussy and easily clear boards with Moria+Tempest Kick+Enies Lobby. I’d say it’s really up to preference at the end of the day.

I keep hearing Vivi gets good in 07 but I can't help but notice this Vivi was unable to use their leader ability for nearly the entire game. A vanilla leader that can't attack 😅

It’s more of her cardpool (Red/Blue) that gets good rather than the leader herself

I thought the hawkins effect only works, if you have a character that he can rest. Otherwise it doesnt work.

Yeah but the problem is that the only KO cards I have are characters. So basically if I KO Hawkins with a character he always has a valid target.

@@AwakenedTCGnot if you swing with everyone before you KO it. you may as well do it even if he gets a free block to remove it from board. you can still swing 4k into a 5k leader to play around it

Newer decks are running him 3-4 times. Its just too good not to run him especially now with 8 c moria. Just buy sime proxies of etsy without sample on them for like 5 bucks. Thats what i did and noone noticed since the normal arts are just foil aswell

I thought the same thing the first time I saw this leader. After playing it and watching gameplay though I’d say it’s a lot better. Quickly building trash is super underrated and having an extra cost reduction on leader is very important sometimes. OP03 Lucci can definitely more easily go for game but the leader effect is really only getting used once or twice in a whole game compared to the consistent value of OP07 Lucci.

You'd be surprised how useful milling is plus now that we're not in op03 and little bodies are not a thing being able to get cards in range for free with lead ability is nice when compared toto swinging twice for game.

while 2 attacks per turn with leader sometimes is certainly useful in some situations, filling the trash and reducing cost much more consistently is a lot more useful. filling trash early allows for earlier 4c lucci plays. while playing op03 lucci, i frequently noticed that if i did not find air door, my plays were hindered severely. this new leader is much more consistent
